Teaching jobs can be very competitive as a school district wants to ensure they hire an individual who will be successful with the students. If you are a teacher who is seeking employment, it is essential that you create an excellent teacher resume.

Your resume will need to be well organized and well written to catch the attention of those first viewing your resume. The resume should include details about your education and any special certifications that you hold. You should also list any professional memberships you hold on the resume. Detail all of your teaching experience. If you are fresh out of college, discuss your experience as a student teacher. You can include information about tutoring jobs you have had or other jobs related to teaching that you have held.

When creating a teacher resume, think about any volunteer work you have done where you have worked with children or teenagers. Provide information on this volunteer experience on your resume. Perhaps you will want to list your minister at church or someone you worked with when doing volunteer work.
