  • Mike, you know I'm not a liberal! I did this blog because not everything is as it seems, that's all.

  • I can see that you two, Mike and Roy, are following the political scene closely. I hope you continue to keep us updated on all of this. I just don't have the stamina, fortitude, or the will to try to keep up with it. I know I should; but, if guys like you keep me informed, I won't have to. I WILL start watching a lot closer as the elections draw near. I have always voted for the candidates that I thought would get the job done right, whether Republican, Democrat, or other.

Back in Texas we had a Democrat that I always thought I should vote for, but never did. He was a Dem., but right wing on enough issues that a lot of conservatives voted for him and he kept the office until just a year or so ago. There was always another candidate that just leaned a lot farther to the right (supposedly) enough to get my vote.

Keep up the blogs. I really enjoy the ones I get a chance to read.

  • I am not sure that the majority of people are going to take any candidate at face value.

My husband David researches everyone and their personal and political views. And in turn keeps me informed of anything controversial. I don't always take his word for it, but respect that he is very thorough.

    I still like Cain.

I will tell you that if there was a Democrat running for a certain office who met my criteria, I would strongly consider voting for them. Not for president perhaps but any other office.

Missouri had a crooked Mayor who claimed to be a Reverend in Kansas City. After he managed to get as much goodies at the taxpayer expense he moved on to be a US Representative with some shameful shenanigans of voter fraud in St. Louis. With redistricting, we might finally get rid of him.

And then he claimed that someone from the Tea Party spit on him. Not true. but He managed to incite things enough that some people believed him even after he failed to produce evidence.

I won't mention names because I don't want to be called a racist. I just know what happened here and how the media helped spread the lie.

Cain seems to be honest and straightforward. So far, no "handlers" have gotten their grips into him.

We don't want catch touchy feeling rhetoric, we want someone who is able and willing to get the job done instead of being in campaign mode for their entire term of office.

  • I know it sounds crazy, but I'd vote for Dave Ramsey in a heartbeat. Google him. Not a politician, as far as I can tell not a D or R.

  • Mike, have you ever checked on Mr. Ramsey? I know I've brought his name up more than once. Listen to his show a few times and you will understand where I get a lot of my ideas from.

  • Ramsey is right on the money about fiscal responsibility. Maybe someone should make him a czar to the treasury dept or the super committee.

He would whip this budget into shape in no time.

  • Well someone understands where my fiscal ideas come from. Dave Ramsey is a doer not a finger pointer.

    Thanks
