Calling all knitters

Posted Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at 1:03 PM

In holding true to my Mothers wishes I'm sharing this with anybody that would like to start a new family tradition. My Mother started making these in about 1951, mine was the first. If you or anyone you know would like the pattern and a full sized picture, e-mail me through my link on this blog.

I made all of us Christmas Stockings. I have 2 old fashion Santa patterns and I use the patterns to knit Santa into dog sweaters

Knitting was my Mothers relaxation.

I appreciate that. My relaxation was/is horses. Don't knkow what will happen if I can't get out there. I guess I'll have to get a rocking chair with a saddle!

I don't know why Roy, I am just slow that way. It took me forever to learn how to embroidery. I had other talents to discover as I got older.

I could probably do it now if I tried. But I am sure it would look very different than anyone else's.
