Bingo!

My great nephew Zane at his 3rd birthday party.
Like an announcer at a Bingo Game, I am going to throw out some random thoughts and theories. I warn you that there isn't any rhyme or reason to these ramblings, but everyone is welcome to post their own ideas or comments.

Scary Movies in the fifties always had a scientist who wanted to save to monster so that they could "study" them for the good of mankind and the enrichment of science.

Aliens from outer space are clearly more intelligent than we are. Why? Because they visited our lowly planet? Because they had built a space ship?

Can we jump the ditch or should we use a nearby board to create a bridge?

One side of the pond have frogs and mosquitoes in residence. Which side do you choose to swim in?

If you can't swim a lick, why on earth are you diving off of the deep end?

Childproof caps are made so that five year olds can open them and adults cannot.

Having good windshield wipers can make all the difference when you find yourself in the midst of a rainstorm.

What happens when you "forget" all the places that you have hidden the Easter Eggs?

A horse trader or a car salesman will always "bend" the truth.

A pair of thongs will mean something completely different to a person who grew up in the 50's and 60's. Someone in their twenties may think of a couple of strings attached together with a triangle.

An entire generation does not know how to operate a rotary telephone.

Popsicles used to come in two parts so that you could share with a friend or sibling.

Seeing lizards, horned toads and snakes was a common occurrence in the summer time growing up.

Betty Crocker, Aunt Jemima, Mr. Clean and Josephine, The Plumber made better TV Commercials. And who could forget "Shake and Bake?".

Ed Sullivan always had a "Really Big Show." No One hit or screamed at each other. Although young girls screamed and fainted when Elvis or the Beatles performed.

The weather was a safe topic of conversation at one time.

Playing Bingo can be fun or expensive. The best part is that you can be playing several cards at once to increase your chances of a win. However, it has been my experience that the little old lady sitting in the corner always has the winning card.

Have a great week everyone!

Thank you. It's like throwing pasta at the wall and seeing if it stuck.

Too much red sauce is being spewed about lately.

Fixing fence is the one of the hardest jobs on a ranch. I no longer live on a ranch, but I do know what hard work is. Fences are everyone's concern, but nowadays, the "hole" is always your neighbor's side not your own. It used to be that you would respect your neighbor and mend the fence together. If their cows got in your field, a simple phone call resolved the problem. You might even saddle up your own horse and help them gather them up. We need more people who are willing to roll their sleeves up and fix the fence regardless of who your neighbor is. There are people in this country who need to be reminded that a fence is like the way you should conduct your life. Your posts should be straight and neat. The wire needs to be stretched tight and your gate might be closed, but can still be easily opened. And most of all, we can all saddle up together and ride the range, it won't matter if you have an Appaloosa, Quarter Horse or Thoroughbred. The cows still have to be gathered, fences have to be fixed, and the range is a wide open space of opportunity for us all.
