Nathaniel's Kansas City Doll. It is the 2nd version of the original and has had many adventures.
Happy Pills come in all shapes and dosages. The natural ones will be the kids who make you smile and laugh. No other pill will give you the same lasting effect as a child that climbs up onto your lap and snuggles as close as they can.
A good cookie jar is essential to every household. It holds the treasures of love. When my son was little, it was one of the first questions that he asked his host or hostess. "Do you have a cookie jar"?
A nice big window where we can look out of and see nature celebrating life every day. Those splashes of color as the birds fly by will lift your spirits. We have several cardinals that have chosen to grace our yard each year. And a couple of blue jays too.
And don't forget the ice decorating the trees in winter as they wait anxiously for their new leaves to make an appearance in warmer weather.
Hold hands often with the person who shares your life. They also need daily hugs too.
Throw out all the garbage of the previous year and start over with something of a personal nature to look forward too. It may be a trip, a life event like a baby or a wedding. Don't let go of all of the flowers of life and trade their beauty for a handful of noxious weeds or stinging nettles.
Mend your fences as soon as a pole starts to lean or a gate starts to sag. Like Prayer, Daily Maintenance is required to keep our lives smoothly running.
Pollyanna had the right idea when she played the "Thankful Game." We have so many blessings given to us every day by God.
Each of us have had some pretty heavy crosses to bear in our lives, but no one has carried theirs as far as Christ did. Few of us have only had a glimpse of how Wonderful His Sacrifice Was for Each of Us.
Happy New Year Everyone! God's Plan for us is far better than what we ever deserve or envision. Keep the Faith.

Fixing fence is the one of the hardest jobs on a ranch. I no longer live on a ranch, but I do know what hard work is. Fences are everyone's concern, but nowadays, the "hole" is always your neighbor's side not your own. It used to be that you would respect your neighbor and mend the fence together. If their cows got in your field, a simple phone call resolved the problem. You might even saddle up your own horse and help them gather them up. We need more people who are willing to roll their sleeves up and fix the fence regardless of who your neighbor is. There are people in this country who need to be reminded that a fence is like the way you should conduct your life. Your posts should be straight and neat. The wire needs to be stretched tight and your gate might be closed, but can still be easily opened. And most of all, we can all saddle up together and ride the range, it won't matter if you have an Appaloosa, Quarter Horse or Thoroughbred. The cows still have to be gathered, fences have to be fixed, and the range is a wide open space of opportunity for us all.
