Life Is Too Short

Posted Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 7:29 AM

Life is too short to spend it with people that:

A. You do not like; and

B. Who do not like you.

Life is too short to go through life searching for just the right words in an effort to not offend (can anyone really do that?).

Life is too short to spend your time doing things that you really do not enjoy.

Life is too short to continue paying taxes to something that just cannot be, at this time, when other things can be done NOW to help a community and those in it.

Life is too short to take things at "face value." Sometimes, different is good!

Life is too short to judge someone/something based on words alone. Sometimes things/people are not what they seem.

Life is too short to not take chances and see what is behind door number two! You have to venture out to know what is out there.

Life is too short to have more regrets, could have, should have, would haves than "boy I am I glad I did that(s)."

Life is too short! Get involved. Vote. Make a difference/impact. We direct our futures. Be accountable and own it. Demand better!

OMG ! Sam Died ? How horrible ! Is his Mother still in the Nursing Home? This news is so sad, tears are coming gotta go

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Sun, Oct 3, 2010, at 9:15 AM

Geez Mike, I am so sorry to hear about Sam. We have all lost a good person. Very sad. Mike, I am sorry for your loss as I know he was a friend of yours.

My husband had a shotgun that broke and it was one he really liked. Sam could not get the part to repair it. He asked my husband to give him some time and he would fix the gun. He made, by hand, a firing pin. He was really great with guns. Very sad loss.

Well, I hope you have a nice few days away with Donna. Enjoy it. Take some time to smell the wild flowers. I hope you have a nice time.

I am sorry for your loss. He was a great guy.

OM, very nice poem

I am so sorry to hear about Sam, he was a friend for years of my husbands. My husband is shocked to hear the news. we had been busy with family events all week and my husband did not get over to the shop this past week. Sam was a great guy.

Thanks WB. Glad to see you are still around. How is that baby doing? You have been busy I am sure. Sam will indeed be missed. He was a pretty cool guy. Take care of yourself WB.

The baby is getting big,she is now 15 months old. They now live in Little Rock, daddy went to Little Rock AFB when she was 2 months old. We have been back and forth and so has our daughter and her. I see her ever night on skype, its wonderful watching her grow and when we do see her she knows us. Daddy is in Iraq for a little while but all is well.

It is such a shame same left us so soon.. he and my husband had been friends for over 18 years.

You take care also, we'll get together sometime.

Take care,

Does anyone have any details on Sam Beach's funeral or memorial service?

It is strange. Not even an obit on Sam. I would call the gun shop. If that does not work, I am sure Mike will have some info when he returns.

Bee, it would be nice to see you again. I look forward to it!

So Sad I loved Sam and his Mom very much and they will both be missed. I spent more time with his Mom at the Nursing home then I did Sam. However through his Mom I met him and really liked him right off. He was a very caring, loving person. I heard through the grape vine that before Sam's Mom died she said she was coming back to get Sam.

I didn't get into politics with Sam which I think is good that we don't all talk politics day & night. I knew his Mom was very Possessive of him, but then I think he was her only child and he is all she had for the last few years. I feel bad that I wasn't there at her end and because of her & Sam I am going to start going back to the Nursing Home to spend some time with the residents. They won't know me, but in time they will, just like Sam's Mom she was one I looked forward to visiting.

Sammy was a guy who would cheer anyone up with his jokes and while he was very dedicated to taking care of his Mom, I think all the chatter here about his personal life and disease is something not to be discussed in a BLOG but HIS business alone. Let's remember Sam for the great man he was and leave it at that. TMI on someone deceased is not appropriate, I sure would'nt want folks discussing my private affairs in a public blog after I go. I loved Sammy and will miss him terribly. I also will post more info on his service etc. R.I.P Sammy

Sam will be greatly missed. He went before his time, IMHO. Very big loss. He was one heck of a guy.

Well stated Bazooka. Sam was a really good guy. Always had a smile for me. Rich liked him as well. It is a great loss for all who knew him. It is good to know that there may be someone who could repair a gun if one of us needed it. Who wants to test out the new guy first? You know that Sam is laughing at all of us right about now.

Bazooka, all of our best to Donna. You have a great day as well. Too wet to shoot today. I hope you have a good one!

I have lived in Mountain Home for over 11 years now. I love to be outdoors in wide open spaces (as long as it does not involve camping...in a tent and an out house). I dislike Government waste/abuse of tax dollars and "sky is the limit" spending by those that we elect to represent "us." I value free speech when what is stated is factual (as opposed to lies, gossip and un-truths). I love the Chicago White Sox (I never said I was perfect) and the Broncos are okay too! I am 38 years old and married to a guy who is active duty USAF (and a Cubs fan...he is the "perfect" one). I am anti-nuclear and against further desecration of our planet with waste that we can do little to nothing with. If you dislike blunt, this is not the blog for you. Enjoy!
