Kids will be kids, I did it, and kids will continue to do it. Why get all pumped up over it?

  • Because one day those kids will be the people on here screaming about how the MHPD wastes resources and people need to understand they can't be screaming about wasted resources while their children run around wasting the MHPD's time.

I guess we can get pumped up when one of these "kids" gets hit by a car or killed while running from the cops for no reason. If you are doing nothing wrong why run?

It's not a game and just because someone did it before dosen't make it right.

If someone jumps of a cliff would you follow?

Lol you people crack me up. What's the difference between doing this, and kids trying to get beer. It happens and it wont ever stop. If cops wanna be watching the parks at night rather than watching the people leave the bars at night, then thats for them to decide. Those kids are not going to learn there lesson until they get caught or worse. Its all part of being human. Kids do stupid things. They always have and they always will.

  • The point is a lot of these kids wouldn't do stupid things like this if their parents were more clear about how stupid it is. It's a problem because it wastes resources- I'm sure MHPD does patrol the bars too, but I doubt a dealer would show up there- it's too easy of a target.

I'm not arguing with you any more on this, Zombie. You have a tendency to troll. You've had your dinner, now go back under the bridge.

If the parents were actually being parents then this wouldn't happen. If I would have done something like this as a child I would have had my butt tanned. Then my father would think I had to much time and give me more chores. No I never tried to get beer as a child nor did I run from the cops or even had a reason too. Guess I had a boring life but at least I had parents that took the time to teach me right from wrong, they were actually parents and not just people that had kids that they did have time for.

  • First off I would like to say melodie just because your in "journalism" at some university OUT OF STATE doesnt mean you know everything, or should write a story on something when you dont even live here. I would also like to ask, why you DIDN'T put all of your comments on the facebook part you posted??? yet you put everyone else's on there......

For instance your comment: "Good to know Mountain Home is producing quality citizens. SO glad I got out of there..."

Why associate yourself with a town when you clearly don't want anything to do with this place???

    Or even this link: http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fjamondepatanegra.com%2Fclasses%2Fwa...

If your going to post something on this news site were everyone can see it, at least have the decency to share everything and not just the stuff that makes other people look bad.

    1. My choice to go out of state was because my family was due to receive orders shortly after I graduated. I wanted to be near my extended family for support, since my parents will not be near my school. My education in journalism has NOTHING to do with this blog, because it is BLOG. It is not a story- it was an observation and a call to action.

    2. My final comments, which are not in the picture, were placed after the screen shot, which is why they did not make it into the post.

    3. I left Mountain Home, and will not return, for multiple reasons, but largely it is because when I begin raising children, I don't want them raised around some of the people I went to high school with- people who think it's fun to waste cops' time for example.

    4. I associate myself with and care about Mountain Home for several reasons. Though I do not wish to be there, I consider it my hometown- I lived there the longest of all our stations, met the man I plan to marry there, and many of my best friends were made there. Some of those friends remain there, and because I care for them and their families, I worry about the well being of their home.

    5. That link was posted, again after the screen shot, in response to someone's insult toward me. I'm not sure what importance it has to you other than that.
