Wow, Bazookaman, I CAN imagine you have other husbands/boyfriends after you! My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year now, and he does/says the most wonderful things.... I know now how it's supposed to be. When you guys treat women like that, we definately try to make it come back to you.

Great blog Melodie! I agree it can be very commercialized, but if we use it as a reminder to let our loved ones know how we feel, it's a great day to celebrate love.

Valentine's Day is simply another Greeting Card holiday, commercializing the Christianization of a pagan celebration that involved animal sacrifice and a lottery-based pairing of men with young women. That being said, candy, flowers, a nice dinner are all good things. But you shouldn't need a designated holiday to express your love for someone. Just do it.

  • Well stated Vic. Treat each day as if it could be your last.
