Happy Thanksgiving!Posted Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at 8:57 AM
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I don't know about ya'll but I have a lot to be thankful for...I am alive and breathing, I have a family who loves me, and a job that pays decently well. And thats more than some have in this country and well to be honest this city, have. But if we do have these things then we should be thankful, and we should let people know we are thankful for what God, (I believe), or whom or what ever put you on this planet, has given you. As a whole we spend so much time thinkin about what we dont have...the new car, the million dollar house, the whatever it is you wish you had, that we forget what we do have. I for one am happy with what I have, and am gonna spend the rest of the year spreading the joy of what I am thankful for and what I am happiest about. I challenge you all to do the same. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a great start to the holiday season....

And as I say why be structured when you can go wild! I am married to an almost retired Air Force man, and we have 2 daughters. We lived on the base for 4 1/2 years but now we live in town. I love this place, and we are probably going to retire here. Woo Hoo! I like to consider myself smart, and savvy on the way things are, but like all of us...I have my moments. I tell it like it is, and try, really try, to be tactful, but there is a time and place for everything and if you need it I will put you in your place.

You're right Jessie...the rest of our lives. I for one am sitting here thinkin about that poor little girl's family who won't have her little voice telling everyone what she was thankful for. And it breaks my heart! Gonna go find my little ones and hug 'em till they beg for mercy.
Great message Erica, thanks for sharing.
I will take that challenge and up the ante. Not just the rest of the year (I know you would continue also) But the rest of our lives.
And I'm not afraid to say (whether politically correct or not) Happy Thanksgiving and Merry CHRISTMAS.
