My Feelings on Todays Sad Event!

First and foremost...prayers to the teens family.
I was raised on a ranch where guns were an everyday thing. We were taught to respect them and the power they can have. Our guns were kept loaded, but we were also taught from as far back as I can remember, that they could kill if played with. Heck we used them to hunt, so we all knew. It seems to me that if you have firearms in your home, you should have a sit down with your children, and teach them...IDK I'm just saying is all. But to too many people guns are "toys/status symbols" now...we have desensitized ourselves so much that some of us have lost the respect we should have for firearms. Let this be a lesson to us all, its not the guns that kill, its the ignorance people use around the guns. Nuff said...prayers and peace to the family!
Happy Thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I don't know about ya'll but I have a lot to be thankful for...I am alive and breathing, I have a family who loves me, and a job that pays decently well. And thats more than some have in this country and well to be honest this city, have. ...
So Tragic...Death and Stupid Comments made! I am so tired of seeing comments made about how anyone who dies in a vehicle accident, and is behind the wheel, being at fault. I dont care if the person was at fault, I dont care if it was a flippin cow pie on a dark stretch of road, or a banana peel. A PERSON DIED! Be respectful, what if it was your wife, husband, child, friend, etc, etc, etc. Remember that little tid bit of wisdom, and say like the rest of us, condolences to the family...

I am/was a firefighter...structural then wildland. And as I say why be structured when you can go wild! I am married to an almost retired Air Force man, and we have 2 daughters. We lived on the base for 4 1/2 years but now we live in town. I love this place, and we are probably going to retire here. Woo Hoo! I like to consider myself smart, and savvy on the way things are, but like all of us...I have my moments. I work full time, and then I go to my job. As you can tell I have a different type of sense of humor, but most like it. In a nutshell, I am me and there is no defining me. I tell it like it is, and try, really try, to be tactful, but there is a time and place for everything and if you need it I will put you in your place.
