I am interested in this Community, County, and the beautiful state of Idaho. Most of my photos will be in Idaho, but from time to time, they will be my vacations aay from Idaho. You'll see lots of my Children and Grand children, along with others in my family. Of course there will be horses and horse related things, and things I photo'd horseback.

Bits of our Entry into Vegas Baby

If you've seen Vegas, you'll just have to forgive me. It's my blog!

Unusual for me, I'm a bit grumpy, so if you wanna be a child and throw a big fat baby fit, hit the "Back" button now. heheh

I hadn't been here since a child, and only had a vague memory. I'm easy to please, for the most part. This pleases me! I've been to some big cities, mostly thanks to horses, but not lit like this one! Wayne wishes we had come into it in the night, so I could really see it lit up. But this was awesome too. None of these are real good shots, since they are taken thru the windows of the truck, but they're not bad. As you can see, it was a beautiful sunny day!

Now, down to business. We have to settle the Filly. She has, after all, traveled as far as we have! She's a bit hesitant to get out of the trailer, ...says she has been perfectly comfy in there.

We convince her to go for a walk, and stretch her legs.

I've been to these events a few times. It doesn't get old. And I hope (I'm sure) it never does. It's awesome and awesomer/awesomest to be a part of this! It's exhausting, but worth every tired and worried moment. It's not just being part of something big, it's being part of something that carries on a Legacy, that might seriously be lost without inspiration. Seeing people come from all over the world, to share their experiences, memories and hopes and dreams... well... I can't precisely put that into words.

This is the Horse End of the Hotel. Totally Secure. You can't get in there without a key, and you better have a pass with you, if someone sees ya!

Up until a few years ago, I hadn't been to Vegas sine before the new strip was built. I couldn't believe my eyes. I made sure to take the time to go to the old strip, or what's left of it before it's gone forever. Hope you did the same.

Roy, we went to the "strip" one evening, but I don't know if it war old or new. I suspect newish.

Next year, I want to go to Excalibur to see the jousting!

We had fun, but really, Vegas isn't my thing. I guess everyone should do it tho.

We used to drive through it on our way to Tucson. Pat would never stop but I did talk him into stopping once. We looked down at it at night and the lights took my breath away. That was a long time ago, can't even imagine what it looks like now. I'm happy for you Jessie and happy you were married there.

I have stayed at the Excalibur and the Monte Carlo. there are so many new ones built since the end of the 90's. I loved walking around and enjoying all of them.

Fremont Street was the best experience.

There is so much to see anywhere you are there! The South Point Hotel, where we stayed, is so huge, had everything we needed and more. We only left, cuz it seemed like we should. But really, were too tired to truley enjoy!

Another time! I can't wait to see the jousting at the Excalibur, for sure! A year will go fast I hope!
