  • I am so glad that you are back Jessie. Love the pictures, so beautiful. Isn't nice to spend time on the open range? I took it for granted growing up.

    Great blog and wonderful pictures.

Thanks Bonnie, glad to be back! I have a summer worth of photos to blog about.

I'm struggling with a new computer. Got macmac Everyone says "ya gotta have s Mac for photo work, so i decided to try one. I've had to buy a new computer about every year, so I'm hoping to stop that. All new OS, and new programs. I bought a blog program, since Live Writer doesn't work on Mac. (sob snif)

Point is i don't seem to understand it entirely, & have no idea when it plans to publish. The "test" blog, wasn't even supposed to publish. It was from over a week ago! Then just showed up! I'll master it tho, cuz i have to. Ugh

    Thanks for encouraging!

  • I have been busy too. Taking care of unexpected business. Coming to Idaho in November and looking forward to it.

  • How do you like photo work on your mac, Jessie?

I am hoping to make the switch as soon as the cash is saved up, but I'm worried because I only have a license for PS5 on PC.

I'm starting to enjoy it. First week or so i thought I'd made a serious mistake. It sat for a few days & i just looked at it. But i got work to do, so got serious about learning. Actually after learning how stuff works, it became easier. Just had to let go of windows. Have cried over losing some windows only programs...

I like it now though! Good luck!

The Mac has been the "platform of choice" with folks with serious photo related graphics needs for many years. Today's Windows applications were developed to mimick the features found on early Mac applications.

The Mac is far less prone to viruses and hackers and the apps are generally more consistent between major upgrades, which greatly reduces the learning curve. (MicroSoft could make some major improvements in this area, my honest opinion!)

All of this from a guy that made a living on the Windows side of the fence from 1984 to 2005!

Warren, I've been on a computer at work for years, was even in networking & technical support for years. Now that I've got the hang of it, I've come to realize how nice it is. I go back to my windows machine some & it is clear to me the Mac easier. Now i struggle with both! Lol

That is funny, Jessie. When I wrote that post, I had closed it with "but you probably already knew that". When I previewed it, I didn't like the way it sounded, so I changed it to the thing about my old job.

It's amazing that I used to tell people all over the state how to work a command on the CADD system we used, over the phone, with four different operating systems on five different hardware platforms. Now I have trouble using Android on my tablet, Win7 of my PC and sometimes even my cell phone.

    They're ALL smarter than me!

Yep, also one thing I know, is once you don't do it daily, those things 'up and change' on ya. A year is a lifetime in technology. I can still fumble my way around, but I can tell it's not my living any more!
