Highlights, Part DeauxPosted Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at 1:42 PM
My Sister visits, and finds out that though I say I've been working, Life is just fun
See the similarity? Though she definitely looks more civilized than I.
The Wildlife cooperated as usual, and I got to show her around.
Wayne's sister came to visit, with husband and friend. THAT was a fun day on the lake that I think maybe I mentioned once or so
I took this of this fawn from the boat.
Couldn't help it, we swam~
Marshmallow gets another fan.
Horses try to sneak in the barn.
When someone wants to ride, they ride
We have admirers of all kinds
And finally a horse does sneak in the barn!
I'm pretty happy that I got to meet Tom Davis. He is 97 years old, and irrigates hundreds of acres of pasture by hand. Trust me, I've seen him do it. Gives new meaning to keep on keepin' on huh? Everyone should have that kind of work ethic. He is the Grandson of Tom and Julia Davis, who donated the land that the Julia Davis Park in Boise is on. The stories he can tell were fairly spell binding. Of course, I like old history like that. But he talks of riding horseback from Boise up to the ranch we were on. Taking 2 days in a snow blizzard, with his sister.
My sister sees another part of what we do
Scout makes a new friend
My sister's Dog, McKenna couldn't help barking and wanting into the corrals where we were sorting to ship. So, she had to stay inside, But she looks cute!
Two Wonderful men.
Sharon had visitors from California, of course she brought them to us! Who doesn't benefit from going back to basics? We just take them along working with us.
I did say they were from California.... so handling a barbed wire gate can be tricky...but we make them do it!
The rewards are endless: All you have to do is look
I'm pretty sure he got some good shots
ahhh yes! The High Tech boat on the aforementioned lake
Again, the wildlife helps out, and who doesn't love to see the baby?
I think they enjoyed
Again, if you want to ride, you ride
Our Twin Granddaughters come up with Megan, I'm pretty sure they enjoyed themselves
Megan rides with her Daddy
And again... they ride
Megan and I do a "photo shoot"
I was asked to photograph a Rugby Game. I found they are very fun and somewhat crazy!
Al's Mom, Wendy gives me a what for look ... wish I could say I slapped it off her face, but alas, I didn't!
Al and Marshmallow are in their 1st Rodeo. A Grandma doesn't get a lot more proud than I was. And I think I can speak for Grandpa to say he was too!
Al gets bucked off her 1st steer, only to land on her feet. Ya know the saying "Always comes out smellin' like a Rose"?... that's her
Jilly and I
Evan and Al
Of course Bryce HAD to ride
Jilly was in HER 1st Rodeo. Won't be her last. She'll be ready to go it alone next time. We were just being cautious.
Scarey, but never actually crashed
My Nephew gets married to a wonderful girl
Marshmallow and I were in our 1st Play day together with long time friend Michelle
This girl had a great ride, and didn't come off
we won the "Egg Race"!
Strange things happened
Got to spend time in Nevada's San Jacinto
LOVE those Fall Colors
We get to ride in an indoor arena for our lessons, and I got to ride my old horse Eclipse, Though he is Sharon's now
Good friends, good horses, perfect
Bryce turns 3 !!!
Another trip to the San Jacinto, and got to know Charles (from Belgium) Wouldn't have wanted to miss that.
Grandsons work with us, and learn about Signature Rock
Cash turns 5
We had a Snow Day
Penneys had her first puppies
We had a magnificent Bonfire
Goblins showed up to scare us on Halloween
Not sure, but we think something magical happened
lesson kids join with my grandkids
My Son turns 29
Marshmallow says
It's been a great year!
I know I've missed stuff, so I'll no doubt be back. This is all I got last night.

I am interested in this Community, County, and the beautiful state of Idaho. Most of my photos will be in Idaho, but from time to time, they will be my vacations aay from Idaho. You'll see lots of my Children and Grand children, along with others in my family. Of course there will be horses and horse related things, and things I photo'd horseback.

Wonderful photos as always and as always lots of fun to share with us.
I think I might know how your Grandson Bryce got hls name. I used to help my friend clean that office a long time ago when it was in that big old victorian house which now sits over by East Elementary
Not sure which old Victorian house you're referring to..
I just love the pictures and re-caps. I am going to try to do that myself.
Thank you for your support last night.
No problem.... glad I was there for ya
And glad you like this blog
The one that used to sit across from the post office
ahh... yes, I know which one you are referring to. My Dad worked with Bryce for awhile.
But my Grandson Bryce is in no way/shape/or form named after him. I hope no one else thinks that!
LOL
I've known BT for years obviously ...and just my personal opinion..I don't care alot for him
LMBO, Have known BT since he was in the AF and was here when he moved that old house over to N 10th. After I retired from the AF he was the first person I ended up work for on houses.
I knew your Dad was there with BT and I not only helped a friend clean there, I also had another friend that worked there. My boys did yard work and I sometimes helped them.
Thanks Bo, I appreciate your comment. My photography is starting to kind of take over my life ..in a good way!
Yeah, I wasn't thrilled with her riding the steer, but I had to take a step back and let it be. As it was, she learned...well, nothing! or something... LOL, she's a toughie!
And I love Idaho too!
My dad didn't like us girls to ride steers either. A bucking pony yes @ the Miniature Rodeo at Fair time.
He always said that the steer would never hesitate to step on you, but a horse would go out of its way to avoid doing so.
I don't think that I am as brave and tough as your granddaughter. But girls these days seem to have something extra.
Ahhhh these steers are pretty gentle, they mostly are just running.... But she is a tough one!
