One Way to Keep WarmPosted Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at 11:36 AM
Monday was very cold, if you remember. We had a Bonfire planned... and I wondered if we would have "No Shows"
I should have known those that like to have fun wouldn't let me down!
We did our normal Monday riding lesson. By the end of the lesson, the girls were just about rattling our of their skin.
We started the Bonfire with help from my son.
It got quite tall and big....and HOT
I was wondering "How are we going to roast weinies on this?" Can't get close enough to do it.... hehheheh. I contributed to "Global Warming" this evening!
I had to rescue the bag of Marshmallows that were sitting on a wooden spool. The bag was starting to melt!
What had to happen was a 2nd fire had to be made...so that it was small enough to get close enough to, to be able to roast a dog
We had plenty of dogs, mustard & ketsup. And we "wait" on no one! Kids become independent at our house, or they go hungry!
Here, Al is showing off her perfectly golden browned Marshmallow
Bryce is saying "bye bye" to Jess. He's ready for bed.
Another perfectly browned Marshmallow
Jess, caught texting at dinner. An infraction!
Jilly mentioned her toes were cold, so Wayne is helping her roast them!
Then he hugs her head tightly, before hugging her "Goodnight"
Al made the mistake of saying Her feet were cold... you know the answer to that!
Somewhere along the line, that bag of Marshmallows exploded on my backside. I am very grateful it was noticed before I sat on my furniture!
We did have fun! And we plan another one in a month or so. Stop by if you see it!

I am interested in this Community, County, and the beautiful state of Idaho. Most of my photos will be in Idaho, but from time to time, they will be my vacations aay from Idaho. You'll see lots of my Children and Grand children, along with others in my family. Of course there will be horses and horse related things, and things I photo'd horseback.

I don't know the exact guidelines, but I would imagine where folks can see it and think there is a fire. If someone calls and says there's a fire.... they have to go check. If far enough out, maybe not.
Thanks Jess I thought maybe those who live farther out on ranches or farms wouldn't have to call it in, even when their burning weeds.....
Yep you are supposed to call in Marilyn
It's too hot to have a big fire in the summer! We did have a couple fires to make Smores tho
Jessie
Lot's of fun! Were old so we do ours in the summer months :0 By the way do you have to call in when you do your bonfire? We live outside of town in the county and we have to call in even when we burn in our burn barrel.
Yep JYD. Unless it's a Blue Heeler....hehehe. JK
Just slang
Roy, we do have fun!
Lord I envy you folks. Someday I'll be able to get down there.
I know you meant roast a "hotdog"/"frankfurt" instead of "to be able to roast a dog"....right, Jessie?
Yep bond fire a bit big for roasting mm's
ha!
Glad you found the marshmallows. I suspect they might be useful if your horse ever bucks.
:) !
Fun!
