From Concrete to what Louis Armstrong sangPosted Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at 9:20 PM
I thought I'd share my weekend trips with you. Now that I'm back in town for the year/Fall/Winter/Spring ...I have to do a bit of commuting. I could stay home, and long for the open valleys and high mountain tops. But I choose not to. In less than (sometimes) 3 hours, I can go from hard tops to a little red roof house in the valley. I noticed things as I was going along, and thought I'd record the drive. these are just taken with my phone, so 'scuse the quality This is along the highway alongside Boise Along the State Highway, after Eagle To the right of me, is what is called "Avimor Estates"
I LOVE when I can start seeing the signs to McCall! Yay! I also love when I can start seeing glimpses of the Payette River It's funny, when Wayne saw this picture he said "It's funny you got a picture of that bus. It went right by our house" So, if you don't feel like you'd want to drive, there are buses to take you on a pleasant excursion. It's starting to smell soooo good.... I wish this blog site had a "ScratchNSnif" capability! It's just a bit pretty huh? I'm so close now, and now things are so beautiful to see, I'm relaxing already. Scout is anxious to get there also. He is sure the pups have been "bad" while he is gone. But he comes home with "Mom" to be the guardian. He will beat them up though, ever so lovingly The concrete is fading from my mind, ...can you possibly wonder why I love this? Is this what Louis Armstrong sang of...Skies of BLUE?? And of course, Clouds of WHITE Then I get there, and see my horses.....all is well How do you do? I see babies...I watch them grow
We go for a drive, and maybe do some salting ...and go by the lake and the trees of Green And Scout wants his picture taken What a Wonderful World You may have a different world, but however it is, you need to enjoy it. I am interested in this Community, County, and the beautiful state of Idaho. Most of my photos will be in Idaho, but from time to time, they will be my vacations aay from Idaho. You'll see lots of my Children and Grand children, along with others in my family. Of course there will be horses and horse related things, and things I photo'd horseback.

Jessie:
I needed some of that beauty, thank you. I am so disappointed in some people right now.
I shouldn't be out trying to run with the big dogs.
I love the pics. It makes me homesick. I remember that particular ride to McCall.
Thank you for continuing to make the world a beautiful place with your pictures.
Bonnie, you just have to be like me in some ways. Sometimes you just can't make "those folks" think nice,....
I prefer to live in "My World" .... but for sure I see the stuff that is ugly and dismal. I worry, and yep, sometimes they get me down. The thing is, I KNOW I"M RIGHT.
Years ago, I was frustrated at someone who didn't believe in Jesus, etc. I was horrified and shocked, dissappointed, and afraid that I wouldn't be able to "say the right things" I can't quote scriptures much, or versus..etc... but my faith is so strong, that I wasn't comfortable saying nothing. It wouldn't have mattered, but it was someone so near and dear to my heart and soul. Another dear friend of mine said, and this is not verbatim. but something along the lines of
When you know, you know, What IS, is. It doesn't need to be defended or convinced of. It will never change. And it/HE will be there when anyone/everyone is ready, and it's inevitable, they will come in their own time.
I have rarely wasted another second/minute on worrying about that, because HE will take care of it, in his Forgiveness
I worry, but I have Faith and GREAT OPTIMISM. And the World is a Wonderful Place...and I'm reveling in it. I"m sharing the beauty as best I can, and helping as many as I can to appreciate what is available out there. As are you, in your way.
Don't let them get ya down!
hey...I saw on my way home a sign saying "Camp Cascade" last Sunday. Whatcha wanna bet I go in and take some pics next time??????
Chin up! And keep doing what you're doing. Don't give the satisfaction!
Bonnie, very pretty pictures. I've made that drive a few times myself and love it. One of my other favorite drives is up Grimes Creek Rd. up past the end of the asphalt all the way to Centerville. I am just about ready to try and get away for a day or 2.

We must be like twins, they keep getting our blogs mixed up.
Thank you for your kind words. I am pretty comfortable in what I believe and there are very few things that make me mad, but I do have limits. We cannot keep stepping on each others toe with comments that are thoughtless and personal.
If you take some pics of Camp Cascade, they have a long driveway and I think that there is a gate there too. It has been over 35 years since I was there.
Thank you for keeping the beauty of God's Creations alive for us all.
Lol
Nice. Horses look especially healthy and happy.
Thanks Skeeter. I know some people think that horses being worked is mean. But, My horses ARE happy. They come a runnin'/trottin' when we call. We let them have their thoughts, and encourage them. We also have strict structure for them. I believe horses and children prefer structure and "lines" ..without that, they would always be looking for the line. My kids, grand kids and horses KNOW what's allowed and what's NOT allowed, so they can be happy not wondering. And they get plenty of love and fun too....
they are healthy and happy.... what's not to love
Thanks for appreciating them
Jessie
