  • What you may not know is how blessed the Rusty Spurs 4-H club is to have Jessie as our horse leader. Jessie has devoted her time to our children with the only motivation behind it being to see them smile while riding their horses. Jessie has no kids in 4-H any more or grandkids, she is giving up her time because she has such a big heart. This woman is a shining example of what a I hope to become. By the way when my little student fell off and cried I had to keep from crying because she is like another one of my kids and I love her dearly.

  • You are right about experience. I have watched C get thrown into a jump, not a fun activity for a Mom. She did get back on, just like she urged P to do and she does the same with her girls. 4-H leaders and others who work with youth like you do are to be commended. Programs such as this can change young lives for the better. Thanks for what you do.

Thank you very much for that Phammond. I do truely appreciate that. We love working with the kids, and we've both seen what it can do for a child's life.

  • First off thanks for shareing my fall with the world!! J/K But I do have to agree Rusty spurs is beyond lucky to have the 3 leaders that they have. I have never met 3 people as knowledgeable as our leaders, that take the time to share it with kids that are so younge! Most adults wouldn't "waist their time". I know that my girls think Jessie, Wayne and Christine walk on water and really do pay attention to what they have to say. They have both improved 10 fold just this year and are loving every min. of it!! Thanks you guys you are the best and all that you do dosen't go unnoticed!!

Hay, thanks for your comment too! The world loves seeing how you persevered against that small bit of adverity...AND how you were good natured thru the whole thing. THAT is why I posted it...the focus wasn't on the crash...but your wonderful attitude about the experience..
