More on my OlympiansPosted Thursday, May 27, 2010, at 1:53 PM
I realize it takes alot to become an Olympian, but I'm calling 'my girls' Olympians....cuz that's what they are to me. They are all winners...and I'm proud of what they do, and go thru. We all go to the measures that we need to be safe, but this blog will show, that "The agony of defeat gets us all" It only takes a moment to go from this To this sequence of events. These horses are moving pretty quick..... so changes happen in the blink of an eye. This is one my favorite Moms in the whole world. If you look closely, you can see she is still smiling. She does what is correct. She gets back on that pony and does it again. "Cowgirls don't cry" Then her daughter also re-rides. We are lucky enough to have among us what I consider a "World Class Teacher" In my opinion, (and of course everyone has an opinion) you can't teach something, that you aren't willing to demonstrate by doing. We have that covered here. Christine & Otis This young one took a spill.... this is her back, where she landed on a rail. The pictures above, show her jumping after the crash. No Fear. This is a young girl that has started with me in the last few weeks. She has won her first ribbons at a horse show. (last Saturday when it was COLD outside) These are her first jumps in an English Saddle. Opening and shutting the big gate on her own.
See ya next time!

I am interested in this Community, County, and the beautiful state of Idaho. Most of my photos will be in Idaho, but from time to time, they will be my vacations aay from Idaho. You'll see lots of my Children and Grand children, along with others in my family. Of course there will be horses and horse related things, and things I photo'd horseback.

What you may not know is how blessed the Rusty Spurs 4-H club is to have Jessie as our horse leader. Jessie has devoted her time to our children with the only motivation behind it being to see them smile while riding their horses. Jessie has no kids in 4-H any more or grandkids, she is giving up her time because she has such a big heart. This woman is a shining example of what a I hope to become. By the way when my little student fell off and cried I had to keep from crying because she is like another one of my kids and I love her dearly.
Well .....who knew I could be brought to tears
Thanks Christine....
Jessie
You are right about experience. I have watched C get thrown into a jump, not a fun activity for a Mom. She did get back on, just like she urged P to do and she does the same with her girls. 4-H leaders and others who work with youth like you do are to be commended. Programs such as this can change young lives for the better. Thanks for what you do.
Thank you very much for that Phammond. I do truely appreciate that. We love working with the kids, and we've both seen what it can do for a child's life.

First off thanks for shareing my fall with the world!! J/K But I do have to agree Rusty spurs is beyond lucky to have the 3 leaders that they have. I have never met 3 people as knowledgeable as our leaders, that take the time to share it with kids that are so younge! Most adults wouldn't "waist their time". I know that my girls think Jessie, Wayne and Christine walk on water and really do pay attention to what they have to say. They have both improved 10 fold just this year and are loving every min. of it!! Thanks you guys you are the best and all that you do dosen't go unnoticed!!
Hay, thanks for your comment too! The world loves seeing how you persevered against that small bit of adverity...AND how you were good natured thru the whole thing. THAT is why I posted it...the focus wasn't on the crash...but your wonderful attitude about the experience..
