Diabetes Ride May 16

Posted Monday, May 17, 2010, at 8:02 PM

Wayne and I and his sister Ida went on the Annual Diabetes Ride last Sunday.  It was a beautiful day, and a beautiful ride.  I have ridden that area several times during Endurance rides...and it was nice to just take our time and look around.  We met lots of people on the trail, and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

All of this, while making a difference in childrens lives.  We met a young girl that will be able to benefit by going to Diabetes Camp this summer.  She loves horses, but doesn't have one of her own.  She got a ride and her face was a sight to behold.  A very humbling experience.

Right when we got there, I took some photos, of course.  There were 380 riders.

Yes, Marylin, the weather was excellent. I sure wouldn't have asked for better. I hope to attend next year too!

It looks like it was a fun ride and lots of people showed for it. Nice also that the weather cooperated, no rain or wind

This was in the Eagle Foothills.

No, I believe the couple was from Boise area.

It was beautiful there. I have always loved riding that area. Everyone we saw was happy and laughing. It really made me feel good to be doing something good.

As always beautiful pictures. Where was this ride at? I never heard about the lady getting push off by her husband. Were they from Mtn Home?

I am interested in this Community, County, and the beautiful state of Idaho. Most of my photos will be in Idaho, but from time to time, they will be my vacations aay from Idaho. You'll see lots of my Children and Grand children, along with others in my family. Of course there will be horses and horse related things, and things I photo'd horseback.
