  • What a great dog Jess. I hope he is around for a long time. He sure does enjoy his work. He is cute too. Thanks for allowing us to share in the fun. Take care. Happy trails (if the wind would just stop).

Thanks GEL, and T, I appreciate the comments. Yes,Sam is a great dog.... I"m very happy with him. Macys (younger sis of Sam) is showing tons of potential also. She is called Macys because that is one of my favorite stores!

    I love Macys.

I knew that if we ever had another male dog, he would have to be called Dillards. It was supposed to be quite awhile. BUT, then, we found Dillards a few days ago. Actually, we had been seeing him around town for a couple weeks, ALL over town. Finally he showed up practically in our front yard, scared, starving ....

He was hiding in a drainage culvert....and I couldn't help myself. I laid in the culvert in the goat heads....and talked him into coming and visiting with me.

He followed us home, which at the time, was less than a block. He's been here ever since. He's still scared over alot of stuff.... Sam being one. And Sam is enjoying the manliness of that. Macys is in love.... with Dillards. And Scout has another dog to bully.

Dillards and Wayne aren't great friends....(I think Dillards had been smacked around by a man)...it's hard enough for him to let me pet him. He's as sweet as can be though. I don't think he'll make a working dog, ...I just don't think he can live thru the "orders". He'll think he's being yelled at.

We reported him, and have had no comments back... so he might be here for awhile, while gaining weight.

I will update on him later.

By the way, if you are missing a dog, and you can describe him to a 'T', we might talk. But, as I said, he's been abused, .... the talk might not be fun.
