I am interested in this Community, County, and the beautiful state of Idaho. Most of my photos will be in Idaho, but from time to time, they will be my vacations aay from Idaho. You'll see lots of my Children and Grand children, along with others in my family. Of course there will be horses and horse related things, and things I photo'd horseback.

Nobody knows? It is north of Mtn. Home, visible once you are out of town.
Jessie, I know I probably wrong but I know I have seen that area, is that the area just off highway 20 as you start into the mountains with the towers on it.
Well, I did say north...but let's say towards Boise. Sorry EE, my directions weren't great. I know you've seen it hundreds of times.
Please try again!
Jessie
NP on the direction Jessie, most of us get that wrong lol, going to Boise from here is Northwest, headed into the mountains from here is about north but does turn East. Am sure I have seen that picture more than once but just can't seem to focus just where it is at.
Just a little guess > Is it just before we dip down into Boise on the right side of the interstate? usually see antelope there in the winter
I took that picture coming into town on Simco Road ( I think that's what it's called)
Much closer to Mtn. Home Ms Marylin. Good guess though!
Another hint, is.... near Mtn. Home there are 2 of similar type 'monuments' by similar names.
It is a two word name, and first name is the same on both, with different second names.

If the picture was taken from Simco road then it has to be close to what they call cinder whatever.
You are right Joe! Cinder Cone. And there is a Cinder Butte.
Thanks for playing!
Jessie
Jessie couldn't remember Butte, haven't been out in that area much but did get very close one year when part of my job was to go out for a downed F-111 in the area. Drove alot of the area in a government vehicle with a crew looking for the crash site but never got close due to snow.
