  • Great Blog Marylyn. I've noticed the same things on Facebook and elsewhere. People seem to think that it's okay to call the president of the United States an ugly name and then are surprised when people get offended.

It makes me think that they are all talking to people that only think like them and they know longer have a filter over what they say before they say it.

I hope that you are okay. Your dog is very cute!

  • Times sure have changed. I was raised in the 50's & early 60's where children were seen and not heard. When they showed respect to their parents and to elders. We weren't allowed to talk back, unless we wanted to get slapped. We came home on time and if we didn't we didn't get put on restrictions, we were spanked and most the time that was with a belt.

Family matters were private, and if you let a family secret out, it was considered airing dirty laundry.

We didn't dare use vulgar language in front of an adult. We knew what the consequences for that action would be. Moms didn't use vulgar language in front of their children.

Now days it seems perfectly fine to use cuss words in front of anyone, to talk back, to let everyone in town know your family problems.

All Rodney Dangerfield wanted was respect. Seems there isn't much of it anymore.

MM have you ever considered using your real name when you leave a comment?

  • The problem that you are having Moral majority, in addition to a grandiose view that people should fear you, is that you seem to think one of our "values" is disrespecting the president of the United States.

  • Not being able to control ones self, is immaturity.

Possibly enrolling in a anger management class might help your issue.

I don't think reading these blogs are helping you get a handle on this problem.
