Now what Mr. Trump ?

Posted Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 10:49 AM

President Obama this morning released another Document of his Birth, surprising all the news media at the briefing this morning.

White House press assistants handed out a six-page stapled packet of photocopies showing the new and old birth certificates as well as the White House's legal correspondence with Hawaii's Department of Health.

"CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH"

Now what Mr. Trump ?  Will this satisfy your curiosity ?  Apparently not here's what he had to say when he heard about the Birth Certificate release this morning.

Mr. Trump.....

"Speaking at a press conference in New Hampshire, the potential presidential contender said that he's "proud" in light of the disclosure. He added, however, "it is rather amazing that all of the sudden" the document surfaces. He suggested it should be inspected to ensure its authenticity. "

OBAMA-BIRTH-CERTIFICATE-LONG-FORM

If this doesn't quiet Trump, I'm sure there will still be others out there who will still question it's Authenticity.

We need to concentrate on the problems facing our nation instead of looking for ways to drag down the President . We need to let go of our own agenda's and dislike for him  And get on with more important matters at hand

Get Over it People ! He is an American Citizen !

MsMarylin,

I am an American Citizen too, which gives me the RIGHT! to openly question why Obama was so determined to avoid providing this document until this moment in time???? and why would he spend so much money on attorneys to prevent it's being released????

So please feel free to "Get Over" me exercising MY rights as an American Citizen.

He is not some shady character standing on a street corner playing 3 card monte, he is the President of the United States of America and I expect him to act accordingly, which INCLUDES not playing games like this, if he had this document all along and there was no hanky panky involved ....WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG TO SIMPLY PRODUCE THE THING?????????? WHY THE LEGAL GAMES TO AVOID PRODUCING IT????????

Two facts we will obviously never know the answer to.

I applaud Kelly Everitt the Editor of the Mountain Home News for at least beginning to admit the flaws in this president that he initially so vigorously defended and supported..

"We agree that Obamacare is horribly flawed and does none of the things that the public wanted in health care reform, such as driving down or capping the skyrocketing costs of health care."

Now I can only HOPE you MsMarylin will consider Obama is not the great wonder he had so many convinced that he would be, and is nothing more than politics as usual in a VERY VERY corrupt political system.

I Would say this release was not needed for the reasons that have already started authenticity. We want to go over every school grade, interview every teacher, why that grade? we want his birth cerificate to see if he is born here we want to inspect it to see if its real? GIVE ME A BREAK.....no other president has endured this kind of GARBAGE........ YES I SAID GARBAGE..

I DONT THINK ANYONE CONSIDERED HIM A WONDER,more of a hope for change,I THINK HE FOUND OUT THAT OUR CONGRESS AND SENATE REALLY DONT WANT TO CHANGE,THEY JUST WANT TO KEEP RIPPING US OFF.

wHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG ??......EASY .......HE SHOULDNT HAVE HAD TO.......A product of our times that we dont want to turn loose.ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL I WONDER IF THE SAME TREATMENT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF HE WAS WHITE AND RAISED IN INDONISA,AND THERE ARE WHITE KENYANS.YOU KNOW WHATS NEXT???????? HE'LL BE A MUSLIM...AND SOMEONE WILL HAVE PROOF.........AND THE SHOW GOES ON.........WOULD BE A JOKE BUT IT'S NOT FUNNY........AND PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW WHY AMERICAN MINORITYS ARE MAD.........WE HAVE BEEN WATCHING A PUBLIC EXAMPLE THAT HAPPENS IN A LESS PUBLIC SETTING EVERYDAY.......YOU DONT SEE WHATS NOT HAPPENING TO YOU

I have a theory why he didn't produce his Live Birth Certificate until today.... He was really born female because he is to compassionate to be a man. HA !

JCW are you saying all those involved with his back ground check didn't do their jobs and they all need to be fired? Throw the BUMS out !!

Obama's health care plan needs some work. Don't need to throw it out and start over, just need to work on it some more.

Did ANYBODY out there listen to the REST of what Trump had to say this morning.........about China?, the oil?, fair trade and taxes, PROPERLY growing the economy? The guy is pretty sharp about trade, tariffs, cutting and spending.......

Obama said it was time to quit fooling around with this birth certificate thing and start concentrating on the difficult issues.........and he's right.

They should have hit the ground RUNNING on the economy......not burning up the first year on "Obamacare", and waiting until NOW to "start getting SERIOUS", as he said this morning.

They're already in "campaign mode", as we now surpass 14 trillion, four bucks a gallon, and rumblings of involvement in SYRIA now.

Actually....I don't know why Trump even bothered with the birth thing. Nobody on the right needs it to upset Obama in 2012. This administration's record should do that on its own.

Trump just needs to continue to be vocal on how to fix the economy...........none of the goons in D.C. seem to know, and a multi-billionaire could certainly give lessons in THAT classroom!

Trump had some BRILLIANT things to say about the economy this morning, but all the media kept repeating throughout the day was this "birth certificate" thing.........which means NOTHING these days,.....seeing as how we don't use the Constitution anymore anyway.

We just make up our own rules as we go along now.

..............the birth certificate and the Royal Wedding.......oh yeah.....THAT'S "top priority" this week, isn't it?

What you AREN'T hearing on the "lamestream media" this week though, is the quiet push from the left to squeeze "Immigration Reform (AMNESTY) through, in-between the cracks, but unlike Biden-----"Boenner's Boys" have NOT been sleeping, and they're right on top of it.

Trump needs to watch his back, though........he's rocking a boat they don't want rocked, and is starting to ask the tough economic questions they can't/don't want to answer. Trump's not a lawyer or fancy orator. He's an extremely successful businessman who KNOWS how to get it done and is making both sides look as economically stupid as they actually ARE.

He is clearly a threat to Washington, and he'd better watch his back, with THIS bunch.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Wed, Apr 27, 2011, at 3:33 PM

I watched Trump this morning until he got cut off for Obama to make his comment over his birth. According to the media no body can get the birth cert from Hawaii that was released today but according to them Obama called them and got it and then released it.

All Trump could say he was so proud of himself that he was the only one that got anything done, I don't believe he had a thing to do with getting it released. Obama is on the campaign trail as always and doesn't want that item getting in his way for relection, he could have done that 2 and 1/2 years ago but didn't. He says he is tried of this sillyness and needs to get other thing fixed, I would like to know when he is going to take the time out from campiagning to work on anything.

Back to Trump his idea is if we want more oil just go take it from Iran, Libya or anyplace else he wants to take it from. Can't do that and never could. Trump can rock the boat but thats about all he can do, he would be nothing but another spoiler if he runs for President and that would be like handing Obama another 4 years.

-- Posted by Eagle_eye on Wed, Apr 27, 2011, at 3:56 PM

If Bush hadn't been stopped early by the treehuggers on the left, we would't paying these oil extortion fees from the Arabs NOW.

They can "chant" Enron, oil subsidies and whatever else---but the hard-paved road runs right back to the largest oil reserves in the world, where we could be pumping from right now............and not for $112.00 a barrel either.

China is a large buyer of Libyan oil.....but notice how THEY just sat back while WE jumped into the fray.

We should have had some kind of pre-arrangement for getting rid of tyrants from oil-producing countries..........and THAT you can blame on Bush, although Obama has done no differently since HE's been in, Giving BILLIONS to Brazil hasn't helped our oil situation, nor has cutting back our oil imports----if ANYTHING it'll drive prices UP as supply & demand increases.

This "Ethanol" thing is INSANE! It ruins fuel systems, reduces gas mileage, and drives the price of corn products WAY UP!.

As fuel prices continue to rise for the big rigs....GUARANTEED..........it'll be passed on to US! These are STUPID, STUPID people running this country.

And STILL, we're not allowed to drill to help ourselves.

I wouldn't worry too much about a presidential run, Eagle_Eye........Trump's political support background is unlikely to stir the conservative base. He has a record of giving more money to DEMOCRAT candidates, than he has for Republicans---which in OUR ranks, spells "RINO".

Trump IS however, paving the way (whether he knows it or not) for a good conservative candidate in 2012----because he asks the hard questions and will take on anybody.........more importantly though.....he brings up a LOT of things we COULD be doing, and it tends to make voters fron EVERY direction, ask the question...."Yeah, why AREN'T we doing that??" And the more inept he makes this government look, the better for our side in 2012.

HOWSOEVER...........we can't just sit back & enjoy the show....it is VITAL that WE actually run a REPUBLICAN this time, and not another RINO like we did in 2008. With McCain "representing" us, Obama ran virtually un-opposed.

I don't think HE will have the support he had last time, either.........not everyone on HIS side is all that happy, especially with money starting to come out of THEIR pockets as well.

2012 is very, very "do-able." It is also vital that EVERY primary in this country be CLOSED, so the other side does NOT get the opportunity to try to "hand-select" who they're gonna run against in the fall.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Wed, Apr 27, 2011, at 5:36 PM

Oh for crying out loud. Trump is NO ONE to question anyone about anything ever for any reason. The man has the moral values of an alley cat on Viagra!

The birth certificate has been released so people should just be happy. They won't be, they'll find some reason to say it's faked or they'll find something else to complain about.

Fact of the matter is that if you like him he's okay by you, if you don't like him you'll complain until the cows come home. It happens with EVERY President.

I HAVE A QUESTION. ARE WE WILLING TO TRUST OUR COUNTRY TO BIG BUSINESS????????????????????????

I DONT WANT MY GRAN CHILDREN TO BE SLAVES TO BIG BUSINESS .THERE IS ENOUGH OF THAT ALREADY.DO we really think that we are going back to the boom days of 10 yrs ago???????T Those days were built on a false premise and that is why we are were we are today....Those days are gone,Why do we wish to return to something that we now know was to the countrys detriment.WE probally felt good but the future was being stole from us and we want to go back why?????????? I am being told all the time things have changed, have they or are we trying to bring them back.....this is a different world economy we cannot isolate ourselfes and prosper no country will trade with one that closes its society.....china found that out the hard way.Who are we willing to sacrifice to go back??????????? This is a different time we must move forward and the solutions have to fit a larger group of people, they must be viable to ensure a society that prospers.Do we want a society of the super rich and everyone else as long as you are not the bottom of the barrell. That kind of a society is doomed to failure just look at history.TRICKLE DOWN TRICKLE UP NEITHER WORKS .BOTHS BEEN TRIED SO NOW WHAT???

WE have solutions but were still fighting the ideologic battle. HOW about sitting down and leave that at the door and talk abou real solutions until that is done NO CONSERVATIVE ,NO LIBERAL,OR ANYBODY IN BETWEEN IS GOING TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS IT HAS GOT TO BE COUNTRY,COUNTRY,COUNTRY AND I DONT HEAR ANYONE SAYING THAT WITHOUT THEM ADDING WHO WOULD DO IT BEST...............IM BEGINNING TO THINK ANY OF US WOULD DO IT BETTER AT LEAST WE ARE LISTENING TO EACH OTHER. SEE YA

-- Posted by lamont on Wed, Apr 27, 2011, at 6:41 PM

I seriously doubt Mr Donald Trump "the Donald" will run for President. He likes attention, it helps with his business. Besides I'm sure he has a few skeleton's he won't want any one digging up.

His parents weren't born here, and maybe he wasn't born here ! His father is the one that started the Real Estate business, not "the Donald" and since he's been running it he has filed for bankruptcy.

I think the Republicans are going to have a hard time coming up with someone that can actually stand against Obama.... So far I haven't seen much !

It was the free enterpise system that BUILT this country.

We didn't start going into the hole until the GOVERNMENT started getting involved....and getting THEIR sticky hands into the tax collections---------------DEVIATING our money to purposes OTHER than which it was intended.

The first GOP debate is to take place May 5th in South Carolina and so far it looks like that debate might not take place.

Three have registered for the debate

Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty

Louisiana Governor Buddy Raemer

Mass Governor Mitt Romney

and not registered yet but possibly Ron Paul

Problem is no one has paid the filing fee for the debate and the main sponsor of the event (FOX NEWS) has extended the registration date to May 3rd

Here's a couple comments left from readers on the site where I got my info from

I know your not going to like them just remember I am only the messenger wanted you to see what others have to say besides lengthy comments left on this site

1. The GOP stinks and they know it. They are all scared to go on national TV and show the American people how totally ignorant they are. They have no candidate with any charisma who has a chance at beating Obama. They have no message of inspiration and hope except to cut taxes for the rich, destroy medicare, raise the social security retirement age to 70, lie about Global Warming, drill and destroy the enviroment, allow these illegal wars to continue and bankrupt our country, blame Obama for the 14 trillion national debt when they created it themselves, prevent investment in clean solar, wind power, geothermal, tidal energy as well as the electric car, and take money from the dirty oil and natural gas industry that is polluting and destroying our planet. Republicans are charlatans who are bought and paid for corporate special interest.

2. A "debate"? Even if all potential candidates attended, they would spend only a minority of the time discussing or exchanging their own policies or views, and a majority slinging mud at Obama. Despite the glaring fact that, except for Paul, not one of their potential candidates shines any light at all -- and are instead downright annoying and risible -- nor is it that the so-called Republican revolution is stuck in the mud and that many of the tea bagger Congress folks have been co-opted and turned to pimpdom by the same money-spewing lobby interests they proclaimed in their campaigns would be tossed aside, but there is not one vital issue they can talk about -- taxes, health care, budget, energy, etc. -- in which they are not complicit in the recent or current problems. The Repulican'ts and their prez candidates either helped to cause the storm, or did nothing when the storm was gathering, or acted to keep others from acting, or misrepresented their own responsibilities, or were and remain intellectually and personally unqualified, or are just incompetent. How can they debate each other, and attempt to drag down Obama, when their own records ranget from mixed to ludicrous. Trump for President??? Any Republican't with a conscience should hide in shame if Trump (or Bachmann, or Ryan) is the best they can offer the United States. The party is past half dead if the quality of presidents or candidates for the last 35 years is the best front man the shadow gang can deliver.

3. The regressive Republican Party is obstructionist, mean-spirited, thuggish, religiously fanatical, scientifically ignorant, corrupt, hypocritical, xenophobic, racist, sexist, homophobic, evolution and global warming denying, oily, Medicare and Social Security slashing, union busting, authoritarian, selfish, greedy, lacking compassion, warmongering, and otherwise dangerous.

NEVER vote for Republicans.

Your very welcome

AND what I posted isn't any more important then what you and Zook post on here. I just wanted you guys to see the other side of the coin, so you know not every one believes what you guys have to say.....

What do you think about those Republicans not stepping up to the plate yet for the first 2012 debate?

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 10:33 AM

When was the last time we were 14 Trillion in the hole under a GOP leadership?

-- Posted by bazookaman on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 10:57 AM

And the Dems have done this ALL BY THEMSELVES, MsM..........total control= Oval Office and BOTH Houses over the last two years

BOTH houses over the last four.

All the fingerpointing in the world doesn't change that.

the Dems have ALSO had control of the congress for MOST of the 20th century.

Yeah.....they "inherited"..........but oh baby, did they ever MULTIPLY it....the GOP could do NOTHING.....they haven't had any voting power at ALL until now............and STILL only have one House.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 11:02 AM

Since Inaugeration Day...........Obama's had the only shovel in the sandbox, and he's dug THIS hole all by himself.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 11:04 AM

I knew you guys would love that post..... I didn't agree with everything those people said, I was just delivering the message. lol !

Neither one of you have answered my question all you did was rant !

I repeat my question

What do you think about those Republicans not stepping up to the plate yet for the first 2012 debate?

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 11:10 AM

MsMarylin:

I am saddened to see your answer listed above. I would never call an entire organization such names. You have basically done what the Republicans have been accused of-being inflexible.

I am a conservative and vote my concience each election. I am compassionate, educated, and a good citizen.

You are entitled to your opinion on the everyday political matters. But we are also entitled to ours.

I don't think I am dangerous nor do I think that I am a thug. Painting the tar brush on all of us kinda makes you the phobic one.

The crux of the matter is that the fingers of blame have been pointing each election year for decades. Why give up a cushy job and the alcolades that go with it if no one holds you accountable?

There are people in this world who want benefit financially and gain power through any means possible. It doesn't matter what party they belong too, we have dishonest people in our government and will continue to do so until we vote them out.

While I appreciate your right to express your opinion, I am saddened that you think that I am a thug or a phobe of some kind.

We cannot continue to get in each other's faces and say that the other side is at fault. What is wrong in this country is that we have breached the civility that we were taught.

-- Posted by KH Gal on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 11:15 AM

Sorry, I spelled acolades wrong.

-- Posted by KH Gal on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 11:16 AM

I think the Republican candidates are watching each other cautiously before everybody just "jumps in there".

Nobody I really like has actually "declared" yet, but I think it's coming. There's no real hurry yet, we don't vote until next year.

Doesn't really affect me too much anyway, as I don't plan to support ANY incumbent at ANY level anyway.

I'm not satisfied with ANYTHING in this country today, to "RE-elect" more of the same.

MY party doesn't "OWN" me...............I do!

-- Posted by bazookaman on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 11:25 AM

KH Gal You need to go back and re-read my post. Those weren't my comments, I would never call any one those names that were being said.... I even mentioned that I didn't agree to all those comments.

I am an independent and I was only showing the other side of the coin. What other people were saying as it tends to be one sided on the blogs here.....And that's understandably as Idaho is a

Red State....

zook I don't think the South Carolina debate is a really big event but I guess it does get the ball rolling. And thanks for giving me your opinion about the first debate coming up.

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 11:37 AM

Homer I would only vote for Obama if I felt he was the best choice we had. I will follow the debates closely and see who in my mind will be my front runner. Believe it or not I have voted for Republicans in the past.

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 11:39 AM

Sorry, My Bad.

But Why repeat it? did it prove anything?

it just keeps the pot boiling and has no merit in a honest debate

Accolades. That was really bothering me.

-- Posted by KH Gal on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 11:44 AM

Homer sorry forgot to answer your question

Now, how about answering the questions asked of you? Specifically, what's Obama going to run on? And my personal favorite: Do you feel America is better off today than they were 3 years ago?

1. Obama will run on exactly the same thing he ran on before elected. His intelligence, charm, and compassion.

2. No we are not better off today, but that's not solely Obama's fault. I personally started to feel the affect of the economy collapsing in Oct 2008 when my online business started to fall and my Husband was laid off from his part time Job AND that was before Obama.

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 11:46 AM

KH Gal I did it because it's always one sided here, and I wanted those who read here, see what others have to say that aren't Republicans. I read just about everything, I have a very open mind. I have been a book worm since I was a kid, I can never get enough of reading, and I love a good debate ! :)

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 11:49 AM

We are bombarded with all those petty descriptions of us in the media everyday. Their venue is pretty limited.

Why are we mean-spirited for having our say about issues and yet, the real name calling comes from the other side?

having a PH.d does not mean that you possess common sense or makes you a nice person.

I wonder how everyone would feel if we blindfolded- several individuals and had them listen to a debate amongst the dems and the republicans with their voices disguised. Could we guess which one made the most sense??

We have to STOP, feeding the frenzied masses with inflammatory stuff (both sides) and roll up our shirt sleeves and get to work.

By the way, Mr. President wants the F-Bombs to stop in the communications field. I wonder what he is going to do about Biden?

Homer I dug a little farther back and I see in 2007 Republicans were in the lead for seats in congress and 2007 -2009 they were even except for 1 independent holding a seat. Republicans must of been voting on and passing some of those years of budget's... Democrats control congress NOW 2009-2013 not before 2009

I copied and pasted did my research lol !

On November 1, 1999, Smith announced his return to the Republican party, making the division once more 55 Republicans and 45 Democrats. Following the death of Senator Paul Coverdell (R-GA) on July 18, 2000, the balance shifted again, to 54 Republicans and 46 Democrats, when the governor appointed Zell Miller, a Democrat, to fill the vacancy.

Senator Thomas A. Daschle served as majority leader at that time. Beginning on January 20, 2001, Republican Vice President Richard Cheney held the deciding vote, giving the majority to the Republicans. Senator Trent Lott resumed his position as majority leader on that date. On May 24, 2001, Senator James Jeffords of Vermont announced his switch from Republican to Independent status, effective June 6, 2001. Jeffords announced that he would caucus with the Democrats, giving the Democrats a one-seat advantage, changing control of the Senate from the Republicans back to the Democrats. Senator Thomas A. Daschle again became majority leader on June 6, 2001. Senator Paul D. Wellstone (D-MN) died on October 25, 2002, and Independent Dean Barkley was appointed to fill the vacancy. The November 5, 2002 election brought to office elected Senator James Talent (R-MO), replacing appointed Senator Jean Carnahan (D-MO), shifting balance once again to the Republicans -- but no reorganization was completed at that time since the Senate was out of session.

I'm not blaming Bush for anything at least not today lol ! Heck I voted for both the Bush's. I was only showing you that the Democrats weren't controlling congress back in 2007 like you said they were. Republicans had control from 2005-2007 and then from 2007-2009 they were even in seats except for 1 independent. You cannot blame the Democrats only for voting and passing on budgets during that time frame. Not when the Majority ruled

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 1:59 PM

If its not one sided here then its a little lopsided and you must have blinders on if you can't see the forest through the trees....

How many Demos do you see consistently leaving comments?

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 2:02 PM

Explain it to me Homer

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 2:04 PM

The HOUSE has the main clutch on the purse-strings---------------when you CONTROL the House, you control the budget.

The Dems controlled BOTH houses in 2008.

From 2009 through 2010, the Dems controlled EVERYTHING. All THREE branches!

Today, they still control TWO of the THREE.

With NO Republican voting majority for the last four years........this constant "look what we inherited" just doesn't fly anymore.

OFFICIALLY..........since Obama took office.....the Democrats have had a completely open field...........they could pass whatever they wanted to, and the "right" could do nothing more than grumble about it.

In the great halls and chambers of D.C.......the Dems have had every opportunity to pass whatever they wanted UN-OPPOSED!

COMPLETE CONTROL.........with the PRESIDENTIAL signature pen at their absolute disposal.......and they still have been a complete failure---they've fought between themselves, and STILL blame the GOP for it.

They've quadrupled the debt and it's STILL "Bush's fault!"

Oppose ANY policy and you're a RACIST.

Everything is "racial" now......if you oppose terrorists, or illegals, or Saudi's enroute to Mountain Home, you're a RACIST......a mean-spirited NAZI.......

You aren't ALLOWED to dislike ANYTHING anymore....because it will surely OFFEND somebody!

It's ok though.....this is gonna get settled.

I think I am better off than I would have been had anyone other than President Obama been elected and I will vote for him again come 2012.

-- Posted by julyGirl on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 3:23 PM

Homer I seriously don't understand and still kind of don't

So in 2008 there was a Republican President and 49 Republicans in seats and 49 Democrats in seats so they are even am I right so far? Then they count Lieberman as an independent Democrat moving the democrats up to 50 seats? Are you still with me? lol ! Ok so that means the demos control congress right? Then they vote and they all voted and passed a budget right? So who's fault was it that they passed that budget?

110th Congress (2007-2009)

Majority Party: Democrat (49 seats)

Minority Party: Republican (49 seats)

Other Parties: 1Independent; 1 Independent Democrat

Total Seats: 100

Note:Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut was reelected in 2006 as an independent candidate, and became an Independent Democrat

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 3:58 PM

Ok I still don't understand lol !

Your saying there was no voting on a budget.

No Republicans worked on a budget because the Demos were the Majority and they got to write the budget and pass it without no help from the Republicans and they weren't allowed to vote on the budget ?? Do I have it now?? AND the Republican President couldn't do anything to stop what the Demo's wanted? The President doesn't have any power ?? It was all in Pelosi and Reid's hands ? So if the President doesn't have any power that means Obama isn't running the country congress is right??

Do I have it all wrong or partly right ? lol !

I know about the fiscal year hubby was civil service for 30 yrs

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 4:34 PM

I don't mean to be stubborn, just don't have a complete understanding of how passing a budget works.

I am aware that politicians have their pet projects, even Boehner has his,

I'm just not understanding why because the dems controlled congress in 2008, Bush's vote didn't make the playing field even or one more ahead of the Democrats votes...??

I think both sides are guilty of the mess our country is in today.

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 6:33 PM

Just fess up, Homer............it's all Bush's fault, and 10 years from now if China hasn't OWNED us by then, it'll STILL be Bush's fault.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 7:45 PM

BOTH SIDES.....YES.......PRESIDENT COULD HAVE VETOED.....DIDN'T.......YOU MADE YOUR POINT MS.M......THANKYOU.......the show goes on,it is all about money and the way to make more.Make it at someones exspense as long as im ok.There are deeper questions to be answered but we would rather duck.THE INTENT IS CLEAR ,AND WHEN YOU ONLY SEE ONE WAY YOU WONT POSSIBLY SEE ANYTHING ELSE.TO ARGUE IS A WASTE OF TIME.THIS PRESIDENT WORKED WITH WHAT HE HAD,AND IT WASNT MUCH.

-- Posted by lamont on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 7:52 PM

Zook you seem to be trying to take the discussion off topic, That's all there is, no book report?

wait for my next blog, I am sure you will have plenty to say..:)

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 8:13 PM

Homer a light bulb came on with the help of my husband, and I now feel I know a little more about how the budget comes about and what happened with it in 2008. Thanks for being patience with me while I went through my process of trying to understand.... I am never to old to learn something new.... I think my eyes need to taken out and given a rest, after all the reading I did today. lol !

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 9:08 PM

No book report. None needed really......it's all a simple matter of looking up things that have happened under different watches.

Congressional control is one of the most commonly OVERLOOKED factors in politics.

Most people concentrate strictly on whoever the president is, because that's where 95% of the media light shines. After awhile, people get to thinking he's some kind of "KING" and does all the GOOD or all the BAD by himself.

But the true is.......it is the CONGRESS that does MOST of the "under-the-covers" damage........

........why is why you hear me repeat so often that we need to FIRE THEM ALL.

As Lamont and I were discussing one time, replacing the president without getting rid of these career politicians------------is just like installing a brand new shiny oil filter on your engine, but not draining the five quarts of dirty oil that's still in that crankcase-------and somehow expect the engine to run better!

Doesn't happen.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Thu, Apr 28, 2011, at 9:25 PM

I see on the news this morning the last time the Government took in more money than it spend was 2008. So a small clue maybe is under who's watch has the spending got so out of hand and no stopping it at hand. So now that the shuttle is delayed maybe Obama can get back to Washington and get with Congress and at least make an attempt at fixing the spending and the ecomony.

-- Posted by Eagle_eye on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 11:29 AM

Involvement in a couple wars takes money. Oh well if we get a new President we can start picking him/her apart 2 months after in office, just like we did to Obama.

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 11:49 AM

I'm not sticking up for Obama per se....but keep in mind, everybody, that NO president can spend a dime without congressional approval (except for Libya of course (where I suppose we got the money from the U.N. & the Arab league).

Under the Constitution (and I ralize that's an "offensive" word for some), a president has to get approval from CONGRESS before he can spend.

The last two years of "BUSH's War", his DEMOCRAT-controlled Congress had to FUND it for him-----(so they have THEIR fingers in this too).

But you really can't hold ANYBODY to blame for all this crap except your fellow Americans. EVERY time someone is RE-elected............the message from the voters is that-----------"You're doing exactly what we sent you to do........PLEASE DO IT SOME MORE!"

Don't bother thinking for yourselves........

Listen to your PARTY

THEY know what's best

Be obedient little children---just keep your mouths shut and vote how you're told

And while you're at it, take one of those "Rosetta Stone" language courses in Chinese.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 1:12 PM

Of coarse Obama has spent more and its easy to figure out why.

Why did we get into Afghanistan and Iraq?

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 1:12 PM

No, it's NOT easy to figure out why...........this arab war has gone on since 2003. Bush not only had the first FIVE years of it on his watch......but the CLEANUP and rebuild at the WTC AND the Pentagon from 9/11 on his watch as well........not to mention the hurricane in New Orleans.

Obama did NOT have to deal with the initial attack on New York. He has only had TWO years of the war, and even with the oil spill tossed in, there is NO WAY he should have come CLOSE to outspending Bush.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 1:24 PM

It's a good thing for the "bad guys" 9/11 didn't happen on Reagan's watch............"Uncle Ronnie" was not "U.N" obedient or politically correct!

-- Posted by bazookaman on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 1:29 PM

Of coarse everything is Obama's fault.... Yup !

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 1:47 PM

No MsM...........continually blaming one person for EVERYTHING is a LIBERAL trait.

Obama's watch began on January 20th, 2009.

The day he was sworn-in, it ain't "Bush's fault" anymore. He knew the situation when he CAMPAIGNED for that job...........he knew what HIS Congress' numbers were when he raised his right hand.

He "inherited" around three trillion...........the last ELEVEN isn't Bush's, no matter how deeply the libs want it to be.

THIS government MsM...........is like a USED CAR. You look it over first before you buy it, because once the title changes hands.....it's YOURS.

"Look what WE INHERITED"................These dorks knew the figures when the campaign STARTED!

THEY SHOULD................THEY HELPED CREATE IT!!

But that didn't matter to "Mr Charisma".......he was gonna FIX everything....he was gonna CHANGE everything.

The majority BOUGHT it.

He took over in 2009, with EVERY "face card in the DECK.

NO POSSIBLE INTERFERENCE from those EVIL MEAN-SPIRITED REPUBLICANS.....because for the first two years, THEY haven't had the votes to do JACK!!

MsMarylin.........stay with me here........this isn't difficult at all...........

The Dems have had 2/3 of the power during Bush's last two years........

From DAY ONE of Obama's tenure...........this has been an ALL DEMOCRAT SHOW!, complete with closed doors, bribes, kickbacks, bailouts, mandates and more taxes...............

The Republicans have been power-less and VOTE-LESS to stop ANYTHING!!

NO.........this isn't Obama's fault all by himself.................this is the fault of the ENTIRE OBAMA ADMINSTRATION..........I don't know how you could conceivably blame it on the side that HAS NO SAY anymore! (well, they have a little now, but not enough to move anything).

The debt has been QUADRUPLED, we've alienated longtime allies and America is fast becoming the "Rodney Dangerfield" of this planet.

Taxes are going through the roof, along with gasoline...........home values are dropping like a rock in quicksand, and the government is sticking its nose into EVERYTHING it can.

Marylin..........this is NOT "Bush's fault anymore, no matter how bad you might want it to be.

Your "hero" has to "man-up" and take the heat like those who have gone before.........if he DIDN'T know what this job entailed, he should never have RAN for it, or allowed himself to get PUSHED into it (which I think is actually CLOSER to what happened).

For all his faults, even BUSH never had half this country ready to "rock n roll" on D.C. I've never in my life seen the citizens this angry.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 5:12 PM

You know...........the LAST time there was a "tea party" in this country, the BRITISH didn't take it seriously either!

-- Posted by bazookaman on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 5:19 PM

tAXES ARE THE LOWEST SINCE WW2......BUSH DID NOT PAY FOR HIS WARS HE PUT THEM ON THE NATIONAL DEBT.HE LEFT OFFICE BEFORE WALL STREET CALLAPSED.

NOW the solutions implemented to solve the problems may not have been what the GOP would have done.but that doesnt make them all wrong.some would have let GM fail the decision was made not to,and it has paid off.besides the GM deal had a lot to do with NATIONAL SECURITY.and with maintaining jobs.THE COST IN MONEY WEIGHED AGAINST THE COST OF HUMAN LIFE I SAY SPEND THE MONEY but thats me.The housing market took it lumps because of the GRAHM SPEIGEL ACT.....this allowed banks and lending institutions to package loans and sell them to the highest bidder when most were worthless.this is what killed your housing values that were overpriced in the beginning, and then to be able to borrow ABOVE what the value was against the property was a desaster waiting to happen.i cant tell you the offers i had to do that, thankgod im smarter than that. There are people who did it and they are to blame also, they inflated the market.I LOST A LOT OF MONEY IN EQUITY,because now they are undervaluing and so are you zook and everyone else.Even if the house is paid off you are losing money.

I hope when we talk about closed doors bribes, payoffs, kickbacks etc that we are including the GOP in that,no one side has a monoply on it.The GOP stopped a lot dont fool yourself, and some things they stoped they did on principle not the soundness of the country, and both sides do that also.

HALF the country was mad, that was the half that did not share in the good times,in short if everthing was great in your world you loved BUSH if it wasnt you could hate him it's that simple. THE NATION GOT CONNED BY WALL STREET AND THATS FOR REAL........AND IT DIDNT STOP ON OUR SHORES

-- Posted by lamont on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 6:32 PM

Here's a link for you guys, I don't have time to get into this right now, maybe tomorrow.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_de...

Lamont you made a lot of sense and you spoke of reality not fantasy land like you know who.......

There would of been thousands and thousands out of work if we didn't bail out GM and stop the banks from collapsing and we would be in a depression.

I don't know about your taxes zook but our taxes have gone down since Obama came into office. You must be in a higher tax bracket then we are and I guess that's why your winning.

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 7:14 PM

There's your book report.

-- Posted by MrMister on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 7:37 PM

My property taxes have gone UP........and almost everything we buy is being taxed more, and just wait till you see your groceries take a hike as this "ethanol crap" takes more and more effect.

Might have been thousands out of work at GM, but there are MILLIONS out of work now....and the unemployment rate that was gonna "drop below 8%" is now nearly 10, and 14 to 20 in some states.

Oh yeah, there've been shady deals on both sides over the years Lamont..........but SOME of the legislation in the past couple of years....the GOP didn't even get INCLUDED in.

And again...........our side HAS been in the process of getting RID of ours at every primary opportunity, so we're trying to do something about that.

I guess things weren't "great" in MY world, because I darned sure DIDN'T like Bush. I don't like Obama either..........so like I've been saying, in 2012, they ALL got to go!

I'm a little confused though, Bro.....when exactly WERE those "good times" you mentioned?

If a guy was a "welfare pro", living off the sweat of the working man, I suppose THOSE are "good times."

What could the GOP have stopped? They didn't have the votes.

If there was anything Obama COULDN'T get passed, it would have been due to in-fighting and squabbling among among his own party. The Repubs haven't had the numbers to stop anything.

Are we saying that he doesn't have everybody in his OWN party behind him?.......that wold be the ONLY way the GOP could win anything.

And that still holds today. The House can pass anything it wants now, but they'll never get anything past Reid & the Senate, and if they DID, the President can still VETO anything that hits his desk. Any way you slice it, the left is still calling the shots, and it is THEY who will have to answer to the voters if things don't straighten out.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 10:48 PM

Just speculation now...........but you know, Bush had barely taken office when 9/11 happened.

What do you suppose a new kid with 143 days of Senate experience would have done, had they hit the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, right after HE took office?

We'll never know......(I HOPE we'll never know)......but I just thought I'd put that question out, since this has all been "Bush's War" & economy for so long.

GRANTED..........BUSH didn't handle it right because he has no spine.

What do any of you think OBAMA would have done if this had suddenly dropped in HIS lap?

-- Posted by bazookaman on Fri, Apr 29, 2011, at 10:59 PM

Idaho's state tax is still at 6% Gas & food has gone up but I'm not seeing taxes going up.

In 2008 we had the car company dilemma which was a global financial fall out that not only affected us but also affect European and Asian Auto manufactures

Dec 2008 Bush agreed to an emergency bailout of $17.4 billion to be distributed by the next administration in January and February of 2009 hoping this would help the US car company's from bankruptcy, however because of poor money management Chrysler & GM filed for chapter 11 in May 09

If we didn't bail the banks out in 2009 the us credit system would of completely shut down and we would of been in a depression now. Which I might add the banks that got that money have all almost paid it back.

Then there's the 2 war's that Bush got us into and they are still costing us money...

We had a lot going on since Obama has taken office that has caused the National Debt to rise.

Zook I don't think Obama would of handled 911 any differently then Bush did. I don't think he would of done less for our country and I don't think he would of done more....

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Sat, Apr 30, 2011, at 9:48 AM

Homer your property taxes went up because of the school levy and now their wanting to continue it longer

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Sat, Apr 30, 2011, at 9:50 AM

You know what your implying???? You are saying that he should have been able to reverse the market with the wave of a hand and that the debt from the wars would go away and that the housing callapse would not have happened, Well all of that was well on its way when he got elected. Now the gm deal saved not thousands but estimate was at least a million jobs,GM like all major manufatures has a tail and GM and fords are huge.also you didnt mention the National security ISSUE.PRICES ON FOOD HAS ALREADY RISEN AND HAS BEEN RISING FOR SOME TIME AND THAT IS NOT ALL ABOUT ETHENOL.Ethanol has been on the market before this president. I am beginning to get the feeling that rather than look at the history of events we are just going to blame Him for everything rather than when a policy was instituted.Example was it not SEC PAULSON THAT PUSHED THROUGH TARP????????????? THE GOP DECIDED THAT IT WAS GOING TO OPPOSE THIS MAN FROM DAY ONE AND THEY DID.When you agree on something and then when he says thats good you turn and disagree WHAT is that?????????NOW I hear you scream ZOOK but this is not all on him no more than it was all on BUSH.But to incinuate that he should have been able to change things that were put in place and the ball rolling in nothing flat is really a bit much.

The good times were for those who rode the market, lied there way through the housing bills and cheated the american public.Dont blame him for that.CK out what I said about grahm speigell, and while your at it look at when ethenaol was first pushed .YOUR MARKET VALUE ON YOUR HOUSE IS LOCAL/STATE.THE BANK DEALS INTREST AND SECURITY. YOU WANT TO SCREAM, SCREAM AT THEM.AND after what i told you I DID WITH MY TRUCK i would say the locals are ripping us off.

I AM GLAD YOU TALKED ABOUT PROFESSIONAL WELFARE.....THAT IS A LOCAL PROBLEM .......PEOPLE NOT DOING THERE JOBS AND NO WAY OF TRACKING STATE TO STATE........PUT THE RESPONSIBILITY WERE IT BELONGS.TALK TO BUTCH(r)LETS GET PAST THE BLAME GAME.So you dont like him and I didnt like REAGAN but he was still my PRESIDENT.wHY CANT THE GOP get to that point??? there feelings are exhibited in the cartoons that are e mailed and for some reason that is ok .WHY???????? HATE?? DO YOU REALLY THINK THE GOP IS THE ONLY ONES WHO HAVE THE COUNTRYS BEST INTEREST AT HEART?????

-- Posted by lamont on Sat, Apr 30, 2011, at 9:55 AM

America is spinning the around the drain and this is the crap we worry about, this and the Royal wedding what a WASTE of time and money...

-- Posted by zombie on Sat, Apr 30, 2011, at 10:28 AM

Homer

There's no quick fix for the rising gas prices with whats going on in the middle east. The Justice Department is trying to root out cases of fraud or manipulation in the oil market.

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Sat, Apr 30, 2011, at 11:17 AM

One more thing Obama said today (Saturday) that oil companies are profiting from rising gasoline prices and urged Congress once again to end $4 billion a year in oil and gas company tax breaks.

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Sat, Apr 30, 2011, at 11:24 AM

And who might those investigators be? State ?

I personally would not jump right back in and open up our shores for more drilling because Gas Prices have risen.

Here's why ...... Say I have a son who works in the Oil industry and he had been working on that oil rig in the gulf that exploded. Before he goes back to work and before any more oil rigs are placed in Atlantic or Pacific Oceans I would want to know that every safety precaution had been checked out over and over again. And every kind of safety net was put in place. I don't want us to be in such a big hurry to get back to oil drilling and jeopardize lives for the sake of saving us Dollars. Once a life is gone there is no getting back.... And look what the oil disasters have caused, not only human lives, but birds, the sea floor and our environment

Did you know that the length of coastline affected by the gulf oil spill was equivalent to the length of 5 Californias?

Or that the spill was nearly twenty times the size of the the 1989 Exxon Valdez spill?

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Sat, Apr 30, 2011, at 12:30 PM

Yup your showing your a Republican. Got that no compassion for others only your own agenda. Can't understand that people don't think like you.

Did you know the reason the Republicans have been telling lies, since 2008 is because they lost a lot of party members .........and they are trying to raise the numbers. They will do whatever it takes !! lol !

Like they said there were closed doors when writing Obama Care HA HA In fact they weren't shut out they helped write some of that into law....

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Sat, Apr 30, 2011, at 1:00 PM

YES HOMMER IT IT WAS BUT IT HAD LOOP HOLES IN IT AND I STATED THAT AND I DIDNT SAY WHO SIGNED IT BECAUSE I DONT CARE WHO SIGNED IT. IT TURNED THE FOX LOOSE IN THE HEN HOUSE AND THAT WAS THE POINT.

I am past the blame game. what happened happened and I dont care much who did it I want it stoped period.I did my research and almost all research and economist state what i said I DID NOT JERK IT OUT OF THIN AIR

SEE YA........

-- Posted by lamont on Sat, Apr 30, 2011, at 2:23 PM

Your right Homer you have said before your an independent........ I apologize for thinking you could possibly be a Republican hmmmmmmm you better be careful I think you teetering on that line of crossing over and I' ain't talking about spirits lol !

I'm an independent but my thinking is a lot different then yours....

I'm off to see the wizard at Sunset :)

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Sat, Apr 30, 2011, at 5:48 PM

Lamont...I didn;t say Obama was the sole cause of what's been going on the last couple of years.............I said the whole ADMINISTRATION.

The only time they've shown any SERIOUS interest of reaching across the aisle....was the result of the mid-terms.............they almost HAVE to now!

MsM..........I cannot believe you would accuse the GOP of trying to round up more voters........when it is YOUR TEAM that registers DEAD people, ACORN has been caught in voter fraud.........and it is YOUR HEROES who want to LEGALIZE nearly 15 MILLION LAWBREAKERS, so they TOO can vote your way, after they've been taught enough English to fill in the circles!

What is more CHEATING, TREASONOUS and LOWER than THAT??

-- Posted by bazookaman on Sat, Apr 30, 2011, at 6:57 PM

Well I did and its true. You know as well as I do that their numbers are down and they have been trying to discredit Obama since he was first in Office. They are trying to build their party back up with lies and more lies !!

Show me where your getting your information that "MY HEROS" want to legalize nearly 15 million Lawbreakers. Show me something truthful, not something the Repubs have put out there to once again discredit Obama and the Democrats ! And then tell me why they want to legalize these law breakers and don't tell me for their votes !

And I don't want to hear it from your Darling Glen Beck the almighty.

Oh an "MY TEAM" I beg to differ I don't have a TEAM.... I'm not a TEAM player !

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Sat, Apr 30, 2011, at 7:21 PM

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?.............the Dems have been pushing for "AMNESTY" since the BEGINNING.

WHY do you think HOLDER is suing Arizona?

WHY do you think Obama appointed NAPOLITANO to head Homeland Security?

Oh yes, yes, yes........I know, they call it "immigration reform" now. They've made a commitment over the past two years to change EVERY phrase they can think of, to "sound like something else.

It's AMNESTY MsMarylin.............AMNESTY......your team (and it IS "your team"-----you can SEE that in your writings and fierce devotion to this administration.

And it IS about the votes!

You think AL GORE wouldn't have liked to have had ACORN working for HIM during that "hanging chad" squeaker down in Florida?

You remember Al Gore...........the one who got all of those overseas military absentee votes DISENFRANCHISED!

Yes, folks, there HAVE been crooked dealings on BOTH sides, but the GOP has never stooped to the levels of the left..........getting votes DISQUALIFIED from the same bunch of uniformed folks they would later stick GAYS in with.

When did ANY GOP congress SHUT the other side COMPLETELY OUT?

Show me a Republican MANDATE someplace.

Show me a Republican TAKEOVER someplace.

"Vote early and vote OFTEN" has never been a creed from OUR side of the fence!

PS............I don't quote Beck. The guy is a liberal! ANOTHER one with no spine.

Let's see Mr Speaker of the house has a mandate on the National Debt, Eric Cantor Obama's Health Care Bill.

Republican take over in the Senate last Nov.

That's a Republican lie that they were shut out. Not True !

ACORN Here's what I found about the 2008 election

Throughout the election season, supporters of Republican candidates portrayed ACORN's submission of invalid voter registration applications as widespread vote fraud. In October 2008, the campaign for Republican presidential candidate John McCain released a Web-based advertisement claiming ACORN was responsible for "massive voter fraud," a point that Sen. McCain repeated in the final presidential debate. Factcheck.org called this claim "breathtakingly inaccurate," but acknowledged that ACORN had problems with phony registrations. The ads also claimed that home loan programs ACORN promoted were partly responsible for the sub-prime mortgage crisis. Newsweek and Factcheck.org also found these claims to be exaggerated and inaccurate.

STATEMENT BY PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH

May 1, 2011 Earlier this evening, President Obama called to inform me that American forces killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of the al Qaeda network that attacked America on September 11, 2001. I congratulated him and the men and women of our military... and intelligence communities who devoted their lives to this mission. They have our everlasting gratitude. This momentous achievement marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001. The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done.See More

A REAL president would have settled this whole thing inside of a week..........and the sands of the camel jockeys would be "glowing glass."

And the rest of the world's tyrants would have been put on IMMEDIATE NOTICE, that we aren't putting UP with this crap anymore.

I told my wife last night, as the President was just getting into his speech.............."Watch him turn this into a "look what I did---I called THIS guy----and I approved that action----etc. It;s the guys out there DOING it, who should get all of the credit. You just KNEW this would be some sort of "photo-op"......aspecially with the approval nembers where they are.

Not that BUSH would have done it any differently.....Obama's just being a typical politician. I hate bureaucrats.......regardless of party.

The CIA's been AFTER Bin Laden for several years.........they finally got a lead, and we have FINALLY killed him. It happened on Obama's watch and he gets the credit. Fine, wonderful, marvelous............now let's pack up and get OUT of yet ANOTHER war we have never the fortitude to win.

Lamont, we have needed to BRING OUR GUYS HOME when Bush first went into IRAQ.

We had already fought ONE "Vietnam", but were obviously too stupid in D.C. to recognize ANOTHER multi-year fiasco when we saw it.

There's no glory in this..............Ok, we killed Bin Laden..............

How many of OUR troops have we now EXPENDED doing it? And once AGAIN, we've got young veterans missing arms, legs, they're all over the television commercials........because of ORDINANCE we REFUSE TO DROP...........

"Boots on the ground baby......boots on the ground!"

Easy for Congress and other civilians to say............it's not THEIR BOOTS!

What has been the COST of getting ONE PARTICULAR TERRORIST?

Oh yeah, we've gotten a few more........but the ones in GITMO don't count..........some of THEM have already been turned loose...........Holder wants to afford that "#2 raghead all the comforts of a civilian trial.

We've done all this "liberation" without even a lousy gallon of oil to help "compensate" OUR losses.

Oh yes......we have certainly been helping out some GRATEFUL people, who SELL to us at $112 a barrel now............and now we fund BRAZIL to drill.

Lamont.....if by some miracle we ever DO decide to get our noses out of everyone else's problems..........and we actually DID bring our troops home.............what do you think we should DO with them?

I have ALWAYS advocated reeling in all of our troops from EVERY overseas station, and have them guarding OUR borders.

What what be YOUR move, if it was within your power?

hahahahahahaha Zook you are so funny. I knew when I woke up this morning that you would not like the fact that Bin Laden was killed under Obama's watch....

I knew you would try to say that Obama is taking all the credit......

So typical of you and all a long you have been saying things like::

...."this is NOT "Bush's fault anymore, no matter how bad you might want it to be."

But now that Bin Laden has been killed it's ok to give Bush credit.....

We all know that there were things that started up before Bush left Office including the Nation Dept and it continued on when Obama took office.

Under Bush's watch, he got the ball rolling trying to find Bin Laden. Both Presidents worked on this and finally he was killed, and it just happened to be under Obama's watch....

What is most important without bickering is the fact that OSAMA BIN LADEN has been killed.

"Justice has been done."

Bush & Obama both worked to make this happen !

YES THEY SHOULD COME HOME......BUT THEY WONT.......WE WILL START TALKING ABOUT THE STABILIZATION OF THE REGION ,THAT IS MY PREDICTION GIVE IT A WEEK,IF THAT. THE # 2 GUY IS ON TRIAL AT GITMO AS WE SPEAK SO THAT IS TAKEN CARE OF.THE COST WAS TO HIGH COULD HAVE BEEN DONE THE SAME WAY WITHOUT THE COST .I SAID TURN BLACK OPS LOOSE THEY WOULD GET IT DONE AND HERE WE ARE.

ZOOK you keep talking about the border POSSE COMATATOSE KEEPS OUR MILITARY OF THE BORDERS.....ITS THE LAW......until its changed which i hope they dont. that is the way it is.We could not seal it anyhow to long terrain prohibitive.Bringing them home will free up money and resources to help the border patrol, and that needs to continue. You know the Generals told them it was another Namm they didnt want to listen, and the American people demanded vengance NOW.HE was not worth 4,600 dead and almost 50.000 wounded and maimed in one way or another.Your right it wasnt there boots it was ours.

I still say were is our oil from IRAQ that was sopposed to be part of the deal>We should be screaming at our congress and senate to make that happen now.You know i think most americans have forgot about it?????????????? what a snow job,but folks made a lot of money on our blood didnt they?????????

I think we need to give our military a time out rest and rearm, fix whats broke and you and i know there is a lot broke.update equipment etc.in the last 2 years or so they added about 40,000 troops. They will cut those and thats ok if you revamp your game plan and update and fix.if they dont then we will have a problem in terms of numbers.our people are tired they need to face that.

BACK TO BEN LADEN......THEY HAVE KNOWN WERE HE WAS THEY JUST WANTED THE RIGHT PLACE TO ENSURE SUCCESS.I CANT BLAME THEM FOR THAT.BUT i dont like poletics played with our kids lives.didnt like it under BUSH and dont like it under OBAMA.ILL TELL YOU THE BIGGEST SURPRISE......THAT THEY COULD KEEP A SECRET.....AMAZING after all these years we have learned how...............well got to run for now see you latter

CHEER ON MS M ITS GOOD FOR THE SOUL

MsM...........I don't give BUSH any credit either. Read through the blog archives and you'll see where I've said again and again......that BUSH was wrong to go into Iraq.

I have said that BUSH should have gone after Bin Laden IMMEDIATELY

I have said that he should have NUKED those camel jockeys to BEGIN with and NEVER have put a "boot on the ground!

If they had killed Bin Laden under BUSH's watch.......it STILL would have cost the four thousand lives, and 40 or 50 thousand maimed & wounded that Lamont talked about.

Bush didn't have the spine to do what was needed, and Obama has done no better.

Ok....we finally killed him........big deal, put it on the front page of the National Enquirer........

Our guys are STILL being shot at and KILLED over there, for a war our government still does NOT intend to win.

And when we "don't play to win"..........our young warriors fight and DIE for NOTHING!

Don't believe that?.........take a trip to D.C. and have a good long look at that wall back there.
