Golden Eagle 12-06-09; Prairie, Idaho

...what we saw on the road home from Prairie, yesterday afternoon. He was about 25 yards from the road; it's been confirmed that he is a Golden Eagle...and he was not happy that I disturbed his meal! He flew over me, low and returned to the area. We left him at peace to enjoy whatever it was that he was eating.

haha...nahh...I didn't even think that! The expert from USGS asked me if we knew what he was eating in the picture. I told him he wasn't too happy we were watching him eat, so I don't think he was going to let us inspect his dinner! YIKES!

Just goes to show ya Sandy don't mess with an Eagle when they eating their meal. LOL. Don't normally collect anything but bald eagles but I took this also for my collection.

I saw two bald eagles flying around Mt. Home reservoir on Sunday. Unrelated but I thought it was cool. Great photo of the Golden Eagle.
