Political Science for Dummies

Posted Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at 8:16 AM

disclaimer-this was written by an unknown writer. I added a few things here and there. It is meant to be funny so lighten-up enough to enjoy it.

DEMOCRATIC

You have two cows. Your neighbor has none.

You feel guilty for being successful.

You band with other guilty surplus cow owners and write laws to make sure everyone can share the cows but there's not enough cows to go around so you borrow cows from other countries, paying enormous interest but still don't have enough cows so you lease more and pay more interest. Soon you have no money, the cows don't produce milk and the people who haven't got their cow are really pissed. So you lease more cows and so on and so on.

REPUBLICAN

You have two cows.

Your neighbor has none. So?

SOCIALIST

You have two cows.

The government takes one and gives it to your neighbor.

You form a cooperative to tell him how to manage his cow.

COMMUNIST

You have two cows.

The government seizes both and promises you milk.

You wait in line for hours to get it. It is expensive and sour.

CAPITALISM, AMERICAN STYLE

You have two cows.

You sell one, buy a bull, and build a herd of cows.

BUREAUCRACY, AMERICAN STYLE

You have two cows.

Under the new farm program the government pays you to shoot one, milk the other, and then pours the milk down the drain.

AMERICAN CORPORATION

You have two cows.

You sell one, lease it back to yourself and do an IPO on the 2nd one. You force the two cows to produce the milk of four cows. You are surprised when one cow drops dead. You spin an announcement to the analysts stating you have downsized and are reducing expenses. Your stock goes up.

FRENCH CORPORATION

You have two cows.

You go on strike because you want three cows.

You go to lunch and drink wine.

Life is good.

JAPANESE CORPORATION

You have two cows.

You redesign them so they are one-tenth the size of an ordinary cow and produce twenty times the milk. They learn to travel on unbelievably crowded trains.

Most are at the top of their class at cow school.

GERMAN CORPORATION

You have two cows.

You engineer them so they are all blond, drink lots of beer, give excellent quality milk, and run a hundred miles an hour. Unfortunately, they also demand 13 weeks of vacation per year.

ITALIAN CORPORATION

You have two cows, but you don't know where they are.

While ambling around, you see a beautiful woman.

You break for lunch. Life is good.

RUSSIAN CORPORATION

You have two cows.

You have some vodka. You count them and learn you have five cows. You have some more vodka. You count them again and learn you have 42 cows. The Mafia shows up and takes over however many cows you really have.

TALIBAN CORPORATION

You have all the cows in Afghanistan, which are two.

You don't milk them because you cannot touch any creature's private parts. You get a $40 million grant from the US government to find alternatives to milk production, but use the money to buy weapons.

IRAQI CORPORATION

You have two cows.

They go into hiding. They send radio tapes of their mooing.

POLISH CORPORATION

You have two bulls.

Employees are regularly maimed and killed attempting to milk them.

CALIFORNIA CORPORATION

You have millions of cows.

They make real California cheese. Only five speak English. Most are illegal's. The illegal cows use up all of your resources, stop making cheese, while the English cows have to work harder to pay to keep everyone happy. You go broke with millions of cows wandering the fields. You are forced to borrow from other states to keep your cows fed, educated and given all the free services they want, except for the English cows who have to work twice as hard but get no free services.

I wonder what I would do with two cows...give them weird names, feed them and love them. give my grandchildren rides on their backs. Milk them twice a day. Share the first milk with family and friends, bartering the milk for things my neighbor has plenty of. Sell the milk from the second milking and use the money to buy a few more cows to milk once to share and twice to sell each day. Everyone is happy.

Got milk? (Time 7:15am)

On the topic of the new agents, that is somewhat comical. In today's day and age of computers, it seems strange that they need to hire all these individuals. IRS agents are expensive. I have looked into working for them at times and the bottom tier positions pay about 44K per year. These agents will most likely not be of that bottom tier. To incentivize their working for them, they will give them a slight pay raise over that 44K level. I have to get to class but there has to be more to this story than meets the eye. It is not financially sound to hire more workers than one really needs.

Absolutely. It's called a Tariff. Also the old system where you just pay tax on what you buy!

There'd still be enough money for the needs of the country, including defense...........there just WOULDN'T be money for the CRAP projects, the "give-aways", Pelosi's jaunts, Trinidad vacations, all the earmarks, FREE services for the illegals who aren't supposed to be here to begin with.

Article I, Section 8 of our Constitution-------------(the OTHER document the democrats never read), states that "the Congress shall have power to collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States.........

The UNITED STATES.

Not everybody else.

Also goes on to say we are to PUNISH counterfeiting of currencies..........isn't that when money gets printed up without anything to back it? Just paper?

The Feds do it whenever Obama calls for it.

You & I would go to jail for it.

Section 7 calls for bills to be passed BOTH through the Senate and the House before the President signs it...............not SELECTED PORTIONS of each...."and then we work out the other differences later---------just so we get him a PHOTO-OP with at least SOMETHING to sign."

What we know today as "witholding" was originally the World War II "Victory Tax" ------REPEALLED in May of 1944.............but they've kept on TAKING haven't they?

Take time to check that out Twil............don't just take my word for that.

And now...............16,000 new IRS agents to make SURE you BUY what the government says you HAVE to buy, or get fined/jailed.

They have 2 basic modes, old buddy.............when they want your vote, they say "Will you?"

When they get into office, it changes from "will YOU"----to-------"You WILL!"

It's a clone of the old Mafia protection racket, except on a nationwide scale.

"You BUY or ELSE!"

And Twil............through our tax dollars, it is WE who'll be paying these guys to rob us some more! Think on that! They've already got their filthy hands in our pockets..........and now WE'RE gonna be PAYING them to find the rest of it that's under the mattress!

And it's all part of that "change" and "transparency" we're supposed to believe in.

I guess the point of the last one is that I support simplifying tax law and making the IRS a smaller player in the big picture. It is always going to exist in some shape or another. Ron Paul has conceded on numerous times that while he supports getting rid of income tax, one cant live tax free and still expect a public sector to exist.

-- Posted by twilcox1978 on Sun, Mar 21, 2010, at 2:44 PM

At the most fundamental level, taxation is part of a civilized society. It comes down to the fact that some services cant be adequately provided for by the public sector. Or at least there has never been an example in known human history. The existence of taxation no matter how little or large will yield a bureaucracy of some sort. This bureaucracy has existed in some form in every civilized society yet to exist. It has changed form and function. If abolished, it would come back in new shape but the function would be the same. A society with no public sector would become feudal and anybody that argues that a feudal society would be best has smoked too much or is ignorant beyond words.

Folks...........if ya haven't seen Ray Stevens' latest youtube video "Caribou Barbie".........ya owe it to yourselves!

-- Posted by bazookaman on Sun, Mar 21, 2010, at 8:13 AM

Pretty sweet stereotypes...But I guess that's to be expected from someone who copies and pastes their blogs. Ughhhh.

-- Posted by coolwash22 on Fri, Mar 19, 2010, at 8:03 PM

Calmly, without tirade. There is no Constitutional provision for either an IRS, NOR the tax system as it stands today, and it SHOULD be abolished along with the "federal" Reserve.

I don't think it's gonna be long now anyway, Twil. I think this government has pushed the people just about far enough. My best guess is that we're gonna see the Tea Parties discard the signs in favor of other things, and I predict it'll happen in time for the old Bazookaman to be a part of it. I sure hope so anyway.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Fri, Mar 19, 2010, at 7:44 PM

That is a bit bizaare because IRS jobs are the most prone to recession. They go up and down with the economy but this health care bill is going to complicate it. IRS types are expensive primarily because of how complex the rules that govern them are. It takes some serious brainpower to know the immensely complex tax system. I guess my criticism is not its existence but the fact that they make it so complicated. The complexity makes it difficult to administer and expensive. I know that someone will have a tirade about how it should be abolished but we all have heard it hundreds of times before. I will abstain from being a rerun.

-- Posted by twilcox1978 on Fri, Mar 19, 2010, at 11:25 AM

Oops.............typo.............that's JOHN Boehner, not Jim.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Fri, Mar 19, 2010, at 8:37 AM

HOW...................HOW do you people CONTINUE to support this bunch of Gestapo dirtbags?

What's it gonna take?

-- Posted by bazookaman on Fri, Mar 19, 2010, at 6:41 AM

Speaking of statuatory rape, they just announced a few minutes ago that Obama is planning to create 16,000 new jobs.

GOVERNMENT jobs......in yet another 253-page addition to the healthcare bill nobody understands NOW..........they're going to hire another 16,000 IRS agents to INSURE everyone is paying the premiums or paying the fines, if they manage to sneak-vote this thing through.

Straight from Jim Boehner, the House Minority leader.

So I have to stand corrected. Obama IS creating some new jobs!

My deepest apologies to our local libs out there. Your "Annointed One" IS doing something! What a fantastic and innovative use of stimulous money..............growing the IRS some more!

Ain't it November yet?

-- Posted by bazookaman on Fri, Mar 19, 2010, at 6:36 AM

Sometimes consensual sex can be legally defined as statuatory rape.

-- Posted by junkyard dog on Thu, Mar 18, 2010, at 6:11 PM

But lobbying is like consensual sex. It doesn't happen unless BOTH parties are willing.

And THESE are the bums we need to ROOT out, and VOTE out!

-- Posted by bazookaman on Thu, Mar 18, 2010, at 4:49 PM

I am not naive enough to think that lobbying can be eradicated but in a perfect world it would be minimal. It simply convolutes the political realm and it is no secret to any citizen of any country that is asking for trouble.

-- Posted by twilcox1978 on Thu, Mar 18, 2010, at 4:44 PM

There ARE no more lobbyists.

There ARE no more "special interests"

There ARE no more earmarks or taxpayer dollar waste.

We will see no more tax hikes anywhere except on the rich.

And there will be transparency "so the American people can see what their government is doing"......(un-quote).

Oh.......and what was that he said on Inauguration day?.............Oh yeah, "I swear the protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies both foreign and domestic and.................."

It's all good, Twil. Ya just gotta learn to trust 'em!

-- Posted by bazookaman on Tue, Mar 16, 2010, at 8:56 AM

A citizens initiative or other political mechanism to remove Per diem compensation or expense accounts from Congress' lap would be an epic fight. They are granted up to some number like $100 for a meal. Well I can make a gourmet meal for under $20 and I find it hard to believe that restaurants in the D.C. are that expensive. The point is that if they had to furnish this necessity out of their wages, they would have to be more frugal and that may translate to other activities.

The Constitution is not an element in this. There is nothing in the U.S. Version about how to compensate these types so that crutch could not be used. Overall, it will take fresh, new, passionate, and driven individuals to outfox them at this game. The game being overpaid. Other avenues I would like to see explored is little to no lobbying, special interest groups going away, and reduced foreign aid. I would like to say no foreign aid but we have been doling it out since the time of Jefferson. The only difference is that the amount has increased and we are seeing no return on the investment now. Years ago, they gave it out but usually it was to help industries that Americans would consume the products of. Exmaples are bananas, oil, fishing, and nitrates. There are more but I think that one can get the picture. Now we simply give it out just to be charitable. That is fine but as many have stated before, why not Americans.

-- Posted by twilcox1978 on Tue, Mar 16, 2010, at 8:34 AM

I think we're gonna see a "major uprising" this coming November.

You're right, I know a lot of people who WOULD live as luxuriously as possible, if they could.

Most of the folks I know HAVE to live on a budget and are cutting BACK on some of the few "pleasures" they have.

With the continuing loss of jobs, a LOT of people are cutting back because they HAVE to. Washington doesn't HAVE to because they aren't having to use their own money.

You're right, there ARE those who live for the moment and worry about the consequences later.

Problem is, the politicians don't HAVE to pay for THEIR mistakes..........they just figure out more ways to tax US to make up the difference!

And they do stuff on a daily basis that they'd put YOU & I in jail for!

I'm not making any excuses for the common guy, Twil, because we screw up out here too.............but we do it with OUR money, and there always seems to be double standards.

The government can counterfeit and we can't. They just print out more when they get the urge and tax US to make up the difference.

And they twist the Constitution to fit their needs.............the laws WE'RE supposed to follow don't "apply" to them. They just make up their own little rules as they go along, then send Gibbs out to keep everyone confused.

My BIGGEST issue is where they're trying to take us. Our country is SUPPOSED to be a Republic. It is BARELY a Democracy today, and they're trying to paint a hammer & sickle where the stars & stripes are. All these non-accounting "Czars" concern me greatly.

Anyone out there who claims to be "in-tune" with the pulse of this country, HAS to be nervous. HAS TO BE!

To anyone one who takes our Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights seriously...............revolution is overdue. WAY overdue! In fact, when we read the D of I closely, we find it's our DUTY!

-- Posted by bazookaman on Fri, Mar 12, 2010, at 5:28 PM

People have rightfully been complaining about politicians and CEO's living the high life at the expense of the many for centuries. Their criticisms are legit. My point in all of this is that the blame is not 100% theirs. Yes, they have a major part and as Americans we need to take a stand. Yet the mind set that makes these people feel that they earned the right to be so wasteful starts at home. Given the chance, a lot of Americans will live as luxuriously as they can. This might be bought on credit and/or hurt their long term prospects but they care not. They live for the moment. This mindset filters on up to the top.

One idea that I have had, however unrealistic, is that expense accounts be done away with. Per diem compensation for politicians should be done away with. This would take a major uprising on the part of the average citizen. Politicians at all levels would resist this and find complex, convoluted ways to rationalize these. If they had to pay out of pocket for these expenses, they may change their tune.

-- Posted by twilcox1978 on Fri, Mar 12, 2010, at 11:06 AM

Well he DID say to McCain the other day at the summit......."John, the election is over"--------yet he's been in "campaign mode" over a year now.

The oath means NOTHING to socialists, Bouncer. If it did, they're be no takeovers, mandates and party lockouts.

Ain't just Obama's jet, either. Princess Pelosi's jet wasn't enough for HER because it had to make a fuel stop between D.C. & California..... So-o-o-o....SHE "needed" an entire 757 for just HER (and her friends & family), complete with aa annual booze allotment of $102,000.

The Copenhagen trip (which did NOT concern her OR those other 24 Congressmen and their familes), cost the taxpayers over $408,000 just in FUEL! This did NOT include all the rooms at the 5-star Msrriott, food, catering and limos.

This was just ONE of the many portions of "living beyond your means" I've been discussing with Twil.

When I'm driving an old air-cooled VW to Pizza Hut for a "night out" with my wife, and at the same time, they're having $3500 per plate dinners at the White House, and Michelle FLIES to LONDON with her kids for fish & chips......................it's really tough for me to be "objective" about this "living beyond our means" thing!

When I have to pay taxes and the TREASURY SECRETARY DOESN'T, I have a problem with that. When Al Capone goes to prison for tax evasion and Charlie Rangel DOESN'T, I have a problem with that too.

When they try to ram a healthcare system down OUR throats that they THEMSELVES won't enroll in..................well, why go into it........like "Censored" would say, I'm just a paranoid, tea-partying old rightwing radical NAZI subversive clinging to his Constitution, guns and religion as though they meant something!

Did ya see Scott Brown's first trip to a session? He drove that old truck down there and parked it right among the Cadillacs, Benz's & "Beemers." What a class act!.............probably just ANOTHER radical, eh?

-- Posted by bazookaman on Thu, Mar 11, 2010, at 6:59 PM

I have a question...why do we, as tax payers, pay for the president to fly all over the country to campaign for memebers of his party. The last time I looked he was elected as the President of the United States. I don't care which party they represented in the elction, once they take the oath of office they represent US. I for one don't feel I need to have my hard earned money going towards the support of one particular party. Just think of the waste that goes on, the jet, it's crew, the secruity detail, the staff. WOW....betcha could pay for a few nudred insurance policies with what is spent on one trip across country.

-- Posted by mhbouncer on Thu, Mar 11, 2010, at 9:16 AM

Oh, I'd never argue the point about people spending money they shouldn't be, because people DO that.

But Twil, it ain't just US..........and WE don't dabble in 10-digit figures.

The average crook in D.C. can figure out ways to BLOW more tax dollars in 10 minutes than YOU can budget RESPONSIBLY all year!

And if you or I make a bad financial decision, we end up paying for it because it's our money...............

But Twil.....when the POLITICIANS make bad decisions, we STILL end up paying for it because it's STILL OUR MONEY!!

THAT'S the problem I have with it.

I have my own kids and grandkids to think about. If Congress wants to help people in Tibet, let 'em advertise for DONATIONS from the public, or take up a collection within their OWN ranks.

Our tax dollars are to be used for THIS country alone, and the Constitution is very clear about that.

I'm taking a car trip to Ohio in the next month or so. I will have to pay for my own gas (in a VOLKSWAGEN), meals, motels and all other expenses......................if Princess Nancy and company want to spend a weekend in Jamaica, it should be on THEIR nickel............not ours!

They are WAY out of control...........then, when they run out of money, they just come up with something ELSE to tax, and hit us up for MORE.

Oh yes..........absolutely, we need to watch what WE spend..........but more than THAT, we need to extend PRIME vigilance over WHO WE VOTE FOR.

We need to FIRE THESE BUMS IN NOVEMBER, because it doesn't matter how much WE try to conserve, if they just keeping blowing it by the billions and TRILLIONS, then keep turning around toward US with their hands stretched out palms up!

And with every crook that gets re-elected, that's the same thing as OUR APPROVAL that it's ok for them to keep doing this.................and it's NOT!

Is it?

It ain't with ME, anyway!

-- Posted by bazookaman on Thu, Mar 11, 2010, at 8:39 AM

No, but that was not really the topic of my last post. I have a busy day so enjoy your day. I dont support the stuff you mentioned above but will be for another day.

-- Posted by twilcox1978 on Thu, Mar 11, 2010, at 8:29 AM

And all the perks, pork, foreign aid, vote buyoffs & bribes, weekend jaunts to the islands, Pelosi's jet, Rangel cottages's, the 8,570 earmarks in that first stimulous package, bailouts and bonuses?

Our fault?

-- Posted by bazookaman on Wed, Mar 10, 2010, at 5:46 PM

I have to make this short but I get your points. Wasteful spending happens all the time. All that I am saying is that all this complex, high-end, economic stuff all boils down to choice on the consumer level. Their actions are the start of all other eventual reactions. Now does anyone want to hear this? No, because reforming one consumer or one politician does not help the big picture. Society likes big sweeping changes with tangible benefits. The rationale behind what makes someone decide to spend or not spend takes years to develop and sometimes cannot be unlearned.

Bankers are guilty but I tire of everyone blaming business and govt. for their own shortcomings. It all started in the living room when they had an inkling of an idea to upgrade or not. I find that most people faced with this decision are pretty smart and know that there is risk involved. Just because someone does not talk them out of it is not everyone's problem. The banker would not have the dilemma had the couple not thought about it and upon deliberation decided that it was worth the risk. I come back to the person because I find that upon them coming clean, they say that they knew better but still went ahead. The cost in terms of satisfaction and lost prestige is minimal compared to the cost of having to move again, bad credit ratings, and ultimately society picking up the tab.

-- Posted by twilcox1978 on Wed, Mar 10, 2010, at 10:50 AM

Twil...........if WE wanted a new park here in Mountain Home, it shouldn't be up to taxpayers in the other 49 states to help pay for it.

That "Tunnels for Turtles" back east........if the taxpayers in those states want it, let THEM cough it up. Shouldn't come out of any federal tax funds.

The ACLU and Janet Reno intend to spend 8.5 million dollars to defend the 9/11 terrorists. These are vermin who hang innocent people from bridges and be-head Americans. Holder gives them Miranda Rights, wants a civilian trial and the Reno/ACLU team wants to defend them.............where is the 8.5 million dollars supposed to come from?.........their OWN pockets?

Anyone out there care to guess WHOSE wallets are being looked at for this?

There are no REAL Americans out there who sympathize with these murderers. I can't think of anybody who would DONATE money for their "defense" (and KSM has ALREADY admitted to it)...........so why do our tax dollars get used for crap that you and I would NEVER personally support?

The Chinese send these HUGE cargo ships over here, and they go back EMPTY..........who's in charge of TRADE around here? Do THEY not have to import anything back from US?

Just like foreign aid and disaster relief...........it only seems to go one way.

If we wanted to donate tons of money to Haiti, for example, we would follow the Clinton/Bush commercials on tv and do it, wouldn't we?

I tithe in church because I WANT to.

I tip the waitress because I WANT to.

I buy Optimist Cheerleader/Band cards from the kids because I WANT to.

I support the Girl Scout Cookie Drive because I WANT to.

I support the NRA because I WANT to.

etc........

I freely give to causes I believe in. I expect my tax dollars to be used for the good of OUR country, as it is laid out in the Constitution.

Catastrophies in other countries aren't my problem (might sound cold, but NOBODY EVER HELPS US!!).........tell me when anybody HAS.......

There are enough of us who would take care of the terrorists for 65 cents apiece, so Eric Holder has no business spending 200 million for a New York trial......and the only reason they're looking at MOVING it back to the military NOW is because of what it's going to cost at the polls in November. They'd NEVER have done the right thing on their own.

Turtles don't need tunnels to go under roads....they're gonna walk where they want to walk anyway..............Maybe we could get a few billion dollars out to Idaho in a "Bunks for Badgers" campaign, to try to stop them from digging, eh? I'm sure people back east wouldn't mind paying for THAT!

People out here who actually WORK for a living are lucky to be able to afford an annual vacation at all----and THEN maybe a car trip 3 states away................but the pirates in D.C. spend weekends in the Bahamas, the Carribean, Hawaii............heck, even COPENHAGEN, and YOU get to pay for it!

You didn't get to GO..........but you got to pay for it. They do NOTHING for YOU in Congress while they dine on steak and lobster.................................................where did YOU "dine" today, sack lunch or Burger King?.........and you've got to hurry back to the time clock to make enough money to help render a tax that Pelosi can use for another bottle of gin on her 757.

Ever fly in to John Murtha's private airport? Neither does HE now, but tax dollars helped to build it.

If you printed scads of money with nothing tangible to BACK it, isn't that the same thing as "counterfeiting?"...............you and I would go to PRISON for doing that.

If YOU didn't pay your taxes, could YOU get to be the TREASURY SECRETARY?

The Federal Reserve, which isn't "Federal" at all, and is IN FACT owned by foreign bankers, has NEVER been audited, but they make sure their red-headed step children in Ogden & Austin audit YOU whenever they see fit, even though they couldn't pass THEIR OWN audit by the GAO a few years back.

Those of us who stand and demand that our tax dollars be used for their originally-intended purposes, and demand that our Constitution be followed................we're "radicals", "trouble-makers", "rightwing subversives" and "NAZI'S"

People living "beyond their means" Twil..........Do THEY get a "bail-out" and a huge bonus for mis-management? Fannie, Freddie and AIG DO!.

Obama just gets on the phone and says..........."print me out a few hundred sheets for the weekend---------20's and 50's will do!"

It's fashionable to throw the blame on the general public for financial incompetence, but let's face it..............

If I'm making a thousand dollars a month before taxes, and want to buy a $450,000 home, a new SUV and a speedboat............and some bank says "SURE.........when do you want it?"...........whose fault is it REALLY?

Aren't THEY supposed to be the "educated professionals?"

It's no different than if your kid brings home a pet scorpion. YOU are the experienced professional who KNOWS the danger but tell him "Sure....why not....."

Then he gets STUNG! Who's fault? You KNEW better because it's your JOB to know better. What do you tell him?......."Hey kid, you should have known better than to play with scorpions."

That banker KNOWS you can't afford that $450,000 house. He knows it better than YOU do. He's in BUSINESS to know that. He also has a duty to his DEPOSITORS not to gamble with their money.

No, this government WANTS us to retain some kind of subliminal thought that it's all really OUR fault, in order to "mask" their OWN activities.

And any way you view it, the problems we're having with the debt........and the problems with the rest of the world in general, beats a steady path RIGHT TO THE DOORS OF WASHINGTON D.C.

WHY?............Simple. Very Simple.

Our Constitution was put in place for a REASON! Worked pretty well until we started "playing" with it. "Sneaking around" it, trying to "modify" and make a "smorgasboard" out of it.

Our politicians Twil, do things on a daily basis that you and I would personally NEVER do. And until we vote 'em out......revolt.....or BOTH...........................

.............ain't nothin' gonna change.

Our Constitution was written by men a whole lot wiser than any of US today. The freedom we've enjoyed, we gotten through THEM. The sovereignty and prosperity------through THEM. The independence-----------yeah, THEM too.

The "King" had them where the U.N. and the Chinese WISH to have us. Our founders did something about it, so we could be free today.

They drew up a set of guidelines based upon REALITY, for us dummies to follow later, but we're now seemingly willing to turn liberty over for "security."

Hitler gave 'em bread and hope to get their support..............then he TOOK what he wanted.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Wed, Mar 10, 2010, at 9:52 AM

Being fiscally responsible and sensible is not all that glorious and does not garner attention. It comes down to people wanting instant rewards or in this case instant acceptance. They want the world to know that they are living the high life and cant wait till their bank account justifies it.

Credit card companies, banks, mortgage brokers took advantage of the public, sure. Did certain policies enacted during both the Clinton and Bush eras usher this problem in? Yes. No matter the policy, interest rate, or anything other big picture item it all boils down to choice.

The beginning of the tax-and-spend cycle is choice. Politicians and their perpetually poor fiscal record starts with choice on the constituent/consumer level. It always easier to blame them at the end of the cycle. Sometimes I wonder if America is too wealthy/affluent for its own good.

-- Posted by twilcox1978 on Wed, Mar 10, 2010, at 8:35 AM

No, the DIFFERENCE is that the politicians are playing this game with OUR money.............they ain't using their own.

If I'm gonna go bankrupt, let ME be the one to do it.

When they TAKE from us and lose it, I don't think it should be OUR job to make it up with even MORE taxes.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Wed, Mar 10, 2010, at 8:05 AM

Oh, I know plenty of people that lived way above their means and bought things like big screen TV's, new cars, bought too big of a home, season tickets to various sporting events, high price vacations. They knew plenty well that they were going under but they continued to push their luck in hopes of the economy coming back up. Well, it did not and their risks were not rewarded. Politicians play the same game. The difference is that they rarely pay the consequences.

When one person pulls a stupid like described above, its tough luck. When thousands of Americans play Russian Roullette with their financial fortunes, then they cry to the govt to rescue them and so starts the cycle that we have been complaining about for years.

On the brighter side, I have spoke with people who are just naturally sensible regardless of how well the economy is performing. There are a few who dont let everybody else influence their decision making.

We'd have to talk to people like Charlie Rangel and Nancy Pelosi to get a glimpse of that "feverish demand for luxury" would't ya think?

I take ny grand daughter to McDonald's and drive an old Volkswagen.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Tue, Mar 9, 2010, at 1:22 PM

it comes to Americans (politicians and lay people) feeling like they need a high standard of living. If people of all sectors could learn to not have a feverish demand for luxury, that would help the economic picture. Sounds simplistic but when you get to the core of it that is what it boils down to. The big picture stuff like bond rates, Federal Reserve policies, interest rates, and trade deficits boil down to consumer demand. Each person may only have a minute impact on the whole but they influence others.

The Russians are going to be a sticky issue in the upcoming years. They oppose virtually every international decision that the U.S. makes. They are powerless at the moment but that could change.

Postnote............I got an interesting phone call last night from an old friend in Arkansas, who is part of a very patriotic group of folks down there. He was telling me that they are thinking seriously about flying the American flag upside down until things return to what they SHOULD be in this country.

There's a guy in Texas already doing that, and while he's created a bit of ill-will from a few neighbors, he's broken no laws, because Section 8 of the U.S. Flag Code specifically calls for the blue field to be displayed at the bottom in times of "dire national distress."

And I don't know how you'd call THIS anything less. We've fought and won a lot of wars over the last 235 years, yet TODAY, without even a shot being fired, we are on the verge of being taken over, as these thieves in Washington continue to give it all away. All China and several other nations have to do is call in their notes, that the politicians can't pay.

I don't know this for a fact, but I understand that on paper, they already DO own a considerable amount of real estate and corporations over here.

We even owe 142 BILLION to the RUSSIANS of all people! Is that TRUE?? One of you scholars out there help me out here...........do we EVEN owe our old arch-enemy that kind of money?

If so, my friend Larry is right on the money........the flag DOES need to be flown upside-down! Totally legal and respectful, as per the code.

Any thoughts out there?......................(and what about the Russians, do they really hold one of our "IOU's" as well?)

-- Posted by bazookaman on Tue, Mar 9, 2010, at 8:14 AM

Yes, times do change, but when they start tampering with the Constitution to fit their own agendas, it brings about change we CANNOT allow, and certainly don't want to "believe in."

Just tonight, Nancy Pelosi is defending Charlie Rangel because "he didn't do anything to jeopardize national security."

Could I use that same excuse, and not pay MY taxes as well?

Double standards, back-door deals, bribes and pay-offs for votes, ramming things through whether they're Constitutional or not, ignoring the people you're SUPPOSED to be representing, etc..........

This HAS to be stopped Twil, or the country's gone. It's just flat out gone. We're gonna wake up some morning in a heap of dog-dung, not knowing how we got there, and still looking for someone to blame, when the answer was right in the mirror all the time.

In just a short year, they have become drunk with unchallenged power. Way too much of it, and if the people haven't awakened sufficiently by November to take it away from them, it'll have to be done as our founders did, if we are to survive and our kids not be sold into slavery.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Sun, Mar 7, 2010, at 8:10 PM

Everything changes in time. The era that people on here romanticize was the result of changes. Today's era is just another stop on the path. For every generation, there is always those who cry and say that the world is going to heck and that it is all the current era's fault. In the 50's, there was plenty of people saying that morals had gone to pot and that Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters were simply making noise. There were plenty who thought that we should go back to strict Catholics, horse and buggy, never leave the county, meat and potatoes, vigilante justice, etc. I find myself looking at 18 year old kids and shaking my heads. I sound just like my parents did back in the mid-90's. They were telling me that kids just dont know how to work and that we were all spoiled, good for nothings. The point is that times change whether one likes it or not.

CJW, I once thought about moving south of the border myself, reasoning that in a few short years, they'll all be up HERE anyway, and there'll be room for us to stretch out down there.

But then, I planted my feet a few years back and said "NO!" I'm a Amercian and will NOT be driven out of my own home. I will stand and fight, (or join the movement our founders did, and fight). Doesn't matter.

I've got a lot more days behind me than I have in front of me. Won't be anything new, I've exchanged lead with communists before, the only difference NOW is that they're in D.C. and THIS time it won't be for someone ELSE's liberty, it'll be for OURS.

Won't be any "rules" this time, either.

Hang in there, Bro. Our founders did it once already.

Brenda,

Thank you very much for your clarification and responses, I am honestly not trying to be difficult or disrespectful, and now understand why my post was removed I will make it a point to NOT use that word again.

Bazooka I am a few years junior to you and I still agree with you this aint the world I was raised in where honor and integrity actually were good enough. Maybe time to sell it all and move to one of those gated communities in Costa Rica considering the very government we worked for, supported and defended (20 years myself)seems to have turned on us.

-- Posted by cant justwatch on Fri, Mar 5, 2010, at 2:12 PM

Yeah, if the sun stays out and the wind out there dies down a bit. If it stays nice, I think I'll leave the modern iron behind and go out with a couple of the black powder guns.

***to avert any confusion, "black powder" is the common accepted term in the firearms world, for muzzle-loading percussion weapons, also slangly termed as "coal-burners."

These are the pioneer style weapons where you measure and pour the powder, inset the wadding, seat and tamp the ball, then install the persussion cap over the chamber nipple----Yes, that's what it's called and properly so.

You take aim, pull the hammer back and fire. Then you go through the entire process again. Because of the fire and excessive smoke + the color of the powder itself, these weapons are called black powder pistols and rifles. Nothing derogatory ever intended.

Modern powders are gray and sometimes grayish-black in color.***

Just thought I'd clear the air on that one before anybody takes it wrong. We all have things that "offend" us.

Like pressing "1" for English, being on hold for the next 5 minutes listening to something they call music, and then when someone LIVE actually DOES answer the phone, you STILL can't understand what they're trying to say!

Or am I alone here?

Tolerance needs to fly BOTH ways in this country.

Just a few open questions to everyone............

If an illegal alien can march in the streets and fly HIS flag, why is it UN-acceptable for an American-born guy in the south, in his OWN YARD, to fly HIS flag? That offends me.

Why can the Feds print money whenever they like, but you & I CAN'T? That offends me.

Why do terrorists who BE-HEAD captured Americans, get MIRANDA RIGHTS over here? That offends me.

Al Capone went to prison for tax evasion, but Tim Geithner heads the IRS. That offends me.

We sell arms to other countries but want to DIS-arm our OWN people. That offends me.

Nancy Pelosi has a $102,000 booze allowance for her 757, but they're taxing YOUR beer. That offends me.

We have national "awareness months", "history months" and other special weeks and months................and the American Indians, who actually DO have a legitimate gripe.........get left out. THEY ought to be offended about THAT!

I have to PROVE I'm an American citizen from time to time in my life. The President DOESN'T. That offends me.

We help everyone else in times of disaster. Nobody helps US. And we keep DOING it! That offends me.

Nobody in Congress has the same healthcare that's "good enough for the rest of us." THAT offends me.

When we condemn Hitler for HIS "takeovers' and taking away people's rights, the other side agrees with us. When we call our OWN government for the same things, we're "prejudiced." THAT offends me.

The government wants to know how much money WE make, but they don't have to tell us where the money goes that they steal from US. THAT SHOULD OFFEND ANYBODY WHO IS READING THIS!!!

Perverts can molest and kill our children, yet we don't have the legal right to kill THEM. That offends me.

................There are a LOT of things that offend ME, that go well beyond the word that is "opposite of Heaven."

So I beg of you wonderful people out there to please bear with me if you can. Try to remember my "time affliction and recognition status"...........................

..............I grew up with Roy Rogers, Nehi Orange, '57 Chevys and Wolfman Jack..........

and there ain't NOTHIN' out here anymore that I recognize or understand.

I have never in my life done drugs, but walking around in 2010, this is SURELY what it must be like, 'cause nothing makes sense to me anymore.

I cannot BEGIN to comprehend what has happened to the country I grew up in.

Brenda,

I have a pretty good memory and am confident that I did not use any word that the dictionary chooses to consider a curse word, unfortunately I did NOT print my post because I was confident that the wording however edgy was not over the line. The topic may have been abrasive but when I am openly assaulted verbally by one who chooses to use racially motivated insults and hide behind hypocritical standards I will speak up.

I did print bazookas post that was deleted and having reviewed it very carefully the only words I found that could have offended were the opposite of heaven, and the small metal object you would use a screwdriver to install. Possibly even the word "JACK" which still is NOT considered a curse word.

If we are going to this level then when DUMBfound referred to others as "inbred" that should have been censored, since that term refers to intercourse between relatives.

I see no reason to call you or come visit you and up until this point I did feel that you were fair and impartial when it came to censoring postings. In this instance I will have to disagree.

I can think of countless ways to say many even more offensive things without EVER using what could be referred to as "curse" words, but I choose to at least attempt adult mature debate.

Bottom line this will be my last comment on this subject.

If you feel offended at being referred to as a racist monitor imagine how I felt being referred to as "white trailer park trash" and when I responded WITHOUT throwing racist slurs out there... I WAS THE ONE CENSORED.

Unfortunately it had nothing to do with someone being offended because so many entries would of been gone in all the time since providing the banter box and blogs. What offends one, myself included does not offend the next or even another employee here involved. People have asked me how can someone think or say that. Simple - it is not a judgment call. And I have learned there are a lot of opinions out there. It was that one simple word opposite of heaven. Nor does it have anything to do with the dictionary. There are words we have identified as being not allowed and that is one of them. No one is being censored. Believe me we delete very very little. I do appreciate everyone's attempts at being "mature adults debating" because it is very hard to read some of these myself sometimes. Just part of the job. I have found for myself comments I completely agree with and like, but it will have one word that causes a delete. We do not edit any comments ever so I don't just go in and fix it. I have thought the rules simple from the beginning and totally get that sometimes heat of the moment thoughts and feelings get involved with typing fingers. You will very seldom see me on here even as the business manager. I myself am a more verbal personal in your face type of being and don't participate on a personal level. It has been a very long time that I have felt like explaining myself and like you am too done with the subject. Just be careful and everyone have a great weekend.

Thanks Bouncer. I wrote a good reply, but it must have offended SOMEBODY because it get deleted.

Doesn't matter. I'll be at up at the shop later this morning where the Constitution is honored, speech is free and truth doesn't offend anybody.

Tell ya what, Dumbfounded, I'll make this "kind and gentle", ok? Because I'm not gonna let YOU or any OTHER liberal get this morning started off on a bad note............

It was my military career which eventually settled me here in "Hickville" Idaho. But I learned the facts of life growing up on Potrero Hill in OLD San Francisco.......which was NOT AT THAT TIME, the city of freaks it is today.

oops.......

(May I use the word "freak?"-------is that acceptable?)

I ran in a gang called the Black Barts. On the OTHER side of the "Hill" was O.J. Simpson and HIS gang known as the "Persian Warriors". A third gang in the Mission District was a larger gang called the Medalions----------

and THEN, scattered around North Beach where O.J. and I atttended Galileo High, was an oriental (we'll use THAT term, as not to "profile" anybody).....group of delightful scholars known as the TONG! (I understand they're still around).

I AM just "slightly familiar" with the STREETS.

PS to Bouncer, you're right, I AM better armed. You oughta see what I just acquired last week. I'll stop by and see ya.

Well once again Big Brother..or Sister..I wouldn't want to OFFEND anyone, has stepped up and made a judgement call. I personally feel OFFENDED by the term "trailer park white trash" I for one do NOT live in a trailer park but my father does. Neither he nor I were raised as white trash. We both were raised as second and third generation decendants of immigrants that actually came to this country to get out from under the oppressive goevernment in central Europe in the first aprt of the 20th century. My father and my father's father raised their sons to be hard working memebers of society. I went to college and though I haven't gotten my degree, I have re-entered college to finish my business degree. I have worked hard for everything I have. I have two cars, a road bike and a camp trailer. Some of my neighbors have more and some have less. I am a proud spouse of an Air Force Sergeant. She has given 11 years of her life so idiots like DUMBFOUNDED IN IDAHO can spout off about how smart they are because they moved here from New York City. You poor hicks can't possibly be as smart as he is because he came from New York City. What a joke. I worked for a guy that came from New York City once. TOTAL buffoon. Thought he was smart too until a few "Good 'Ol Boys" showed him how small town doesn't mean small mind and certainly doesn't mean hick, redneck, hillbilly...I could go on and on. Dumb in Idaho needs to realize that there are people with more intelligence AND more LIFE EXPERIENCE than he could gather for the rest of his life living in this smal town. One of those men is Bazooka. Sun Zu says you need to know your enemy as you kow yourself. Might be a good thing to think about before you spout off again DII.

Interesting how that works isn't it? I guess only certain ethnic groups are racist according to whoever plays blog monitor around here... Wouldnt that make the blog monitor racist though?

I just looked it up in an online dictionary though and can't find any reference to one specific ethnic group or another having rights to the word or concept.... Hmmmmm

Main Entry: rac·ism

Pronunciation: \ˈrā-ˌsi-zəm also -ˌshi-\

Function: noun

Date: 1933

1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race

2 : racial prejudice or discrimination

I myself will respond to you as your personal "blog monitor" you referenced above after your 3 comments after you were deleted. Your one entry that was deleted was for one simple reason. A word we consider to be a curse word, no other reason. Many before you and since have been deleted for the same one word. If you can't remember what you typed please feel free to call me or stop by and I will be glad to share with you your entry again. I refrain from deleting entry's no matter my personal opinions and stick to the basic rules we describe even if I take offense at being referred to as a racist monitor.

cant justwatch, I believe that if one word in the comment was changed to black, then it would have been racist. Not sure why the difference though.

-- Posted by midea on Thu, Mar 4, 2010, at 2:09 PM

OK NOW!! is this really the way it is going to be?

DUMBfound states "You are the kind of low-life that my children have nightmares about...inbred, trailor park white trash.""

A BLATANT racial slur and nothing happens!

Yet any other comment that borders on discussing racial issues gets removed????

IS THIS THE "NEW" EQUALITY IN THIS COUNTRY?

-- Posted by cant justwatch on Thu, Mar 4, 2010, at 12:24 PM

Well OUCH!

MHN Editor I understand the topic of my response to DUMBfound was edgy, but by no means were curse words or even racial slurs used. ALTHOUGH you have allowed the post referring to people as "white trailer park trash" to remain which is a blatant racial slur. heck even "redneck" can be considered racist.

But alas, your website, your rules.

-- Posted by cant justwatch on Thu, Mar 4, 2010, at 8:56 AM

Dear Moron squad...enough already, your responses are as humorious as well as your existance on this planet.

I'm suprised you could actually understand some of the wording in my last blog...with that Idaho public schooling of yours....what grade did you complete, 5th or 6th?

Though I'd love to continue our conversation, I feel that any further discussion would start making that pea brain of yours "hurt". And on a secondary note, I'm just getting bored!

Funny, it seems that everytime I'm done engaging in conversation with inbred, pea brains like yourself, I feel extremely dirty and feel the need to wash.

Let me give you some advice, have you and your buddies from "the moron squad" go back and finish grammer school. Then maybe read a newspaper or two...something simple like, USA Today or maybe even the Statesman. Start out slow, don't want to hurt that tiny grey matter in between your ears. Reading something like the New York Times or Washington Post...those publications are for "grown-ups" who can dissmenate those "10 dollar" words and process in-depth thought.

I'd like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was feeling a little low lately, but you seemed to turned that around. Our limited time together has strongly enforced my self-esteem. Maybe I was wrong about you and the moron-squad, there could a use for you, like making people like me have a good laugh. Humor is a cure all ya know...what a second, you wouldn't know, your a "moron"!

Oh, by the way a little throw back to bazookaman, you wouldn't a second in my neighboorhood in New York.

Bazooka, great read first thing in the morning. So funny, yet so true.

Cantjustwatch: Keep on keepin' on. Good job. Kudos to you. Sounds like you work hard, and play hard. Got the best of both; water fun and land. Can't beat that.

Somewhat along those lines, a dying preacher lay in a hospital bed with his final hours approaching. His last request was for a Congressman and an IRS agent to come sit with him until the end came.

His doctor was a man of influence and was able to arrange it. The old pastor asked the Congressman to pull up a chair and sit on his left side, and asked the IRS agent to sit on his right.

An hour or so of total silence had passed, and the Congressman finally leaned over and said "Preacher, we don't mind sitting here with you, but why did you specifically ask for US?

"It's Biblical" replied the preacher.

"Biblical?" asked the IRS agent

"Yes...........Jesus died between a pair of thieves and I want to do the same!"

There sre no state laws on the books I know of, that say you have to remain here with all of us "morons, dimwits and rednecks", Dumbfounded.

You're free to return to California, New York, Florida or wherever else you seem to think "Fantasyland" is.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Tue, Mar 2, 2010, at 6:41 AM

DUMBfound,

Sounds like your trying oh so hard to sound intelligent by tossing out a couple ten dollar words.... I wonder how much time you spent digging through the dictionary to find all those BIG words LOL I "is" very impressed!

Maybe the demographics "is" changing in Idaho but I seriously doubt the wind is going to blow the way you want it to.

Sure didn't take you long to bring prejudice into this.... Kind of like a one trick pony aint ya

Quick get out your dictionary and thesaurus and come up with a snappy reply I will expect a well thought out response by New Years!

By the way here's my "SO"

I own a couple trucks, a car, 3 boats, plenty of land, and, and, and, and etc....worked my butt off for it all... Lot's of people I know have less. Many have more.

Sooooooo???????

-- Posted by cant justwatch on Tue, Mar 2, 2010, at 6:18 AM

Could care less about cows. Except they're good to eat. If my neighbor had something I wanted (no cows) and I didn't have it. I would probably asked to borrow it, because my and I actually talk to each other and have a great relation. Or even better, spend some of my hard-earned money and buy what I needed, instead of sitting on my butt and crying for a handout. Oh my god, a productive American. What a concept!

-- Posted by GFYS69 on Tue, Mar 2, 2010, at 12:31 AM

Ouch cantjustwatch! My feeling would have been hurt, but since I know that this is coming from someone with "extreme" limited mental capacity, I actually feel exhilerated.

I am acutually aroused cantjustwatch...

Once again, you have overreached your bounds in not only your limited intellect, but as to where I come from. You epitomize the meaning of the word "MORON". It's "dimwits" like yourself who makes Idaho look like it does amoungst our fellow Americans.

You represent the tired and worn out "rednecks" that have habituated this region for far too long. The demographics of this state is slowly but surely changing. I forsee in the very near future, your kind will be exiting or even better yet "eradicated" from this great state.

You are the kind of low-life that my children have nightmares about...inbred, trailor park white trash.

Yes, I see a bright future for this community and this state without the likes of intellectually challenged beings like you. Notice how I left out "human"...you don't fit that category...oh by the way, the last I checked my genitlas were alive and very well.

PS "midea" you also are included in the "MORON" squad.

"Quick to judge, quick to anger, slow to understand...ignorance and prejudice go hand and hand"

-- Posted by DUMBFOUNDED IN IDAHO on Tue, Mar 2, 2010, at 12:02 AM

You made my day. Good job.

Oh yeah, forgot; my neighbor has a mini van - Sooo?

DUMBfound in Idaho,

Somewhere in liberal California probably frisco area there is a village missing it's IDIOT!!! Go home PLEASE... So far each and every post I have read of yours on this web site has convinced me beyond a shadow of a doubt that you truly are as clueless as your posts sound.

Now I am seriously laughing at your previous comments about "running for political office"

The "thing" that decided to have it's genitals removed and other equipment placed from Nampa already used the "transgendered" ploy up there, so maybe you can try some other idiotic platform to run on, or at least maybe get some blogging advice from it.

Sad when a human being that CHOSE to have it's genitals mutilated and parade that fact around seeking empathy displays more intelligence than you have in your comments on this website.

-- Posted by cant justwatch on Mon, Mar 1, 2010, at 7:47 PM

Dang, I have 3 trucks, a regular car, and 3 sports cars. SO? Oh shucks I forgot, I have 3 garage stalls also. So?

-- Posted by midea on Mon, Mar 1, 2010, at 3:57 PM

Well, Dumbfounded, I guess that's just because Republicans are accustomed to WORKING for what they have, and NOT depending on others to HAND them their way of life.

There are a lot of people of the "portside persuasion" (like that one?)....who think the world OWES them something just for BEING here!

I've never begrudged anyone who has applied themselves, accomplished things and showed the initiative to be sucessful. He's EARNED his speedboat and cabin in the mountains.

God Bless people like Henry Ford, who only had a 9th grade education, but wasn't afraid to roll up his sleeves and build an empire.

Nancy Pelosi is rich too, has the big airliner and unlimited expense account...........the difference is that WE pay for THAT! She's done NOTHING to rate ANY of that.

And why SHOULDN'T we say "SO????"

8 point shake in Chile. I look any day now, for Obama to start shoveling money we don't have into THAT!

Nobody helped us rebuild the fleet at Pearl Harbor. There was no help at 9/11, Katrina, or any OTHER disaster that has hit US.

So Dumbfounded............if we have 2 cows, and the other guy has none, I TOO say......."So?"

Nowhere in our Constitution (there's that "dreaded" word again)....does it say that WE are to be the world's policeman, or the world's welfare office.

Like the bumper sticker says......"Work hard, millions on welfare depend on you"

I have 4 cars parked out in front of my house. My neighbor has 2.

So????"

-- Posted by bazookaman on Mon, Mar 1, 2010, at 7:51 AM

I get it...you reference cows because that's what you're use too. Very original, I guess they call that Mountain Home humor, or some may call it "red-neck" humor. I especially like the reference to REPUBLICANS...that should be their official motto "You have two cows. Your neighbor has none. So?"

Wait a second, I feel a chukkle coming from deep inside my bowels...hold on... no, false alarm, it was just gas! Kinda like your blog!

You have two cows.

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Tue, Feb 16, 2010, at 9:47 AM

You'd have to be quiet about that, though, Kim.

As soon as Pelosi and friends found out you were giving the kids rides, they would impose a road tax under the transportation system. You would have to LICENSE and INSURE that cow and pay an environmental impact fee for every dropping it left.

A "Milk Czar" would then impose an inspection fee the the quality of milk you were "bartering" and PETA would get a cut of that to make sure you weren't somehow abusing the cow by making it carry a little child.

If you bought MORE cows, some "Farm Czar" would make you get a business license, and Al Gore would demand measuring devices inserted up the cows' butts to monitor warm flatulent gases going into the ozone parameters. The measuring instruments would be purchaed with taxpayer dollars, and a "user fee" taxed unto YOU.

If you built a lean-to, so as to keep your cow out of the rain & hot sun, you'd have to go through P & Z for a permit, and pay an inspection fee upon completion, and it would be an annotated addition to your home, upon approval of an "Auxilliary Shelter Czar."

Giving them "weird names" would be a freebie----------------noody in government would know the difference.
