  • What lies. Al Gore's movie was not theory, but based on the facts of science. Co2 is a heat trapping gas that is now bringing our ecosystems including our oceans and glaciers dangerously close to a tipping point. You would understand that if you were truly more concerned with this planet than with trashing a good man who has done nothing all of these years but advocate for the sustainability of this planet. The only thing we need to stop is the incessant juvenile whining of climate deniers who have unleashed the true climate hoax on the USA with their blatant ignorance of science.

  • Dear CDAL: You are very entitled to your opinion, as am I. There have been more scientist coming "OUT" of the Global Warming Farce every day. This has been a means to an end for Gore and all of the scientist who started this hysteria. This has been a money making deal from the get-go. Now, I do believe that we have to take care of our planet. It is obvious that we can't pollute the soil, air and the water with harmful chemicals. I do agree that man has done alot of damage that must be undone. I believe in finding clean fuel and stopping the chemicals being used to kill off our soil. There are plenty of things that we need to continue to clean up. However, Global warming is another story. Years ago, scientist were reporting that we were headed for a new ice age and predicted that we would already be in the midst of it by now. Do you not see that they were wrong, yet were just as convincing back then as the global warming disciples are now? Seek and you will find plenty of evidence against it. We need to stop throwing money at this and focus on what we really needed to survive such as sustainable agriculture, clean fuels, plenty of jobs, live-giving abundent water supplies, and affordable essentials for raising a family. What good is sinking millions and trillions into global warming while your country's people are starving, unemployed and losing their homes?

CDAL, you could have stopped your statement with "A man who has done nothing all of these years" and that would have been the only truthful statement you made. His "film" was a fantasy. The science used has now been shown to be incomplete and most likely a lie in itself. So called scientist have buried evidence that could have debunked their findings just so they could support Mr. Gore's pet project.

Listening to scientists who aren't addicted to the kool-aid have been saying all along the fuzzy science Gore was using wasn't the truth. Now who's truth is inconvenient? Having lived in an area that harbored it's share of environmentalists I can tell you that the logic used to support their cause has always been skewed. They want to save the bull trout yet it's the same bull trout that dines on the the sockeye and chinook salmon that are on the endangered list. They want the brook trout removed from our streams because it's a non-native species yet they introduce Canadian Gray Wolves into out mountains. These wolves are genetically different from the native wolves in Idaho. They protest and sue the US Forest Service for logging old growth timber then want the same Forest Service to save their home when a forest fire rages through deep under growth towards their log cabins. HYPOCRISY!!!!

THINK people. This is the natural ebb and flow of our environment. Mother Nature self adjusts all the time to correct the imbalance. If after thousands of years we haven't figured out how to stop floods, turn hurricanes, or tamp down an earthquake how do you figure that we can change the tempurature around us in the few years each of us are given on this planet.

Tell me CDAL, how is CO2 any more a planet warming gas than say oxygen? Is the levels of CO2 higher now than they have been in previous years? What about nitrogen? Argon?

Having been a EMT, I know that to sustain life there must be between 18-21% oxygen in the atmosphere. Any less and people start to die. True you can adapt over time to lower levels, they do it when the climb Everest, but you cannot do it forever. The chemical make up of our atmosphere is primarliy nitrogen, 78%, oxygen, 21% and argon, less than 1%. Carbon Dioxide makes up aroun .038%. Show me the science where this has changed dramatically over the past 100 years? 50 years? 10 years? If what is said is true, then a dramatic change in CO2 would mean that we have given all the plant life on this planet the equivilent of a McDonalds to feed on daily. And as we have seen from another great film...eating McDonalds does nothing but make you fatter. So if that were the case then plant life on this planet would have increased in size and scope. Yet becasue of global warming we are told that deserts are getting bigger, glaciers are melting and that all life is in danger.....BS!!

CDAL, Take a big spoonful of reality and answer honestly how much effect our small nation can have on the environment when nations suchs as Russia and China do nothing to decrease the amount of pollutants the spew into the air. Remember that 1.3 BILLION Chinese must spew TONS of CO2 daily. And while your at it...do something about all those nasty volcanoes that keep polluting the air. Good Luck!

Don't knock the GPS idea....if you can track a weak cell phone signal to locate a couple who relied on their GPS then maybe we can use the uplink signal to locate where these illegals are and give them a trip back across the border. Sorry..was thinking outside the box.

  • As i stated before, there were/are some telling signs that global warming was/is an active phenomenon. Greenland, Svalbard, etc. have grown in size. Size being land not covered in ice. This may have just been a random era in the grand scheme. Whether or not, man created this or not is not my realm of expertise. Economically, regulating CO2 would be very costly. I am not sure of the benefits that would accrue if CO2 was lessened. There is obviously more to the story but why would any politically minded person want to admit that.

  • Bazooka---

I was wondering if you caught that blurb on the water stations. Did you also catch how they called them immigrants as opposed to illegal immigrants? I, myself, consider "immigrants" people who have turned in their paperwork to become citizens and are waiting on their status to change. Or those who must come to the US because they "helped" the US in some way and now their own country wants to kill them or put them on trial for treason, etc. I do not consider people who walk/run/drive across a border to defraud US taxpayers immigrants. Just me.

Water stations?!?! Why not just do away with border patrol and let all of them in and make them citizens----OH WAIT...THAT IS WHAT WE ARE DOING NOW ANYWAY. The "immigrants" will end up in the US and US citizens will end up departing for Costa Rica, etc. Yes, change I believe in for sure. I hope I will be allowed to own my shorts when this is all over.

  • Thanks Bazooka. I will be looking for that. Happy New Year to you and your family! Take care!

  • Good one Zooka! Once again "change" (cha ching) that we can believe in. Just like the new IRS tax table which provides for higher taxes! Surprise-surprise. Most of the country can hardly get by and now the feds will take more from our checks (which includes taxable retirement funds/accounts). Happy freakin new year indeed!

I've said for years, if there had been environmentalists during the time of the dinosaurs, we would still have dinosaurs. It's called the natural ebb and flow of earth. Things constantly change to allow natural evolution of species. Some go away...some change and some new ones are born. There's not one dang thing we can do about it. As for the last Ice age, I'm guessing dinosaur farts...best I can come up with..lol

Isn't the by-product of a nuclear war a nuclear winter. Wouldn't that stop global warming? Not that I want one but seems to me if someone doesn't take care of Iran and soon, the Isrealis will and then we don't have to worry about global warming...ooops...Climate Change!!

Obama has made it quite clear in his statements that the US is no longer the friend to Isreal that we once were. Doubtful they will listen to a spineless politician when it comes to their safety.

HEY...where did CDAL go?...I think it was censored under an assumed name! Nice that someone comes on here and tries to start an argument and when confronted with FACTS runs and hides..typical liberal BS.

  • Isarel are going to be forced to use all of their resources to defend themselves because our President is looking the other way. Before him, at least, our government were backing them and therefore keeping all out world war. Now, I think, this Patsy of a President will do what the enemy have wanted all along, abandon the Jews and wash his hands as Israel is slaughtered or forced to use a nuclear weapon. What kind of chain reaction could that start? (Time 7:14am)
