Copenhagen Climate Calamity

Posted Sunday, November 29, 2009, at 11:39 AM

Update on Copenhagen Treaty. Folks, it has been such an international media Cat n Mouse game. First Obama and the W.H. staff say the trip to Copenhagen is off, then the trip is a possibility, then the trip is off and just as I predicted, close to the departure date, the trip is back on. Obama planned on attending this thing all along. I said it before that his star-hungry image demanded that he attend to prove to the world that he deserved that Nobel Peace Prize; that award that held such prestige in the past with many hard-working true pioneers being recognized. Of course, that is a thing of the past since they cheapened the award by offering it like a trapper offering beads to an Indian. Oh darn, that wasn't very PC, now was it. Ok. Like an animal mercenary offering gifts of goodwill to a Native American in order encourage a mutual friendliness.

Many naysayers pounced on anyone reporting their opinion that the Copenhagen Climate Treaty was a danger to our country. Many poo-pooed it because Obama himself stated that he was not going to attend in order to go receive his award. I even relented and agreed that there was no danger if the King of America was not going to be there. There was a quiet across the land as we all took a sigh of relief. Obama gallivanted around meeting with foreign officials to forge "goodwill" and ignored his own country while healthcare was heatedly debated. He obviously felt that his attention was needed elsewhere. And that walk on the Great Wall of China was certainly of higher importance than the fate of his own people. Perhaps it was while he thought his deep thoughts along that wall, that he chuckled to himself. I'm sure that it is amusing to him that the majority of the people in America don't want the "changes" that he is making, yet it is happening anyways. How powerful that must make him feel. And perhaps it is at that jovial carefree moment, that he made the final decision to go forth to Copenhagen and hand the country off to a Climate Treaty Council. After all, he has reveled in the pleas from all the nations who are desperate to get the treaty signed. (before the truth of this global-warming farce has spread too far) Obama ate it up while he played indifferent in the corner and the other leaders begged him to attend; crying that nothing of this magnitude could ever be passed without his help. He played with them, giving just enough interest to keep them begging until the whole world knew that without him, there was no treaty. How omnipotent he must feel. Graciously, he is responding to their cries. With compassionate tones of global concern, he is letting all of them know that he has heard their pleas and he will show them mercy. With delusions of grander and smiles of glee, Obama will lead the world into global climate change. He will be the beacon of light to the dark undeveloped countries. And to think that this treaty that will change world power forever is based on the lie of man-made global warming. A fairy tale used to perpetuate their agenda therefore proving that Snowball politics is the magic pathway to a one world government.

He'll be there. And he'll sell us out, like the back-stabbing, U.N.-loving socialist he is.

Yes, who is on first and who is on second. I am sure he wanted to get out of DC under the cover of darkness in hopes that nobody would notice.

I am with Bazooka on this issue...he will be there to sell yet another piece of the farm off. Maybe it is better that he is other places rather than the US so much. Imagine what he could do if he spent an entire year in HIS office! Perhaps a plane is the best place for him.

Kim, welcome back. I hope you had a great holiday.

Kim...........Been doing some VHS-to-DVD transcribing over the last few days.

Last night I transferred an old black & white documentary entitled "Mein Kampf". The film was made at LEAST 40 years ago, so there are no political values intended.

This film is made up entirely of actual footage, and I took a couple of still shots that might interest you. I'd be glad to email them to you, if you'd like. If so, please see my better half on your next trip to Wally World and give her your Email address, and I'll shoot them over to you.

"Rich countries must put at least $10 billion a year on the table to kick-start immediate action up to 2012," the U.N. climate chief, Yvo de Boer, told reporters concerning the conference opening next Monday in Copenhagen. French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Britain's Prime Minister Gordon Brown, pledged that their nations would contribute $1.3 billion over three years.

"The rest of Europe will do so," Brown told a Commonwealth summit in Trinidad on Friday. "And I believe America will do so as well." (Herald Tribune.com)

BBC reported that BNP leader, Nick Griffin would be attending the conference though he believes that it is all a farce. In a speech to the European Parliament last week, Mr Griffin called those people who started this global-warming as "anti-western intellectual cranks" and claimed that climate change was "a secular religious hysteria" (BBC.com)

Where does this 10 billion go? What is it for, and WHO gets it?

I know who "gets it" back here............WE DO!

Isn't it interesting, how, throughout your daily travels, it is getting harder and harder to come across people who actually admit to having voted for him?

-- Posted by bazookaman on Wed, Dec 2, 2009, at 5:20 AM

Bazook, I didn't get to see your wife today, though I went by Walmart. I will try again.

-- Posted by kimkovac on Wed, Dec 2, 2009, at 10:21 PM

She's off Wednesdays and Thursdays...........I think her schedule for Friday & Saturday is 10-7 (give or take an hour)

Mike, you are right. If you want good conversation (based on reality and common sense) there really is only 1 place to find it around here. It was good to see you today. My husband made a purchase for me today...the one that we were looking at. Cannot wait to try it out this weekend maybe. Take care my friend. Hope you got those lights done.

Mr. bazookaman,

Sir, it would be an honor and pleasure to meet you. Perhaps we can meet somewhere for coffee. I am off on thurs. and fri. I would really like to meet with you.

Friday might be good, depending on what all transpires next week. Let's look at that.

From the "news" today:

Historic EPA finding: Greenhouse gases harm humans (AP)

AP - The Obama administration took a major step Monday toward imposing the first federal limits on climate-changing pollution from cars, power plants and factories, declaring there was compelling scientific evidence that global warming from manmade greenhouse gases endangers Americans' health.

Geez, ya think? Could he not have remained in the US to learn/figure this out. WOW!!! How long have we known this yet today it is a shock or surprise and something new. I wonder how much it costs to reinvent the wheel. (sarcastic font on this one)

.............and 2 Navy SEALS are being court-martialled for punching a terrorist who HUNG 4 people from a bridge..

These are pukes who BE-HEAD prisoners THEY take.................that's different of course, isn't that right? You lefties out there? Isn't that right?

I understand there's a new directive in the Marine Corps.............."Water-boarding is out....empty the magazine!"

Ya gotta LOVE it!..........(If you're an American).

KRKJR............how does Friday morning look for you? Your choice of time and location.

From our most wonderful POTUS and a bit off topic but:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091208/ap_o...

Spend our way out of the recession! Is that now what put us here, in part, in the first place? From my post on Monday:

"You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt."--Daniel Hannan

Worry how to pay for all of this later. I would like to know when "later" is.

-- Posted by OpinionMissy on Tue, Dec 8, 2009, at 11:09 AM

Ask Gibbs.................he'll tell ya!

-- Posted by bazookaman on Wed, Dec 9, 2009, at 6:19 AM

So Kim...no comments on the new national ID card or the fact that our govt. wants to start a micro-chip program for all of us. My dog needs a micro-chip to make it home safe if lost. Me---I know my way home so there will be no stinking micro-chip put in me. Nor am I for a natl. ID card program.

Thoughts? Comments?

How about Obama telling Israel that all Jews need to leave Bethlehem? That would be like telling all Muslims they must leave the US. How about this deal with the Amero?

Is this thing working? HELLO?!?!?! Mike, Kim, bouncer? Hello?

-- Posted by OpinionMissy on Mon, Dec 14, 2009, at 12:02 PM

This is a good one:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34382653/ns/...

Yearly limits to what a health insurance company has to pay out. Now all we need is limits on how much they can raise rates and limits on what they can REFUSE to pay for after you have paid through the nose to be "covered." Only in America.

-- Posted by OpinionMissy on Mon, Dec 14, 2009, at 3:24 PM

A national ID card could have some use but as with all things they would take it too far. America is the anomaly in the world. Individualist ways are the norm. I support this way of life. I just have noticed that all other developed nations have a lower sense of individuality and personal space. I am not sure why the difference exists.

-- Posted by twilcox1978 on Thu, Dec 17, 2009, at 8:22 AM

This "National I.D. Card" is the prelude to the "mark" in the Bible.

And you can bet that card would have a special chip in it someplace with EVERYTHING there is to know about you.

This is yet one more move by the U.N.

Ever think about why there have been so many things going on since Obama took over..........so many fiascos......one right behind the other?

When you get sniped at from enpough different positions, it's often difficult to see through the smoke at where the real attack is being formulated................and Gibbs out there "running block" through the fog.

I do not BEGIN to trust or respect this regime.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Thu, Dec 17, 2009, at 6:48 PM

Yes sir Mike! Interesting it is indeed.

-- Posted by OpinionMissy on Fri, Dec 18, 2009, at 1:35 PM

Not to be sarcastic, but I doubt that you nor anyone would trust or respect any regime. It has nothing to do with this regime. This isolationist point of view was put in place during the 1700's.

I am not religious so this "Mark" is meaningless to me. This concept has been debated since the 80's so there is nothing to link it to Obama. That may burst the bubble but cold truth has a way of doing that.

Obama simply reached too high. He knew that there were limits to his goals. He thought that he could defy the limits. Those limits are the poor economy and society's overall risk averse nature. As for his economics, him and his experts formulated a plan that was dependent on things working out perfectly. Well that is a pipe dream as all know. Walking the tight rope is usually a recipe for disaster.

Wrong. Dead wrong.

I grew up in a better America than you could ever perceive, Twil. I grew up in a rough neighborhood that far surpasses anything we have now.

I had faith in the D.C. area during the Reagan years, when America had regained her respect, because we had a LEADER.............not just another scumbag politician.

He made us all proud to be Americans again..........he didn't apologize for us, nor BOW to ANYBODY. Any rogue nation that screwed with us would be SLAMMED..............and they knew it.

So did the Russians................isn't that right "Mr Gorbechev?"

There were no "government takeovers" or socialist agendas. One party wasn't SHUT OUT while the other made "behind the door legislation."

Twil, you aren't old enough to remember your own party's JFK......but he too, was a strong President who earned respect...............as in EARNED, not demanded............Kennedy, like Reagan, said what he meant and meant what he said.

Probably the prime reason he was assassinated.

Obama's safe from anything like that, though. As bad as things are now, they'd be WORSE under Biden and Pelosi.

In your case, look at the "mark" as a way of PERMANENTLY being tracked. Tracked, by a government that feels they need to know who you are and WHERE you are 24/7.

There is a difference between being a citizen, and being a subject. If you don't know the difference, your professors aren't doing you any favors.

No Twil.......I've not mis-trusted "every" regime. I am a once-proud American who no longer recognizes the country he's living in. And it makes me SICK!

I've told you before and I'll unabashedly say it again Twil...............if YOU were my age.....

If YOU had lived when I have, (not read or lectured about)

If YOU had seen what I have seen, (not read or lectured about)

If YOU had seen firsthand for YOURSELF, what America once was, and what has been STOLEN out from under us...........only THEN, could you truly see where we are headed.

Hell............you'd probably have been out there with US last summer, marching on the capitol.

There's not a professor in existence, who can see what he needs to see............from behind a book or a podium.

Don't take it wrong Twil.............I'm not picking on you personally and never HAVE. But I'm tellin' ya...........you'd be much better off listening to your grandfather (who HAS lived in AMERICA)......than to these nut-job yuppie "Berkeley" types.

I've lived in Mtn Home for over 20 years. I love my city and my country. Since I am a writer, my decision to blog here seemed appropriate. I enjoy acting so I've been blessed with the opportunity to work on some independent films and with Prairie Dog Productions and Bogus Creek Ranch. I hope that something I have to write about has some value for others or just amuses someone.
