Top Ten Worry List for Friday

Posted Friday, October 2, 2009, at 8:15 AM

1. Unemployment is at 9.8%.

2. Government is now headed to the smaller banks to bail them out.

3. Bank of America-mentioned in another comment that I never liked them, has lost it's CEO. Don't blame him cause it is a smart move. This bank using our country's name has been anything but American. They have worked with ACORN, go figure! They took large sums of federal money, our money and gave big bonuses, yet nobody reacted with the magnatude of outrage that was seen at AIG. Actually, this isn't as much of a worry as a relief that people are withdrawing their money and that bank is feeling it.

4. More reports of schools singing the praises of Obama.

5. Obama's priority list.

6. My home country, England has now revealed a world-altering study that states that children who had too many sweets have become violent adults. Now we understand it! It's time to make Hershey, Nestle and other evil candy companies pay for the crimes of these sweet-tooth criminals!

7. Stores that have buy one and get two free! Come on, people! Think about it. Do you really think that you get anything for free?

8. Letterman reveals that he had sexual relations with women who work on this show. He was being blackmailed. I'm not sure why this even made he list except that it was on TV as I wrote this.

9. Massive weather disasters.

10. Final worry...I have a real concern about the route that healthcare reform is going and if that is not bad enough; my real worry is that no matter what those who oppose it do to stop it, it will happen. I feel helpless and powerless. My friends, that is my worst worry of all.

You're not alone, Kim. These "tea party" functions are just getting under way, and the movement is growing.

There are a lot of D.C. politicians running scared now too, as we see within all the Democrat party infighting.

I think there are going to be a lot of them out of work after the 2010 mid-terms ( if we haven't revolted yet by then), and If Obama loses his Congress, he won't take this country down another step.

On your #10 worry----healthcare------did you see that Democratic goofball Grayson? Stands up in the assembly and says that the Republican plan (by not supporting knucklehead) is for people to QUICKLY DIE!

Unlike Wilson, HE doesn't apologize for that stupid accusation (at least Wilson's turned out to be TRUE). Pelosi doesn't think he needs to.

"Quickly Die', eh?.........from the mouth of a jerk who's OWN party sponsors the killing of people even before they're born!

Don't wory, Kim. They'll "go it alone" as they're saying, when they can't find Republican support for this lunacy..................and then............they ALONE can answer the angry voters when they seek re-election.

Bankrupt the country?................YES WE CAN!

PS.......I wonder if Michelle & Oprah side-hopped to get in some Paris shopping, as long as they had that SECOND jet over there last night? The one we're all paying for! I guess Air Force One isn't big enough for all THREE of them to go to Denmark in one trip, eh?

Life is just FULL of tragedies and complications. Meanwhile, Our commanders, who the Annointed One seldom talks to, have to figure out how to do the impossible, with even LESS. But I'm sure they fully support the 2016 Chicago Olympics bid. THEY understand priorities!

Never heard of this guy named Alex Jones until I was watching some of the YouTube videos. Looked over some of his stuff. Now, that guy has got some worries! Sounds like mama put all her fears into him! (Apologies to Pink Floyd fans) He's completely full of crap, but he can say anything he wants. What a great country!

I lived most of my life in Montana. Still have most of my family over there. I'm sure I would've heard of anything beyond the stories I've provided links to.

-- Posted by DaveThompson on Fri, Oct 2, 2009, at 6:16 PM

Yeah, that WAS a few months ago, but what is the current status? Anybody know?

Dave, does any body in your family live in or around that town?

CBS covered it too.........as did MSNBC, so it ain't just a FOX thing.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Fri, Oct 2, 2009, at 6:33 PM

And the CBS posting was dated only 2 days ago, although the california postings of this outfit forming up like they did at Katrina was a few months ago.

Doesn't matter, really............if it happened at ALL, we'd better not just shuck it off. We ALL saw what happened in New Orleans..........same outfit, and this planned SWINE FLU enforcement up there, is something that HAS to be recent, wouldn't ya think?

I don't have any relatives in Hardin. This difficulties faced by those responsible for this facility have been ongoing.

Holy Crap! You were right bazooka!

Martha Stewart and her evil gang of needle craft thugs are infiltrating small towns across America in order to make us all slaves unto the gods of Yarn. We're doomed!

I saw it on you tube:

Sounds like they already GOT to you.

Unemployment being so high is a natural consequence of the actions undertaken by average Americans and the business world over the last decade. I am not sure that a govt. can rescue that number without harming society in other ways. Expanding the consumption sector would demand tremendous govt. expenditure or major decreases in tax revenue. Neither would resolve the issue in the long term. Any action taken with short term goals in mind will have long term consequences.

-- Posted by twilcox1978 on Mon, Oct 5, 2009, at 9:06 AM

The government doesn't need to "rescue" anybody. The government just needs to STOP THEIR spending habits, and stay OUT of our business.

Anytime the GOVERNMENT gets involved in anything, we end up being worse off than we were before.

-- Posted by bazookaman on Mon, Oct 5, 2009, at 9:35 AM

Just decreases in Govt. spending would not be enough. Yes, that would be nice and it would help. Consumers need to change their ways. All actions by the Business world and govt. are reactions to what consumers want or think that they need.

-- Posted by twilcox1978 on Mon, Oct 5, 2009, at 10:41 AM

No argument there, Twil. A guy knocking down $6.oo an hour, has no business trying to buy a Beverly Hills townhouse, but at the same time, the banks need to protect our deposit money, and NOT be lending it OUT on such ventures.

But the main difference, economically, between you & I, and the government, is that whatever you and I buy, it's OUR money from OUR checkbooks.

When Washington blows it by the BILLIONS.........THIS is our money as well. It does NOT belong to Congress.

You and I do NOT contribute money we don't have, to fund useless projects. You and I don't give money to terrorist nations. You and I don't contribute "bonus" money to inept CEO's for bailouts.

The government spends money like it isn't THEIRS-----which it isn't. If you or I run a little short one month, WE can't just print out some more (unless we're willing to do some prison time).

Would you go to Wally-World and buy a $600.00 hammer? The government buys them by the bushel! (Not from "Wally", but from SOMEBODY.

And this is OUR MONEY.

Everybody needs to show a little responsibility, but I don't want Uncle Sam lecturing ME on how to handle money, when HE spends like a drunken sailor, mostly on crap that YOU and I would NEVER do!..............and it's not HIS to spend.

ESPECIALLY because it's not his to spend. The BEST reason to shut down the "Federal Reserve" & IRS, is to MAKE the government return to the tariff system, sales tax, etc. We got along just fine WITHOUT these thieves for most of our history.

We would still have enough money to run the country..............they would just have to live on a budget like the REST of us have to.

My reply is over on the "One World" blog.

I tire of the blame game. I dont care who is wrong, for the most part. What matters is that people, business, firms, politicians, international leaders need to scale back a bit. I will leave it at that.

-- Posted by twilcox1978 on Mon, Oct 5, 2009, at 2:54 PM

Nearly right. They need to scale back a LOT and Congress needs to STOP!

-- Posted by bazookaman on Tue, Oct 6, 2009, at 7:09 AM

Nearly right. They need to scale back a LOT and Congress needs to STOP!

And we DO need to get OUT of the U.N., and kick them OUT OF HERE..............if we accomplish nothing else as a people............the U.N. needs to go!

I've lived in Mtn Home for over 20 years. I love my city and my country. Since I am a writer, my decision to blog here seemed appropriate. I enjoy acting so I've been blessed with the opportunity to work on some independent films and with Prairie Dog Productions and Bogus Creek Ranch. I hope that something I have to write about has some value for others or just amuses someone.
