By Dan Balz, it don't look good at all! Though the President has suffered opposition from the right all along, even the left is uprising against his healthcare plan. The right doesn't want it at all and the left is mad that Obama is trying to withdraw the public auction. Poor Prez is damned is he does and damned if he doesn't. What a wall he has built. Furthermore, the article reports that "Jane Hamsher, founder of the progressive blog http://firedoglake.com and a harsh critic of the White House strategy on health care, said 'Obama and his team have negotiated themselves into an untenable corner and should not expect the left to bail him out.' The deals the White House has made with drug companies and other health-industry stakeholders, she added, "have neutered their ability to pass any kind of meaningful health care reform. . . . There is no natural constituency for that bill. Blue Dogs don't want it. Republicans don't want it. Progressives don't want it." Obama decided that he better do something fast, so during his weekly radio and internet address he asked for "honest debate" about his healthcare proposals and condemned those who spread rumors that he called, "willful misrepresentations", "outright distortions" and "outrageous myths". He assured the people that it will not cover illegal immigrants, cover abortions nor will the plan have death panels or be a government take-over. Instead, he praised the plan for giving the people "options for security and better care." He cried out with a defensive tone, "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. If you like your plan, you can keep your plan-period." Lie all you want but every doctor and expert will tell you so. Just listen and read what the experts say. Obama is running scared and having secret-closed door meetings to come up with a serious way to stop the wildfire of disapproval. Support is fading so fast that the rats are leaving the sinking ship with fear and panic in their beady little eyes while the captain pleads from the bow to remain calm. So how is the Prez approval rating among his liberals? The numbers are interesting. It went from 95% approval in April sliding to 81% this past week. His own supporters are running for cover as the people of America begin to vocalize their outrage and concern. Town Hall meetings and radio call-in town halls have been overwhelmingly against the policies of the White House. This is a sweet demonstration to our young people showing how effective the people's voices can be. It is a welcome balm to the wounds that many of us have been nursing since this administration came into power. I'm not saying that the fight is over, but when your opposition begins to waver and fall apart, you got to think that this nonviolent protest is working. What a fine example for our kids to see democracy in action. For me, I just enjoy the imaginary of the sinking ship! Sorry, I guess I have a sick sense of humor. I am not sure what happened or why. However, OM was taken off, banned and then re-instated! Yeah!
Gee, all this time I thought all these attacks on our 1st Amendment freedom of speech, came from the government trying to shut down conservative talk radio. I had no idea it had sunk to the local level.
Hey, they can ban ME anytime they so desire. As far as I'm concerned, we've already surpassed the talking point in this country.
And of course, there are some things I'd never put on an unsecured blog anyway.

Boeing built a MARVELOUS airplane back in the early 50's, an eight-engine monster that is still on duty today.
We don't NEED any more "boots on the ground." I'm glad I'm retired, because if I was still on active duty, I'd be court-martialled for insubordination. Having done ONE Vietnam already, I would have REFUSED to do "another one."
Especially when our "leaders" have no guts for winning, turning terrorists back onto the streets, handcuffing our own interrogators, and a would-be "commander-in-chief" who has NEVER served anywhere but Chicago who thinks we should be willing to pay for our own war wounds after doing the dirty work for this country.
Yeah............I would at MINIMUM, be court-martialled.
And to top it all off the top general tells us that there is absolutely NOT ENOUGH troops in country to win the war in Afghanistan. We need to be out of Iraq NOW and Afghanistan as quick as the transports can load 'em. Let the idiots shoot it out amongst themselves and see what turns up. Fortify OUR borders to keep another 9/11 from happening and send the black ops units to take care of the ones we can find threatening us.
Will it happen...HELL NO...Obama no has no more guts than Clinton did to take care of terrorists. How many stories will we see in the future where Obama was given a chance to save lives and took NO action. Much easier to go after our own people..steal their money and imprison those who were trying to make this country safe.
And right now, I'm sorry I wasted a little ammo on water jugs!
I just heard on the news that we released yet ANOTHER terrorist back to his country, with no trial...........just released him.
And at the same time, Attorney General Eric Holder is launching a big investigation on OUR people concerning interrogation techniques.
We continue to release bad guys and go after the good ones.
We need our troops home immediately. There is NO NEED for them to duck any more bullets for this admisistration or any other like it.

We've got Americans DYING over there everyday, and Obama's regime-------because it "doesn't know what to do with GITMO terrorists"-------turns these guys LOOSE again. Obama and all who support him on this should be imprisoned and tried for treason.
Don't say it, Twil..............there is no way to "reason around' or justify this. Our guys are over there spilling blood for someone else's country, and Obama's turning more of them loose.

Hmmm..honesty in government? WHat a fantastic concept. Too bad it won't happen anytime soon. Sitting here watching Fox News this morning and seeing where the white house released new deficit numbers LATE on Friday so they wouldn't be picked up by the news until after the weekend. The numbers had been understated by 2 BILLION DOLLARS!! Now we are in the hole 9 billion bucks. Now Obama is making deals in congress to get Obama Care passed. The only way to pay for all this "FREE" healthcare is to tax the working class. Soooyou lose your insurance through your employer, have to get "FREE" healthcare that you will pay for by losing more of your pay to taxes.
To top it off looks like Obama and his thugs are trying to get rid of all the money sucking leaches going through the VA for health care. Apparently a pamphlet released during the Bush administration (which was pulled later becasue of content) is being pushed onto vets by Obama. It details what you should do with your life if it isn't worth living anymore. Once again Obama is looking to trim down the population that is getting free healthcare so he can help pay for the free healthcare HE proposes. Does any of this make sense?? You eliminate those who are still paying taxes and who have served this country so you don't have to pay for their healthcare. In turn you pay for healthcare for people that aren't paying taxes and have been leaching of the tax payers for years??

Point taken! I think it is pretty ironic that he wants anything honest. He has been caught lying so many times that we would be stupid to believe anything. I heard some sound bites of him about the single-payer insurance. In 2003, I heard him yell that he didn't support it. In 2005, he stated that it would be extrememly hard to get this type of healthcare but he thought that over time it could be done, and the last recording was this year stating that he did support it. My goss, does he not know that all of his speeches are recorded? This has happened so many times, lies and retracting and more lies. There is no Honesty with him.
Obama asked for "HONEST" debate? How would HE be able to participate?.....or anybody ELSE in the left side of congress? (and a few on the right).
