Science Czar: John Holdren

Posted Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at 8:50 AM

John Holdren was the Teresa and John Heinz professor at environmental policy at the Kennedy school of government at Harvard University. Coauthored a book in 1977 on population control called Eco science. He wrote it with Ann and Paul Ehrlich who wrote- Eco science Quote from book: Paul Ehlich, Holdren's buddy said, "I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000. He said that in 1969." In 1970 Ehlich said, "in ten years all important animal life in the sea will be extinct. Large areas of the coastline will have to be evacuated because of the stench of dead fish." This is who Holdren's friends are! So let's see what has our new science czar said in his scientific past. Well, of course, it seems that the big scientific consensus back in the Seventies was that overpopulation was going to destroy the Earth. He said, "Adding a sterility drug to drinking water or staple foods is a suggestion that seems to horrify people more than most proposals for involuntary fertility control." Oh my, back then it wouls seem to horrify??? I'm horrified now! He has encouraged the idea of the government adding a sterilant to drinking water or staple foods."

Don't believe it? Well there are companies who have been developing this exact science. One is company is Epicyte. It's a biotech company that was putting sterilization into food. Read it for yourself, (Scientists Create GM Corn Which Prevents Human Conception, Robin McKie, Science Editor, The Observer -- London, September 9, 2001) This idea was for the corn-eating man to unknowingly become sterile because the drug implanted in the corn would attack the sperm cells. And so it would be birth control through food. Holdren says, "To be acceptable, such a substance would have to meet some rather stiff requirements. It must be uniformly effective." And you can't kill off one race of people and not another. Wouldn't want to inadvertently sterilize the pigs or other animals that eat corn, right? "Despite widely varying doses received by individuals and despite varying degrees of fertility and sensitivity among individuals, it also must be free of dangerous or unpleasant side effects and it must not affect members of the opposite sex, children, old people, pets, or livestock." Okay, so we can control population by making men sterile. That's the idea! Seems to me that if we did that, not only would the problem of food storages be solved but I guess man would kill off themselves.

Let's continue with more of our Science Czar's brilliance. "Of course, a government might require only implantation of a contraceptive capsule." Well, that is harmless and many women have opted to do this, right? But here is where it really get's sorta Twilght-zone, Brave-New-World-like. The government can require the implantation of some sort of a capsule in you as a contraceptive, but you can decide to have it medically removed at your own expense. (which would be too expensive for most people) However, his plan is to have it mandatory that the gov't put it back in after having a baby. Here's another quote from our new science czar: "Responsible parenthood ought to be encouraged and illegitimate child bearing should be strongly discouraged. One way to carry out this disapproval might be to insist that all illegitimate babies be put up for adoption, especially those born to minors who generally are not capable of caring properly for a child alone. It would even be possible to require pregnant single women to marry or have an abortion perhaps as an alternative to placement for adoption depending on the society." Well, there you have a little taste of the future. For me, this Czar gets a repeated thumbs down. Watch out, America! The brave new world is at hand! (time 7:47am)

I knew I wasn't alone on this.............

In those countries, the situation is a bit different. I wont bore everyone but their societies have accepted being socialized and so have expectations. To meet those expectations, the population has to remain steady or grow. They are declining. They do not have enough young labor and so have to import workers. This is unpopular but roads dont build themselves as we all know.

I am a lifelong resident of the area and I remember when Boise only had about 30000. I am not sure that I like the present state of things. I am always surprised that Mtn. Home grew as it did because it is one of the least scenic places that I have ever been.

I agree that a lot of this growth is all in the name of the dollar. This growth may be inevitable but I am not sure if it is "needed".

I can tell you THIS, Twil...........when I was first stationed here in Mountain Home, the population was just a hair over 3400 people, and it was a LOT nicer place to live than it is now.

The stores weren't packed, the streets weren't congested, there wasn't spraypaint grafitti, you actually COULD go on vacation and leave your house unlocked, and the police blotter section of the MHN didn't run column after column after column.

You could see the MOUNTAINS, and NOT the back of the new condo being built by the developers, section after section around this town.

This "needed growth" is packing in people from everywhere, and is gradually going to turn this town into another Meridian.

"Oh, the water table is just fine"....say THEY.....but you'll notice they're talking about alternate watering days now...

........and they are STILL building homes to entice buyers from California and wherever ELSE they think they can make that "almighty dollar."

Less population is a GOOD thing. Ask some of the old-timers around here if they like what Mountain Home has become.

As for Russia, Germany and Japan............................gee whiz, without the old steady infusion of "mad money", I guess the bureaucrats over there will just have to start living on a BUDGET like everyone else, eh?

Agreed, and there are 5 or 6 of them in Congress right now.

Lowering the population is not the panacea to all problems. Germany, Russia, and now Japan are being faced with the issue of not having enough population to support their proud countries.

C'mon BM, sterilizing liberals. there are lots of non-liberals who are a perfectly good waste of sperm and oxygen molecules as well so why not sterilize them as well.

Yeah............Van Horn is who I meant to comment on.

Long long day yesterday. Should have hit the sack last night instead of logging in on this thing.

They ARE still crooks though.............all of 'em!

OOPS..............I'm very tired after today............SO tired that I posted this last comment on the wrong Czar!

Doesn't matter much, though. They're ALL crooks or they wouldn't have been appointed.

PS...........I understand this guy not only has a criminal record, but confesses to being a one-time communist as well.

This would be keeping in line with Obama's continuing inability to make wise choices of who he surrounds himself with.

Makes sense though, in a way........on Obama's part.

A criminal record falls pretty much in good company with his "Chicago connection"

and.............

When you're pushing a socialist agenda spearheaded by government control, who BETTER to help you than a "former" Communist?............if there IS such a thing!

They should start with the sterilization of the liberals who support all of this.

50-60 years later, the country should be all better!

I am commenting on my own blog! I forgot to give my hand approval for the Green Czar or the Science Czar. Since both remind me of Nazi terrorists, I give them both a big "THUMBS DOWN! The Green Giant wants to further his own race, excluding the "white-oppression" which certainly seems like a reverse Nazi idea. and nobody cares because it's not like he thinks the white race needs aboost. That would be racist! and the science Nazi just wants to give animals rights because they are more precious than us. And he wants to figure out ways to keep the population down. Everyone can be targeted for sterilization! Woman on welfare with kids or every unwed teenage pregnant girl gives him justification to sterilize them. And every woman who is married with a child should be implanted with a contraceptive device. But it's not a loss of freedom cause those women who are rich and can afford it are more than welcome to have it surgically removed to have a child but would be required to have it re-implanted after birth. Has anyone read what this man has written about? Does anyone know who Obama has given power to? People need to know and respond with outrage! (time: 6:50)

I've lived in Mtn Home for over 20 years. I love my city and my country. Since I am a writer, my decision to blog here seemed appropriate. I enjoy acting so I've been blessed with the opportunity to work on some independent films and with Prairie Dog Productions and Bogus Creek Ranch. I hope that something I have to write about has some value for others or just amuses someone.
