Live or Die? Not your decision?!

Posted Thursday, June 25, 2009, at 8:11 AM

President Obama states he will pass healthcare reform in 2010. He said that if you like your insurance, then keep it. But the research shows that is not the case. If there is nationalized health care, the private insurance companies will no longer exists due to being squeezed out. You will be left to take the national insurance coverage where you will pay more and get less. The major insurance companies will be run out of business.

Furthermore, I have stated before that nationalized healthcare (socialized medicine) will become like a health star chamber where doctors and political "yes" men will decide who lives and dies. If you are too old or have a terminal disease, it will be more cost effective to let you die. They are already talking about it on the news. A statement made, "My grandmother needs a hip replacement and she's has terminal cancer, does she get the surgery?" The implied answer is, "No" because they go on to talk about expensive treatment being given to people who are too old or have lost their usefulness to society. (sound familiar?) Doctors at the Mayo clinic said, "We are just prolonging their death." Yes, it is a brave new world.

1.6 trillion dollars will get us all medical insurance with little choice, less coverage, simple solutions to complex treatment, waiting list for procedures, denial of treatment based on probabilities or age and one huge sure-fired increase in our taxes. Now there is reform! Healthcare reform is being perpetrated by perpetuated by ill-informed media and furthered by many misguided economists. Today they are reporting $3.5 trillion for this wonderful health plan.

"Now is the time for all who value control of their own health decisions, access to highly trained subspecialty doctors of their own choosing, and continued advances in safer, more effective treatments to recognize what they are about to lose. The impending shift of power from patients and their doctors to government bureaucrats under the guise of reducing costs may be the greatest Trojan horse in American history. This would mark the end of health care as we knew it. " By Scott W. Atlas, MD

Senior Fellow, Hoover Institution, and Professor, Stanford University Medical Center

Discussions about healthcare reform are one-sided and those who oppose it are not allowed a say at any official discussion. In the TV media, though ABC said it would be fair and balanced, refused to allow anyone who opposes to be represented nor did they allow advertising from the opposition.

"And the President, as always, hopes that most Americans will do nothing more than skim the surface. That way he can continue to use his amazing rhetorical skill to continue to hoodwink the public into accepting completely irrational balderdash." Anthony G Martin, columnist, Columbia Conservator Examiner

The hype is that if the government had a low-cost insurance plan that competed against the private insurance companies, then people would have a choice. What it really means is this scenario: Say that clothing was too expensive and the govt. decided that we needed to form a nationalize clothing company to give the people low-cost clothes. It would provide clothing at half the price. Where do you think a person would buy their clothing? Now, everyone is lured to buy the govt clothes so Sears, JCPennies and Walmart are run out of business so that the only place you can buy clothes is with the govt. company. The government would immediately corner the market. The govt will have all the money, the power, and the resources to completely bury private corporations. Death to free enterprise! Death to real choices. You get what the company provides. They decide if you can buy crop pants or jeans! What if they decided that everyone should only wear polyester! OMG!

"And this is precisely why Obama's critics are 100% correct when they say that his plan to start a government insurance corporation that will 'compete with private insurers' will drive those private insurers out of business in short order. The plan is designed to do exactly that. And what's left will be nothing but the government's corporation, forcing all Americans into a centralized, government-controlled 'single-payer' health plan modeled after European styled socialism." Anthony G Martin said.

This reform is a huge trojan horse that will lure people in with promises of low-cost quality care, while inside the belly of the horse sits all the power-hungry democrates waiting to take control of the lives of the people. (time 7:10am)

I'm still trying to figure out what the hell Joe Biden meant when he said the other day that we need to SPEND more to fix all this.

If you owed a huge debt, would you go even FURTHER into debt to try and pay it off? They are still spending our money like drunken sailors while telling US we have to be more frugal.

What McCain might have done would be interesting. As a liberal himself, he might have WANTED to do something along the Obama lines, but had he WON, there's also a chance the Congress would have been more balanced than it is NOW..............which would mean........

He would NOT have gotten support from the REAL Republicans, just as Obama didn't while pushing these massive tax bills, and in a tie-breaker, Palin would NOT have voted for anything as foolish as what's going on right now.

People have bantered that Sarah didn't do the ticket any good, but the truth IS, McCain has NEVER had the old GOP base on his side, and had he NOT picked her to run with him, he wouldn't have gotten as many votes as he DID manage to get.

NONE of us hardcore right wingers were going with him PRIOR to his picking her.

I was one of the seven Elmore County GOP delegates at the convention in Sandpoint last year, and I can tell you first hand, that John McCain didn't have the support from OUR side that Obama had from HIS. There was CONSIDERABLE Ron Paul support, from a lot of us who do not consider McCain to be "one of us."

I'll say THIS for McCain though, even though I've never liked him............HE would NEVER have apologized, bowed down, and suggested that G.I.'s pay for their own health insurance. He isn't a socialist, and would NOT have pursued any such doctrine.

We agree on your last point, though, Twil...........I too hope this trend continues. If so, the numbers in Congress should do a sharp turn-around in 2010, and Obama will be a 1-term President.

There is also something surfacing in Congress about Obama's citizenship via a Congressional probe that the Dems are scrambling right now to keep a lid on. If it pans out to be true, even his beloved press won't be able to save his butt this time.

It's gonna get interesting!

Americans have already done their best to anger these types. The rate at which we are saving money and not spending has increased and shows no sign of faltering. That does not fit into the plan. On the flip side, McCain would have done something similar and been frustrated by this development as well. I hope that the trend continues.

I put nothing past this bunch. Too much has ALREADY gone down in way too short a time to suit me!

Seems like almost every other week, one more bank or industry is being taken over. Anoth 20 or 30 billion is going someplace it shouldn't.

Every month, some new gigantic bill is being passed that our grandkids will have to pay for.

Heck, out in California, the state is passing out "IOU's" to the people.

Obama can't understand why military personnel aren't "patriotic enough" to help pay for their own medical needs..after all, they "VOLUNTEERED" for the job, didn't they?

But Joe Biden told us it IS "patriotic" to pay higher taxes, and he said it on national television.

The "earmarks" that would no longer exist, have INFESTED themselves in every bill passed by this "transparent government."

And Obama's "95% of Americans" slated to get "tax cuts", are about to be hammered wih the biggest tax hike in hostory.

This new ACORN-enhanced census thing, really shouldn't surprise ANYBODY, That "Big Brother is Watching You" slogan of yesterday is proving itself to be true, almost on a daily basis.

Hang on, Twil...............keep a sharp eye on your wallet and watch this giant soap opera unfold.

I have a hard time believing that they will strictly enforce this. Reading this, It seems that someone in the Cabinet wants to be the Hero. Evidently, officials did not accurately gauge this economic crisis and so now want to be the hero by gleaning max info from the public. This person(s) feels they can rise to the top by "scientifically" obtaining the most pertinent info and then instituting policy from it. The Census was good enough already, in my opinion. Well, we shall see how it goes.

Well..............they DID say they were the party of "change", didn't they? And boy are we SEEING it so far.

Here's US Code for the fine for not filling out your census.

According to the website of the U.S. Census Bureau:

Respondents are required to answer all questions on the American Community Survey (ACS) to the best of their ability. Response to this and other Census surveys is required by law (Section 221 of Title 13, Chapter 7, United States Code). This chapter also contains information regarding offenses and possible penalties. According to Section 221, persons who do not respond shall be fined not more than $100. Title 18 U.S.C. Section 3571 and Section 3559, in effect amends Title 13 U.S.C. Section 221 by changing the fine for anyone over 18 years old who refuses or willfully neglects to complete the questionnaire or answer questions posed by census takers from a fine of not more than $100 to not more than $5,000.

Note where it says you must answer ALL questions. Then they add new and very interesting questions. Hmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!

From the government themselves.....funny how they try to defend their postion for asking the questions. Anyone want to see how much this cost to produce?

The $5,000 fine was reported on FOX news, and I'll be one of the first ones they can TRY it on! It's disgusting enough that ACORN will have a hand in it, but the census.............to MY understanding at least, is supposed to be a verification of population..............NOT "how much is your income, what time do you go to work, etc." And these are supposedly just TWO of the 28 questions.

My answer will basically be "TWO people live here.

Period.

I want more proof of this $5000 fine before I bite onto that lure. Sorry, sensationalist right-wing types are in my family tree and 99% of their prophecies or declarations are better suited for the National Enquirer than actually being given credence.

I am 100% against nationalizing health care. I am not sure how to go about challenging this but I will do what I can. Those in the health care field will see their wages drop and the quality of care is going to decline. I will not bore the rest of you with why's and how's being that it has been articulated before. Anyways, I feel that it is Obama trying to be the White Knight. I applaud him taking initiative but this seems a bit rushed. Americans dont need a suit-and-tie crusader to come to the rescue. Or at least I would hope that we can rescue ourselves and not need government intervention.....

It SHOULD, Kim. Because it's actually happened before and anyone with 20-20 vision and a brainwave can see the whole nasty mess unfolding yet once again.

Except of course, for the Obama supporters, who are pre-programmed as to what NOT to see. (Which includes the mainstream media).

And that new "Confederate Party".........who's "hidden agenda" is actually to round up all the blacks and send them back to Africa, (That business of saving America from our government, illegals, terrorists and foreign country takeovers.........is all just a RUSE. They don't really see what's coming either.

It's all about the blacks..............yeah, that's it! Ask AD about that.

But back to the main subject, what is happening RIGHT NOW..from the government takeover of one entity after the other and their proposed National Health Care System, is something the world has seen BEFORE. And remember the old adage about NOT learning from history?

This "energy bill", if passed, will nearly tax the American people out of existence (remember that campaign promise of "tax breaks for NINETY-FIVE percent of Americans?)

Come on Ex-Intern, jump in here and straighten us all out on this one, ol'buddy!

And of course, if one wants to jump from Hitler's time to 2009, one only needs to ask a Canadian about their "ideal" health care system Obama and friends want to pattern OURS after.

And did you hear the latest, Kim?...............we're all supposed to get a 28-page census questionairre next year, that contains a myriad of personal questions which are NONE of the government's business. Supposedly, if you don't fill it all out, you are subject to a $5,000 fine. Does that sound like the America we grew up in?

But, what does the old Bazookaman know? Hell, I'm just a "right wing radical, an extremeist and a retarded paranoid racist."

OM: My thoughts on how this new healthcare reform could have helped Farrah, Jackson or Ed is this...they were rich enough that they would have had excellant care outside the US. those of us who are middle class and below will dye young. So as to decrease the surplus population. Bah Humbug!

Bazooka, I don't like the sounds of my voice when I read your comment. It gave me shivers.

Boy...Farrah, Jackson and Ed all within a week. I wonder how this program would have helped any of these 3 people?

I've lived in Mtn Home for over 20 years. I love my city and my country. Since I am a writer, my decision to blog here seemed appropriate. I enjoy acting so I've been blessed with the opportunity to work on some independent films and with Prairie Dog Productions and Bogus Creek Ranch. I hope that something I have to write about has some value for others or just amuses someone.
