Historic Opera Theatre

Starting Friday, June 12 the new season of dinner theatre opens at the great Glenns Ferry Opera Theatre. I highly recommend that everyone take a night to escape from the worries of life and enjoy some laughter for a spell. This is a group of volunteer actors who come together to entertain without a hidden political agenda. Visit the website: http://www.glennsferrytheatre.org/

It is nothing but pure all American fun at an affordable price. Friday nights will be "let him sleep 'til it's time for his funeral" This is a great comedy murder mystery that will keep you guessing while tickling your funny bone. Saturday nights will be the melodrama, "Blazin Guns at Roaring Gulch" The stage will be set for mistaken identity, children singing, evil plans, budding romance and good overcoming evil in a slap-stick hilarious conclusion. Doors open for dinner @ 6:30 p.m.; Show time 7:45 p.m. You can come for dinner or just for the show.

I will be opening June 20 playing as the Widow Black, the evil owner of the Roaring Gulch Hotel. This is a classic western melodrama where you cheer the good guys and hiss at the bad guys. There are children, teenagers and adults dressed in period costumes showing their enormous talent for comedy for the sake of the people. Sweating from the heat of the lights, the actors are dedicated to entertaining with an old-fashioned sense of service to the community. Our purpose is to delight you with silly antics that will raise your spirits. It is just what the doctor ordered! Come supply yourself with the healthy medicine of laughter. Hope to see you there!

I recomend that everyone go to the Glenns Ferry Opera Theatre and experience what they have to offer. Fun, good food, laughter, and most of all - fun night out.

I know that I for one am looking forward to going and having a good time. I've seen Kim in other productions, and I have to say, she is good. I'm not being biased here. I never was one for the theatre, but I will admit I am turning into a theatre goer. Fun for the whole family.

I've lived in Mtn Home for over 20 years. I love my city and my country. Since I am a writer, my decision to blog here seemed appropriate. I enjoy acting so I've been blessed with the opportunity to work on some independent films and with Prairie Dog Productions and Bogus Creek Ranch. I hope that something I have to write about has some value for others or just amuses someone.
