A shiny new car

Posted Friday, February 6, 2009, at 11:55 PM

So the mainstream media is in love with President Obama and he can do no wrong. I am amazed at what he is able to do without a smidge of criticism. If Bush or any other president had done as poorly as this guy has done the first month in office, the press and everybody would be crucifying him. Yet nobody would ever be so bold. I mean, it would be a career-damaging thing if you spoke against the man. Yes, I realize that anyone who speaks against this man will be shunned and ridiculed. I know that I will be viewed as a horrible person for saying anything. I shouldn't worry that I could lose my job for speaking my mind. This is still America, right? I am still under the impression that we are free to express ourselves, right? So on that I stand firm! I will express what I think and hold on fast to the idea that my right to free speech is still my right. Yet, I will admit that I do fear! I do worry as I write this. I never imagined that I would ever fear speaking my mind. This feeling of insecurity is the entire reason that I am making myself write. FEAR! I am more than a little afraid of what is happening and what is going to happen to this nation.

This President and his Clinton recycled peopled are currently putting together a massive plan to put our future so far in debt, it will cause our children to pay half of their income in taxes! Everything that the government is doing brings us closer and closer to changing the face of our democracy. The democrats (most not all) want the people to be taken care of by our elected officials in the disguise of "helping" when in fact it is nothing but a road to dependency. Which leads to bondage!

Obama is not the savior but the vehicle for change. A absolute change in the government of the country that our forefathers gave their lives to protect. He is a charming ineffected puppet that owes his life to the thousands of power-hungry people who put him into office. He is a new president with nice speeches that surrounded himself with Clinton cronies. He talked about change and I realize that he was telling the truth about that. CHANGE is exactly what he is all about though the cronies that are pulling his strings plan the changes to be nothing close to the utopia that they want us to think it is. Actually, I see Obama like this. He is a shiny beautiful car, with all the bells and whistles of seduction with an ancient worn-out engine of rusty parts, frayed belts, black scummy oil, tainted gas and supported with a set of bald tires. I wonder how great the performance of this vehicle will be when the big storm hits. Perhaps those bald tires will send him hydroplaning off the road of hope into a ditch of despair. The minute the storm plows hard rain onto that shiny body and the engine bogs down under the strain of defective parts, that new car will not go very far.

Love your blog and Ken's too. You two have obviously NOT been asleep like so many others, and you're exactly right, Kim.

When it all finishes going wrong, the Democrats are going to be in a panic, spinning around in their tracks, once again looking for someone other than themselves to blame. But there will BE no one else. They have total control, They have what they wanted, and when they can't deliver their empty promises, they are in for the pasting of their lives.

Which unfortunately doesn't do the REST of us any good, because we'll end up getting caught in Obama's mess like everyone else.

I wrote a letter to the editor about HR 45, which didn't get printed and probably won't, (the MHN is leaning more and more to the left as time goes on),but check it out when you get time.

If you REALLY want to see "SNEAK", check out the newly-proposed SIX forty five...(HR 645). Not surpisingly, BOTH 45 and 645 are sponsored by Democrats.

With their perceived "savior" in the Oval Office, they are wasting no time pushing old agendas while the votes and signatures are there to do the damage.

No, when you GET to 645, look beyond the surface. They speak of spending millions to build "safety shelters" for disaster victims on military bases. Have you ever heard of disaster shelters with guard towers? They must think we're all morons. (and apparently, MANY of us ARE......Obama managed to get elected).

The war on terrorism should rightfully begin with Washington D.C. The biggest enemies our country have, are in the White House and in that Congress.

Thanks for posting this blog Kim........not only because your blogs are good.....very good, as are Ken's.....but because it's taking forever to scroll down on a couple of Ken's......Bouncer and Jacknife have been waging war for awhile down there!

I'm with bouncer, of course, both of us being Americans, and I want to publicly thank you and Ken for your POSITIVE contributions, and NOT being reluctant to speak the truth. If the liberals out there don't like it...........tough, ain't it!

Keep it going, you two.......you've got allies out here. Disregard the nitwits, you'll ALWAYS have a few of them around.

Kim, where in the heck have you been girl! Glad to see you back and I love what you write. It is a shame when a person has to worry about their job or their local elected/appointed officials going on the attack (the need to get "even") for what they have to say---but it does happen and a lot here in Elmore County. However, you cannot be afraid. Fear feeds these people and their cause. Keep up the good work! I agree with you and Ken 100%. No matter what Obabma does...it will always be Little B's fault that things did not work out. Never mind that this mess has been created over more than 20 years. It is always the fault of another. Nice to see you back. Keep up the good work you 2. Take care!

Great to have a new blog to talk about. Thanks Kim! Let Ken know I'll hopefully be out and about so he can sing karaoke with me again.

Now about this shiny new car. I think you're nearly correct..it is a car but not shiny and new. It's the old beater the Democraps have been driving for years. It's just that this time they took it to Maaco and got a cheap paint job to cover all the damage. But once you look inside or lift the hood it's the same ol' junker that's been in their driveway for years. Nothing has changed, still makes the same noise it did be for the cover up. Still stinks and runs like it's on it's last leg. Bet the trunk is still full of garbage too.

But don't let that be a downer, the Republicans car is old too and needs to be replaced. The new car they brought out for the initial show was kept in the garage and not allowed to show what she could truly do. Hopefully the way the Republicans car ran will be a wake up call to let the new car out and run over, around and past the Democraps hunk of crap in the next election!

As a younger conservative, I'm ready for someone who isn't afraid to speak her mind. Someone who will toss the garbage out of Washington no matter what party. I think anyone who's favorite food is moose stew has to be alright. Not to mention she hunts, flies her own plane and thinks there's too many wolves in her state. Hopefully the tree huggers up in Stanley don't get wind of this...they'll be screaming for them to be brought here. At least they would be American wolves as opposed to the Canadian ones they got last time. I'd invite Sarah down here to good old Mountain Home and let her show Bazooka how a lady shoots....lol.

I can here the typing now from Ex and Jerknife. Me speaking about Sarah Palin being on the ballot next time as the President has probably got them both tied in knots. But I'd prefer to vote for someone who would rather piss you off telling the truth than to lie to you just to get elected. Does she have faults, sure, but who doesn't...well except for the two above mentioned liberals.

That's the problem with BHO....he was too perfect. When something is that perfect there has to be a flaw that someone is working over time to hide. Hence the new paint job on the car. But now the paint is starting to flake, no pun intended, and the news media that so adored him is not starting to treat him like any other president. Problem is he gave them everything they wanted so they would report all the good things about him. Now they want the same access and he doesn't have to play that game. He's the president and can't be bothered with them now. When BHO has cue cards and speech writers he's pretty damn good. But off the cuff he has NO CLUE. Seems to be a common thread with liberals. They don't have a coherent opinion that wasn't given to them. They've proven that several times since the inauguration. Not only that, but now when the press "ambush" him with questions in the hallway, he gets belligerent and talks down to them. Like he's scolding children for talking out of turn. As we move on into the rest of these 4 years I'm sure we sill see the true Obama. The one John McCain and Sarah Palin warned us about. But Obama was the Pied Piper leading the rats to their inevitable doom.

I could be wrong but I bet I'm not. Wait and see.

And Bazooka, if I get Sarah down here to go shooting would you wanna go?...lol

My wife told me I could be wrong about the wolves. they could be illegal immigrants from Canada seeking refuge from that socialist country.

Anytime, Bouncer. I love shooting with people who look after our rights. A friend of mine was in Alaska just last year, and he told me he'd found out two things about Sarah Palin while he was up there...................

She hunts deer with a 270, and uses a 30.06 for moose.

MY kind of President! I hope she runs next time around, if there's anything left to run FOR.

I am a very very intuitive person. I took one look at Sarah Palin and I knew that she was going to be someone important. Then after listening to her a few minutes, I knew that my instincts were right. She is everything (as far as I can see and feel)that I want in a leader. She gets it! Not only does she understand exactly what this country needs; she actually tells it to anyone who will listen. She knows that in order to do the right thing, she will have to walk through the valley of dark shadows, fight off the media monsters and keep praying for strength. I love that woman! She is my choice for next election!

And I nominate Kim to run as her Vice-President

-- Posted by mhbouncer on Mon, Feb 9, 2009, at 5:39 PM

Bouncer, I am honored to be nominated. As the day draws near, I will consider my options. I may need a good campaign manager.

-- Posted by kimkovac on Tue, Feb 10, 2009, at 12:09 AM

I'll SECOND that nomination!

Fun to read your blog, Kim.....bazookaman, glad to see you're back...even if it is only under the 'comments'.

-- Posted by outtathere on Tue, Feb 10, 2009, at 3:55 PM

Kim I would be honored to work for two intelligent ladies. And unlike what happened to Sarah the first time around I'll turn you loose like pitbulls in lipstick on the liberals.

And you know, Bouncer, two women would be EXTREMELY good for the economy! They don't waste money on goofy stuff, and they don't let US blow it either, on frivelous projects. They are VERY good with a checkbook!

Could you see congress with an allowance?....OMG the horrors of it all!!

-- Posted by mhbouncer on Wed, Feb 11, 2009, at 7:05 PM

I can't see Congress, PERIOD! They should ALL be impeached, and re-start with a whole new team.

I've lived in Mtn Home for over 20 years. I love my city and my country. Since I am a writer, my decision to blog here seemed appropriate. I enjoy acting so I've been blessed with the opportunity to work on some independent films and with Prairie Dog Productions and Bogus Creek Ranch. I hope that something I have to write about has some value for others or just amuses someone.
