Its time again

It seems to help in Nov 2010 so it may again in 2012 it can help. Like the old bar room saying engage your brain before your mouth and lets get it right this time. We can't handle another 4 years of this failed plan. The video says it all, forget that "D" and "R" and do what is right to get the Country back on track. Come on people I think most of you can think for yourselves and know what needs to be done, so do it, don't use your grandparents or parents the way they did things for years. We have to look at these people running and sort thru their lies and put the best there is to offer in place. Think, Think, Think before you marked that ballot.

MY POINT EXACTLY....VOTER ID YES....document procurment and on with the show.The conservative organizations were the ones complained about that's all.The should observe and let the chips fall were they may.

The incidents you speak of was the last election and the grievances committed by acorn and the by signature way of paying there canvesares.You speak as if this is ongoing and it is not.I wish that the whole thing would be brought forth and not half.Please bear in mind that there are as many conservative groups who have been practicing voter fraud also,this is not a one way street.

Guess you skipped over paragraph 1, which states ( election monitors around the United States on Election Day in an effort to monitor conservative groups for voter suppression or intimidation at polling places.) why just the conservative groups the UN, ACLU, and NAACP see the liberals do NO Wrong. Somebody hasn't been paying attention to what the Libs have been doing, registering dead people to vote, register their pets and sure as heck don't want laws that require a photo ID to vote. Yes the UN is one of the big problems of the world, they have got to the point they want to control the world. I just don't see any foreign country sticking their nose into our elections. I don't remember what countries have been invited already, they weren't listed in the article I dug up from what I saw on the news, India was one of them and there was 2 more. Also we don't need to monitor other countries, you can see how well that has worked out in Iraq, Libia and the other countries we stuck our nose into. I will agree States waited until the last minute to pass laws on the Photo ID's but you have to start someplace and once this Nov election is over they get back to it and all the States get involved, we can't trust the Federal Government to fix the problem .

That is a deceptive statement. The Obama campaign lawsuit resulted in the expansion of the extended voting period for all Ohio voters, and did not deprive military voters of any opportunity to vote early. All Ohio residents benefit equally.

Not going to argue the point this is what was put into print:

The United Nations-affiliated Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe will deploy election monitors around the United States on Election Day in an effort to monitor conservative groups for voter suppression or intimidation at polling places.

Led by Ambassador Daan Everts, the election monitors will include a total of 57 international experts and observers -- 13 placed in Washington, D.C. and 44 placed at polling places on other cities.

The monitors, from Europe and central Asia, will not limit their observation to noting possible violations of U.S. and sate election law. They will also "assess these elections for compliance with international obligations and standards for democratic election" and "conduct comprehensive monitoring of the media," according to a press release. Additionally, "the mission will meet with representatives from relevant federal and state authorities and political parties, as well as with candidates, and with representatives from the judiciary, civil society and the media."

While the international organization has assessed elections since 2002 and insists that U.S. authorities have "invited" this mission, the U.N. affiliate received significant pressure from liberal organizations such as The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the ACLU and the NAACP.

According to The Hill, the groups penned a letter to Ambassador Daan Everts this month to express concerns about "a coordinated political effort to disenfranchise millions of Americans -- particularly traditionally disenfranchised groups like minorities." The groups also met with Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe representatives in Washington Tuesday to further express this fear.

"We attended their meeting, we took note of the issued they raised and we asked our observers in the field to follow up on them," said OSCE spokeswoman Giovanna Maiola in an e-mailed statement to The Hill.

The liberal U.S. organizations complained about voter ID laws and early voting restrictions, which they believe may negatively affect minorities, low-income Americans, the elderly and women. They specifically requested election monitors be sent to Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida, Ohio and Texas.

Most of those states passed new voter restriction laws in the months leading up to the presidential election, meeting with differing levels of success in the courts.

In Pennsylvania, a judge concluded a new law requiring photo identification to vote was non-discriminatory and reasonable, but ruled that it could not be enforced in time for the November 6 election. In Florida, the state succeeded in purging voter rolls of non-citizens and reducing the early voting period, but judges blocked provisions restricting voter registration.

The Obama campaign prevailed in Wisconsin and Ohio, with the Wisconsin Supreme Court refusing to review a Republican-backed voter ID law that was invalidated by lower courts. The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal of Ohio's plan to limit an extension of early voting deadlines for military voters only.

Foreign observers are granted selective access to polling stations in the U.S., forcing organizations like OSCE to rely on being granted permission from state and local officials to monitor polling places. OCSE plans to publish its initial findings November 7, one day after the election, with a final report on the entire electoral process coming two months later.

I believe that if the U.S. expects other nations to adhere to standards for free and open elections, the U.S. should be monitored just as those other nations may be.

Industries benefit from sharing knowledge and developing technological standards that result in benefits to all of us.

The same holds true for democracy. Observers will come here from other nations and take the best practices they find in our elections process back to their home nations and adopt those they see fit.

We need to know if elections in countries, like Egypt for example, have been conducted fairly. And nations where, for decades, citizens haven't had the right to participate in free and open elections would benefit from observing the best in action.

HOLD on eagle eye forgien countries have been for years been invited to monitor our elections why are you so up in arms now.IT also striks me that you only mention those organizations who lean left.Some of the biggest inviters are right leaning states what is your problem??????I did not have that birth certificate until 1961 I had to get a passport,going to japan.IT was spendy then I hate to think what it is now. I don't care how you want to cut it, you take any organization whether the ACLU, or NAACP, Acorn, ANYONE that wants to stick there fingers in this countries voting it stinks. For the ACLU or NAACP to call on the UN to bring a foreign country into our polls to monitor the voting is a bunch of bull from the word go. This Country has been doing it for alot of years without outside help and we don't need them now either. I am also in favor of having to show a photo ID to vote, Those that don't have one need to get one and I am not interested in excuses. Lamont you found out when it came Social Security time without a Birth Cert you had problems, people need to get their ducks lined up and get what it takes to vote or retire and get Social Security. and not wait until the last minutes. The lawes are changing and there is going to be more changes. The Military people know how important their DD 214 is and they need to get their act together on a Birth Cert also. There is other paper work out there that is very important to an individual and they just don't pay attention until it is needed. WAKE UP people and get your act together or be standing on the outside looking in and wonder why you got left behind.

THE ACLU AND THE NAACP ARE ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN THE PERVIEW OF THE USA THEREFORE THEY ARE ELGIBLE TO MONITOR THE ELECTION. SEVERAL STATES ALLOW FORGIENERS TO MONITOR.......what is the problem??? WOULD YOU BE AGAINST THE MONITORING IF IT WERE FREEDOM WORKS????? Have we forgotten that the courts have had to step in about voter disenfranchisment,to the point that they have struck down some redistricting.These are places that tried to return us to prior to 1964 voters rights act.There basis for disenfranchisment is the same as it ways then except now we labeled it democrates rather than what it is ,and that is the targeting of minority voting blocks,and you want me to believe everything is ok.....your joking right.????????

Indian Wanting Coffee:

An Indian walks into a cafe with a shotgun in one hand and pulling a male buffalo with the other. He says to the waiter:

Hey Zook and Buckshot, did you guys see the news this morning? Looks like the ACLU and NAACP has requested that the UN of all idiots monitor the elections here in NOV. News stated the people would come from other countries and take the place of our normall poll places people and do the monitoring of the election. The UN, ACLU, or NAACP has no right having anything to do with elections in this country. Sure looks more like trying to get the votes all over to the libs.

yes and I apologize, I spelled Frank's last name wrong. Luntz. He asks the people directly how they feel about what has been said nor in some cases, not answered.

The undecided groups and the ones who voted for Obama are getting a chance to speak out on this issues and the lack of Detail presented by the Obama Administration.

They should have had enough time to each offer a short speech and had the debate been moderated properly, they would have.

Of course the mainstream media said Obama "won" the debate. I guess they think he "won" because he showed up this time and was aggressive and didn't stutter. But, as usual, he offered nothing of any substance and skirted around all the issues. He didn't answer any of the charges Romney brought up against him. He offered no plans for the next four years. He didn't give anyone a reason for wanting to give him another four. And the moderator interferring with the debate to help Obama out about the Libya issue was outrageous. And, to top it off - she was wrong!!! I'm sure she broke the debate rules and should never be allowed to moderate again. And notice how Obama got in that 47% comment right at the end when Romney didn't have a chance to respond.

People who voted for him last time saw that and remarked on it with Frank Lunce.

Crowley walked back her words on the Libya situation, but you won't see headlines about that anywhere. She was clearly wrong to interfere with the debate.

She didn't do all that great job of being non-biased either.

I thought that the questions the people asked were great. Most of them didn't get a straight answer from either man though.

Can you believe that the media is highlighting Paul Ryan doing a few dishes at a soup kitchen as a photo op, but strangely quiet on demanding the truth about the 4 people who died in Libya?

And the running argument is whether the dishes were really dirty or clean when he washed them?

Get real, all politicians like photo ops regardless of party.

Or the indignation that a proprietor dared to tell Mr. Obama the truth this morning about his business? He asked the question but didn't like the answer too much.

That is me being cranky today.

Here this explains what happened better... my previous comment was confusing and it looks like 2 American company's were competing against each other for the batteries to be made in South Korea. Do I have that right or am I still off the mark?

It lost out on supplying batteries for the Chevrolet Volt to South Korea's LG Chem, with General Motors executives at the time citing the more established firm as a safer bet.

Yea Mike I noticed that first thing this morning checking computer news. Was thinking the same as you and figured that was one way to take the heat off the President. I never kneww the Secretary of State didn't keep the President informed of events such as that something could be in the works. Maybe like stated last week on the News maybe Obama should be attending more of the intel briefings and find out what is going on around the world with Americans at risk.

I have to add to my last comment, Though I thought the comedian's comment was funny, I thought that Ryan did a great job holding his own with all the smirking, laughing and interupting by Biden. Unfortunately, probably a lot of what Ryan was saying or trying to say was lost because of all the interupting by Biden and the Moderator.

How can you say the video was dishonest without saying Romney is dishonest...Wasn't that Romney speaking on the video? Or is it he has changed his stance since he spoke on the pieced together video? The video might be pieced together but it was Romney speaking at different venues.

This will probably be the most important election in our lifetimes, Joe. I know I don't want America to become like the failed European socialist countries. I know I don't want to leave my kids with a mountain of debt to deal with the rest of their lives - ensuring they will never have the same standard of living or opportunities that we had. I think a lot of people don't understand the seriousness of what lies ahead for this country if we again vote in the same fiscally irresponsible, tax and spend into oblivion people. I always thought it was lazy and stupid for people to vote for a particular party just because their parents or grandparents did. The parties today don't even remotely resemble what they were 30 or 40 years ago.
