Stimulus Sham

Posted Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at 5:02 PM

E-Mail I got yetersday and interesting seems like the way the U.S. Government works these days. Forgot to mention computer crashed and I haven't been around and still got more problems facing me but will get them worked out.

Very Interesting!

INTERESTING...

It's a slow day in the small town of Pump Handle and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody is living on credit.

A tourist visiting the area drives through town, stops at the motel, and lays a $100 bill on the desk saying he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs to pick one for the night.

Looks good on paper, but no one really did anything, or produced anything, or changed anything ... got it ? ... Did this trouble your brain a bit??

The folks in Washington are experts at this.

As soon as he walks upstairs, the motel owner grabs the bill and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher.

(Stay with this... and, do pay attention! )

The butcher takes the $100 and runs down the street to retire his debt to the pig farmer.

The pig farmer takes the $100 and heads off to pay his bill to his supplier, the Co-op.

The guy at the Co-op takes the $100 and runs to pay his debt to the local prostitute, who has also been facing hard times and has had to offer her "services" on credit.

The hooker rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill with the hotel Owner.

The hotel proprietor then places the $100 back on the counter so the traveler will not suspect anything.

At that moment the traveler comes down the stairs, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, picks up the $100 bill and leaves.

No one produced anything. No one earned anything. However, the whole town now thinks that they are out of debt and there is a false atmosphere of optimism and glee.

And that, my friends, is how a "stimulus package" works!

It makes me wonder what is going on with him that in a short time he has gone haywire.

Has he had a previous record of consuming to much alcohol and has in the past had a sexual harassment problem? Maybe that will come out later........

If not then what made him change?

The DUI thing was always suspect, but after a few months of carefully avoiding the radar of the local media, McGee had moved "on", relatively none the worse for wear.

The sexual harassment appears to have happened or was OBSERVED(my speculation) sometime last week and was settled with his resignation on Monday.

Was it settled because the victim got SAGE advice and followed up? Was it settled because it was caught on video in the halls of the Statehouse or at one (or MORE) of a dozen bars near there? OR, was it settled because it was an election year?

My point is that McGee got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and HIS PEERS in the Legislature saw to it that he will now get the opportunity to live with HIS truths.

And Joe, I totally agree with the original blog.. Great way to describe our state of affairs (no pun intended).

I love this analogy. Been a little under the weather myself the past couple weeks.

My dad always called it Robbing Peter to Pay Paul.

Could it have been that "fibber McGee" and "Mollie" were not really in Pump Handle?

Just asking, mind you....

:+)

Hi Joe

I liked that email....I think I will share it with some others.

I'm happy your well, I was getting a little worried about you because you haven't posted in awhile.

I was thinking about asking about you on one of the blogs but then I would probably get reprimanded by someone for being off topic, so I didn't ask...

The government says $100 floats around town 7 times before leaving.

Wonder who wasn't in town that day?
