I have always liked your recipes. Please forgive me if I didn't comment on them. I think that you contribute a great service to the blogger space.
I really haven't used a cookbook in years, but I love to read the cookbooks and buy the really old ones. They have great memories by the owners between the covers.
I think that you have just given me an idea for my next blog.
Keep posting them please, I really think that all of us supply a certain purpose and talent.
Where is this poll of the week?
Joe don't give up, if you enjoy blogging then keep it going. Sometimes you will get comments and sometimes maybe not, but what is most important is you enjoy posting your recipes.
You can never figure out people. I've been selling my crafts on the internet seems like forever and sometimes I can excited about something I made and think it is going to sell fast, and then it doesn't. It sits forever, and then I can make something I'm not particular happy with, didn't come out the way I wanted it to. The color was wrong or it didn't look all that appealing to me and then bingo it gets sold right away.
I think it works the same way with your Recipes you never know what kind of response you will get. I am sure there are a lot of readers out there that don't leave comments because they aren't the type that like to do that or some might not want to even sign up so they can leave a comment.
I'm starting to get burned out on the Political blogs so I might change it up again and write about how to knit a dog sweater. lol !
Oh that poll. I have three or four pages on face book that I administer and they still contact me to make an announcement. People seem so shy
Thanks, Mike, Marylin, and Bonnie for all the nice words of encouragement, was very nice of you folks. I know when I started this the MH News staff told me to run with it and thought it was a great idea and still is.
Maybe its not the comments that don't show up, I just get down now and then and feel why bother. I know there alot of people reading it. I have passed the info on to other family members and yahoo friends all the way to Aussie land and England.
I am by no means a chef but it has been my way of giving back to people something I know how to do. After overnight thinking, I have decided to go ahead and take a break from it for a period. I won't call the News and put it inactive or have it deleted. Guess I need a bit of time and refresh my memory and come back at a later date with the posts. Something I have been thinking about over night is not just post what I eat and the way I do things. I have alot of recipes from the cookbooks I got from my Mom and most of them go back longer than I have been around.
You folks can tell what you think about posting recipes which I don't care of fix but maybe some of you would be interested.
Joe a while back I had a recipe idea but I didn't want to start blogging recipes when you have already been doing that. I got my idea from the movie Julie and Julia and if you haven't seen that movie you should rent it. I am sure you will like watching it.
Anyways I was thinking of picking a recipe each week, one I had never made before and make it. Then write about it, if I liked it or if it needed something more to it and etc.
I'm glad your not going to give up.... If you enjoy doing it then keep it going. :)
Me too. You inspired me last night to write a blog and for that I am grateful.
We all need to showcase the talents and observations that we have. I have appreciated all of the comments made on my blogs and I resolve to at least say that I read them.
MsMarilyn,
How much hair does it take to knit a dog sweater? I'd love to have one to match my kitten mittens. Woof!
I know it's off track, Joe, but I couldn't resist. Stay with your blog EE...there has to be something more to this site than political/socio opinion and sensitivities. Good food is always welcome.
Junkyard dog probably about as much as it would take to make a possum stew..... Woof Woof !
Thanks JYD, no problem on the off subject comment, I can handle ones like that, Good answer MsM. LOL
Just went back and looked, I didn't see where I posted the one for Elephant Stew, have to keep that one in mind LOL, surely most will get a kick out of it especially those that haven't seen it and for those of you that have no tell yet LOL
Just a bit of info when I posted the dump cake recipe I had never made it, but I did a few weeks after the post so I went back and made a couple of changes I figured it needed if anyone wants to make the change.
Elephant Stew? now thats interesting lol !
What changes did you make for the dump cake? And how did you like it?
