2-Large green bellpeppers

1-Lb 92% hamburg

1-Tsp salt

1-Tsp garlic powder

1/2-Tsp red pepper flakes

1/4-Cup cracker or bread crumbs

1-TBsp coarsely ground black pepper

1/4-Cup diced onion

15-Ounce can tomato sauce

Optional-15-Ounce can diced tomatoes

1-Large egg

1/4-Cup instant uncooked rice

Cut peppers in half length wise and clean removing stem

Mix the tomato sauce and seasoning plus 8 oz water and the diced tomatoes if used

Mix hamburg, onion, rice, egg, and crumbs (If you like add 1/3 lb of good sausage)

Put the peppers in a baking dish and fill the peppers with the hamburg mix

Pour the tomato sauce and seasoning over peppers and into the dish

Cover and bake 350 degrees for about an hour

I like to serve them with mashed potatoes and warm french bread or rolls
