Swedish MeatballsPosted Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at 2:35 PM
1/2 lb sausage, like Jimmy Dean or other name brand 1/2 Cup cracker crumbs or bread crumbs 1/4 Cup heated milk 1 Tsp coarsely ground black pepper 1/2 Cup mashed potatoes 1/2 Cup Diced onion 1 Large Egg 1 Tsp sugar 1 Tsp salt Mix hamburg, sausage, onion, sugar, salt and pepper. Add the mashed potatoes, crumbs, and hot milk Roll in ball's and roll in flour. Add a bit of oil to your skillet and lightly brown the meatballs Put in a baking dish/pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes (Best to turn them once while baking ) Works well to serve country gravy when they served, with mashed tators, vegatable of choice and always nice to have some warm french bread to go along with the meal Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Another great recipe I'll try -- thanks.
By the way, I love Cody. He looks just like our lab mix, who lived about 14-15 years (we're not sure how old he was when he joined us.) We really miss him a lot. Great picture!
How old is Cody? He is adorable........
Thanks for the comments on Cody and the recipe. Cody was 8 this past April. He's my buddy and is a pure bred Lab just not registered.
