For Good or bad the Shield broke the mold and changed the rules

Tonight is the third to the final episodes of the hit TV Cop drama on FX called the Shield.

In many ways the Shield broke many of the molds of what was accepable and not acceptable on a basic cable network.

From some really racy scenes, partial nudity and language the Shield presented life in Farmington California and the hoods that ruled the street in a very realistic way. Although the continuity directors failed in a few ways like having the uniform officers wearing their badges on the right chest rather than left.

But over all the Shield had great writing, better than best acting and brought many subjects that many did not want to look at into our homes.

FX also took the lead by taking the concepts of what was presented on The Sopranos and the idea of what many believe is the biker image, and brought them together as the now hit TV show, Sons of Anarchy.

However and I wont say where I saw it because I forget where I saw it , but there was a web site I saw that said there is talk of doing up movie version of the Soprano's. All I know is if I were going to see a shrink, I would love to have a shrink that looked like the shrink Tony Soprano had on the TV show. The same character also appeared on the movie called the Goodfellers.

In any mile watch tonights episode of the Shield. 11:00PM on FX
