At least some are noticing that the crazy man here might not be so far out there after all. The Confederate Party is something that I put out there in Pocatello but was hammered on about it many times. Our current form or system of Government is broken. Our freedom, and liberty is being taken away bit by bit. The financial system is about to break, right out from under us. The big depression of the 1930's will be a community fair compared with what's coming. Granted the President can only do so much its up to Congress etc to dictate and push policy. We got snubbed by Larry Craig's deal with the touchy feely bit in the Men's room, Idaho was the topic of many Jay Leno jokes, but the issues from water to farm policy (have you heard much about farm policy during this election?) to truckers issues, like fixing the H-O-S (hours of service) regulations, reducing the road taxes that truckers have to pay, to CDL issues, and so on.( I tried to get even one of those running for office in Idaho to take a ride in a truck across Idaho or even state lines to see what its like) But got told I was the idiot. Huckabee and so on would have been good for President, although not of the Confederate Party he does come from a Confederate state. Lets make Idaho the northern Confederate State. If you REALLY want to know why we are so up in arms over a nuclear plant...read the Banter Box on the front page of the electronic paper. It is that easy---IF you really care. Go through the enitre history, top to bottom. If not, do not ask questions on the topic. You live in the 80's anyway and need to catch up to the rest of us.
you do realize the South went down in flames a long time ago right? I seriously doubt any Civil War action took place in Idaho to begin with.
I'M with YOU on this, one, Pat. The South was wrong on the slavery thing, but they've got it together everywhere else.
Under a modern Confederacy:
"Big Brother" wouldn't exist...neither would the "Federal Reserve" or the 1-world order U.N.
It would be legal to shoot the "revenooers"
Government would mind its own businesss and stay out of ours. Patriot Act------------gone.
We'd pay tax on what we bought and nothing else.
Our Constitution would be respected.
The 10 Commandments and our flag would be respected.........if you didn't like it, you could leave.
There'd be ONE LANGUAGE in this country, and if you didn't like THAT, you could leave.
There'd be little need for prisons. Only oak trees, and we'd start with the bleeding-heart shysters.
OUR troops would be guarding OUR borders.
There would be no foreign aid, and all trade would be on a one-for-one exchange..."Y'all don't like it...... GIT!!"
No politician at ANY level serves more than 2 terms.

Nudity and vulgarity would be in the strip joints, not on public television.
Moonshine and such would be legal.........what a man did on his own property would be HIS business.
Along those lines, all real Americans have a right to defend themselves........(if you don't like guns, don't buy one), but the rest of us are gonna be a-keepin' OURS!

I would INDEED support a Confederacy (except for slavery). It made a lot better sense than the "Northern bureaucracy" our country has been saddled with since.
One of the greatest travesties, is that 99% of the American people have been taught that the south only cared about their cotton plantations and nothing else. Truth is, most of their values were far beyond what is considered the "norm" today, in this sick society.
