Remember someone alone this holiday season
Posted Friday, November 21, at 7:44 PM

Trust me here I'm not feeling sorry for myself here or anything as I do have elsewhere to be this Thanksgiving, and even Christmas although Christmas Eve I'll be working my tow truck. However in years gone by, when it comes to both Thanksgiving or Christmas, have any one thought, what about taking a small gift or even a card to someone you know who is all alone?...

Said it before but will say it again and I am working on the solution
Posted Friday, November 21, at 7:28 PM

I have said it before, but I'll say it again, When are we in Elmore County or the area, although I do think Glenns Ferry would be served better by becoming part of Gooding County as it was once. But that's for another time, but when are we to get a daily newspaper in our area?...

Life as you may know it about to change
Posted Thursday, November 20, at 11:16 PM

I have gotten some 411 from the CNP that has me more committed to the cause. For all who really care about freedom, and lack of government intervention on your rights both human or otherwise, I urge you to go to www.confederateamericanpride.com and look over things it might open your eyes and get you to not have your head in the sand...

Ethnic Diversity
Posted Wednesday, November 19, at 7:12 PM

There are many who consider the deep south and all as racist. Then there are some who say that some who creep up over our southern borders both legally and otherwise are taking our jobs. I'll tell you this, when ever I really needed help whether that's fixing a rig, or if I got short on cash and needed to bumb a can of SKOAL, I usually can depend on a Mexican American, more than I can of anyone white...

One Hurdle jumped history in the remaking
Posted Tuesday, November 18, at 10:06 PM

The sweat is partly over now as it is official, Dixie Towing of sweet Glenns Ferry is now of the ECSO Tow list. Yea! We made it. Now attention will be gave to that and building a business based on the images and attitudes of all things Hazzard County as it was once, and will and is now...

The Last Episode, of:
Posted Tuesday, November 18, at 12:53 AM

Tonight, Tuesday will be the last episode of the hit cop drama the Shield. I have reviewed the show previously, but will expand my thoughts on this show Wednesday morning. 23:00 hours on FX, this is one you will not want to miss. The big question is what will FX replace the Shield with?...

Praise deserved
Posted Monday, November 17, at 10:02 PM

I may gripe about a lot of things and even companies that give me a real pain in the 6. However when I find a company that goes to the mat more over two, I need to give praise for a job well done. Thing was Monday afternoon with things going towing and all cell phone quit. ...

Another day in Hazzard County
Posted Monday, November 17, at 4:00 PM

I woke up this morning, got the stuff with the ESO tken care of, only to find a few who still thinks I'm such a bad person. The situation of me playing cop so to speak dates back to the few months I resided in Power County, when the Sheriff there was running for re-election. ...

Going truckin in Hazzard,
Posted Monday, November 17, at 1:08 AM

In 1975 as many did watched movies about truckers and trucking. Back then the CB radio was extra popular and I got one. I'd listen endlessly to those rigs rolling down the big road and dreamed of going trucking in a classic Peterbilt both chrome stacks blowing black coal hauling it. But who the heck hires a kid to drive a rig?...

So why would a towing service advertise on TV? and the Tow(toe) Mystery
Posted Monday, November 17, at 12:34 AM

I will not ever say Dixie Towing or the Hazzard Garage was the first to go on TV with ads for our type of company. Back then it was pretty much Yellow Pages and maybe an ad sometimes in a want ad paper. However in 1985 after I was required by a Trust Fund administrator to move to Boise, I saw an ad done by HELP Towing...

Another Manic Monday coming
Posted Sunday, November 16, at 2:21 PM

As the final week before Thanksgiving comes, and hearing sirens outside tells me tow calls that should be at least one out of three be mine. Our Sheriffs office is going to get an ear full Monday morning. Why this should be such a pain in a town that has at best 1,000 people in it and a County with just a bit under 40,000 in it is beyond me, but I guess the way I think and that of the area is a bit difference so what to do?...

Slaves to technology
Posted Saturday, November 15, at 11:10 PM

In our modern lives we sure become slaves to technology. When that Technology goes sour we nearly loose what little bit of sanity we have left. Case-n-point, sending 411 to Utah to update for some DOT filings all of a sudden nothing, lights on modem start blinking and I begin to have a fit...
