Stop the Favre insanity

At first, this is hard for me to write as a 49ers fan, yes I admit I am a 49ers fan, but this whole thing involving Brett Favre has been nothing but ridiculous. Granted, if Favre really had the itch to play, he never should have retired, but if he wants to come back, let him come back.

The Packers are in the wrong here, in not giving him a shot or at least have the decency to release him so he could play else where but that would still be weird, think back to when Montana played for the Chiefs, it just didn't look right.

The whole thing, with Favre using the Packer cell phone to call the Vikings, STOP IT, STOP THE MADNESS, all the other sports writers claim that this story is so compelling, when it is nothing but childish.

The Packers look like a team to contend this year, wether with Rodgers or Favre, personally I think Rodgers should have his day, he was Favre's understudy for so long, it's now his time.

For Favre ending up on a different team would be weird, it would still allow Favre to continue playing the game he has excelled for the last 17 years (16 with the Packers).
