Stop the Favre insanity At first, this is hard for me to write as a 49ers fan, yes I admit I am a 49ers fan, but this whole thing involving Brett Favre has been nothing but ridiculous. Granted, if Favre really had the itch to play, he never should have retired, but if he wants to come back, let him come back...
July 4 Grossout (Hot Dog Eating Contest) Ali vs. Frazier, Bird vs. Magic, Yankees vs. Red Sox rivalries that have lived in sports enfamy. Ode To A Legend Last week, stand up comedy lost a legend. George Carlin passed away at age 71 to heart failure. A noted piece of Carlin's material is now the infamous "7 words you cant say on Television" Carlin was not ashamed to say what was on his mind and he didn't care who he offended, especially religion. The categories may seem off the wall like Best Kiss, Best Fight, Best Summer Movie So Far and Best Villain, but that's what makes the show entertaining. Besides it's not like the big stars don't come out for the MTV awards...
Let's Go To The Videotape (MLB Instant Replay) Instant Replay-Something that may considered a burden in professional sports, but if it is such a burden why is it used in the NFL, the NBA and the NHL. I am all for instant replay, it is a benefit to professional sports. One sport that needs to get with the program is Major League Baseball. Over the last few weeks, there have been several home runs, that have been either called wrong or changed from home runs to base hits...
