I often get random ideas or lines that I think would be fun to develop and see where they go. This normally happens when I'm in the shower or driving. I'll play with the lines for a few minutes then go about doing whatever I was doing and forget about what I just created in my head. I always thought I should write these ideas down, but I never have for a number of reasons. I was talking to a friend and fellow writer and he encouraged me to start writing them down.
What follows is my first attempt at doing that. I'm not sure if it's any good or not, I have no base for comparison and I know nothing about poetry. But it's a start, I know that much. You say you like my kiss but that there's something missing. It's your heart and soul. You gave them to another who gave them back to you And you're still broken It's going to take time for your pain to heal But there's no rush, take your time. I want to make you believe Believe in princess and fairytales again I'm not saying it's going to be perfect, Life never is. Just give me a chance, All I need is one dance. I won' let you down, tears won't fall from your face. Not this time. I want to make you believe Believe in princesses and fairytales again No white horses, no suit of armor I'll slay your fears with just my touch You don't need a tiara to be my princes Just look at me with those beautiful brown eyes And I'll fall for you every time. Sometimes I'll share whatever random thought I might have that day but most of the time, I like to write about things going on in the news. I'm a total news junkie, I spend a lot of time online at various news sites. If I find a story where someone does something totally stupid or I wonder "what were they thinking?" I don't mind pointing it out incase others missed it or taking my best guess at what they were thinking. I like to laugh, I like to make others laugh. There's so much serious and wrong stuff going on in the news that when I find an unusual or light story, I like to use it. And while real life news events might be the focus of many of my blogs, I'm just trying to entertain you, make you laugh and maybe even think about something you didn't know before reading. I'm not trying to break any serious news or deliver any hard-hitting coverage. You'll have to read a paper or watch one of the network shows for that.
