Here We Go, Folks

Posted Sunday, November 30, 2008, at 7:35 PM

I knew it wouldn't be long...there is an "Ammunition Accountability Act" under way, that 18 states (thus far) are going to be entertaining on their House and Senate floors. (Idaho isn't one of them).

It would require all ammo manufacturers to put SERIAL NUMBERS on each projectile............and NONE of this ammo to be sold without registration of the buyer.......Who? How much? What caliber? I.D. and address required.

After June 30th, 2009...........only encoded ammo can be sold. Any privately-held UN-encoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2009. This of course would include HANDLOADS.

Now, it would be virtually impossible for the Feds to know about ammo we ALREADY have, but they could sure as heck ban manufacturing, or public sale of reloading components. I doubt seriously, that anyone is going to just take his "old ammo" out somewhere and just destroy it.............of course, you NEVER KNOW about some of these fools running around loose these days.

The whole concept is stupid. No little tiny stamping on a copper bullet jacket is going to withstand the heat and vortex of jacket expansion under fire.

No......what this is, is yet another way for them to see WHO has WHAT, as we're going to have to sign for our ammo if the state we live in goes along with this "invasion of privacy."

It's also going to raise the price of ammo, if the manufacturers have to spending the extra consuming time to have MILLIONS of bullets "code-stamped." during manufacture.

Part of the intent is "persistence." They couldn't get it done through the courts, so they'll try to do whatever it takes to hassle and hamper the honest............."Stiffen penalties for the hoods? Take away THEIR rights instead?..........are you kidding? No....let's just make it tougher and more discouraging for honest people, and maybe if we hound the bullet makers enough, and cause enough manufacturing restrictions, they'll just close their doors and quit."

Actually, they may just stop selling ammunition to the states that endorse this idiotic plan.............and that'll be just fine with "Big Brother."

It'll basically become ILLEGAL to even RELOAD your own ammo.

I've spent the better part of last night and today, tracking down the following information--------feel free to "double check" my list, if you so desire.

By state, bill number, sponsor and party affiliation:

If you STILL think all this "get 'em now while you can" is a bunch of ranting paranoia, start doing the math.........and it's not even January 20th yet***

Incidently..................scanning the list of Senators and Representatives, looking to further impair our rights, do ANY of you happen to see what EVERY ONE of them have in common?

Every One of them.

But at least they're honest about it..........they ARE the "party of change."

At least a half dozen were carried over from 2007, and there are several introduced just months ago. Info retrieved from various sources on the net.............they aren't "ancient" either.

Like most of the antigun legislation, they are waiting until after Obama and his "party of change" takes over, so they'll be SURE of having the required votes to push a lot of this U.N. communist crap through.

We're going to see firearms and ammunition bans and restrictions, the likes of which have never been seen before.

In our own way, there are a TON of us out here who have been looking FORWARD to it. Just waitin' for the "kickoff!"

One of the first things on the Democrat agenda will be the re-enactment of the Clinton Assault Rifle Ban......you know, the one that's supposed to "END THERE."...............unless you talk to Feinstein, Bloomberg, Schumer, Obama, Boxer, Pelosi, Biden, etc.............

Once this new "regime" is seated in-place......they will PASS whatever they desire. No chance of being out-voted or vetoed.

Implimentation though, will be an animal of a much different color!

It isn't rocket science among the shooting fraternity, that the old Clinton Assault Ban will be first, followed closely by ANY handgun the Dems deem to be of "assault nature" as well. Over the first few days following the election, the "black rifles" as they're called, sold like hotcakes all over this country.

Gun sales in general, have risen sharply, as much as 49% in one of the states..............hey, I know of two DEMOCRATS who just went out and not only stocked up on ammo, but added some weapons as well.............Jacknife, when you see DEMOCRATS doing that, what does THAT tell you?

Back to the serialized bullet issue, it is NOT dead. It's stupid, but it hasn't gone away. By the time they DO get some of them passed, it'll be too late anyway.

The NRA has always been a true ally to honest gunowners. There have always been an ample number of Republican Senators and Congressmen in D.C. who are LIFE MEMBERS. Whenever the Democrats start putting these bills together, we've always been notified far enough ahead, to take countermeasures.

Since the early days of the Clinton administration, we all knew what was coming and many of us started putting things together, a little bit at a time, think back THEN that "it COULD happen here"

The fleecing of New Orleans removed all doubt. Most of us are more than ready, and the rest WILL be in short time.

Obama's election by itself, is not the reason for the hundreds of thousands of arsenals amassed. By legislated records ALONE, we've known for YEARS where the Dems stand on trying to take away our rights. While some began to stockpile, many remained watchful but complacent, because as stupid as the various anti-gun bills were, there were always enough GOP votes to override the foolishness, and quite often, a right wing President to veto, if necessary.

Obama's early dominance in the polls woke a lot of people up..and they knew by this time, via Katrina, that "martial law" IS possible.

We all KNEW Biden's record, and although a very short one, we knew Obama's record as well. We were also well aware of the fact that Bush's ineptness might cost a lot of GOP setas, and even if McCain HAD won, liberty in America might STILL be in trouble.

So the guns and ammo increases actually began a year or so ago. As the election drew near, things moved a little more.

When Obama pulled it off, and all those seats were lost in the Congress.......everybody KNEW they'd better act if they wanted anything.

The voting history of the Democrats on our gun rights have been well documented for the last 4 decades. When the numbness of the election started wearing off, those of us who'd been procrastinating.....wasted no time!

Jacknife....our country, our Constitution, our sovereignty, our very freedoms have NEVER in our 230 year history, been in the jeopardy it's going to be in after Obama and his crew are sworn in.

HOW DO I KNOW THEY'RE GOING TO DO IT?

I don't. But they're in the best position they'll ever be in............they'll control it ALL (for the next two years at least). Nothing to stop them from passing EVERY age-old agenda they've ever caressed.

If they screw things up, the balance of power in Congress could easily re-shift to the right two years from now and they know it.

That party has tried EVERYTHING to disarm us all these years, from Clinton Bans, to lawsuits against manufacturers, and have always come up a bit short.

In 2009, the bank vault door will be open, no sheriff to guard it. They can do what they want, and will have at LEAST two full years to trash our Constitution to their heart's desire, before that door can close on them.

They virtually HAVE to go after our gun rights in those first two years, or the opportunity might never come again...............that's why the urgency in our "fraternity."

Also, thanks to the NRA, we'll always know who's "friend or foe."

Think so?

Most of these are over a year old and we're never passed. The others don't seem to exist. I think the NRA or where ever you get your info from are hedging the truth a bit.

I can't see HOW they could possibly apply that to shotguns...or cap & ball muzzle loaders either for that matter. We DO have to consider the "mentality" of the left, here.

Hey Bro'...........just go back, pick out ANY of these bills at random and look at the actual state copies of the verbage in these propositions, and tell me how YOU read it?

It's one of the dumbest things they've ever come up with..................slick too, when you think about it. To get the database of private info they want, you would either have to pay for it with your credit card, or SIGN for your ammo, or both.

Hitler would be proud to know his legacy is ALIVE and WELL in America, a country he'd once hoped to conquer by military force.

I read somewhere that only TEXAS has the "right" to secede, but I think we should do it anyway. I think the people should DEMAND it of Otter, Crapo & company.

The only one I've ever got to talk to PERSONALLY about that was Bill Sali, who ALSO thinks we'd be better off with the Feds out of our lives........and you know what happened to HIM!

I'D certainly be all for it, and would gladly help guard the border.

I've had ENOUGH of this crap, Benjogilvy.....I find it exceedingly hard to believe that the REST of this country still seems willing to take what they're handed...........no questions asked.

Our founding fathers would be proud of US, wouldn't they?

But as they say........."You can't cry RAPE, if you didn't struggle."

Zook: how on earth can this apply to shotguns with anywhere between one and 200 pellets inside the casing, how on earth would you number every one of them individually? Does this mean shotguns will be illegal? how about the home defense handgun loads (mini shotgun shells in handgun calibers) will those now be illegal too? Great googily moogily we're in a heap of hooey and its gettin deeper. Does Idaho have the right to secede?
