No Trivial Matter

Posted Thursday, November 27, 2008, at 12:51 PM

I consider Ex-Intern as a special enough contributor, I'm writing this one just for him!

I started to respond to his last response, then decided I didn't want it buried amongst the others. This one's gonna get its own blog.

No, Ex, you HAVEN'T seen any evidence of any Kenyan documents, because they haven't been allowed to RELEASE anything! I think there's a REASON for that!

And it doesn't matter if "more people think he's the guy to lead this country"........in the mid-30's, Adolph Hitler, through HIS charisma and ability to speak and motivate, was ALSO thought to be the one to lead. Hitler was in fact NOT a German himself, but an Austrian. And we KNOW what followed, don't we?

Our Constitution (that worthless old parchment of paper that doesn't seem to mean much anymore)........is VERY concise on this. You've GOT to be 35+...and you've GOT to be a U.S. born citizen.

Yes, practically all of us have seen that copy of the Hawaiian birth certicate, but many claim it a forgery.

That DOESN'T mean it IS. Personally, I can't tell a forgery from the real thing. If he's Hawaiian born, fine. He got elected and we're stuck with him and Biden, God help us.

But Ex-Intern..........your boy slammed the door on that Kenyan hospital thing, the way a drug dealer would stash his "stash" when the cops arrived.

Even YOU, Mike.........don't even YOU find that just a wee bit odd? You know if it was ME...........and I had nothing to hide, I'd just snicker a little, sign the release consent and tell them to "Go for it!"

And why not...........there's nothing there to find, is there?......or IS there? I also understand he's hired three law firms to defend himself on this Kenyan matter. Makes you want to say "Hmmmmmmmm....." doesn't it?

Remember that WHOEVER the President is, will always be under a microscope. Your life is not your own during your term, and you either take the heat or get out of the kitchen. Obama, however you might feel about him, needs to come clean about this...........and if there's nothing to it, why sweat some horpital in Kenya?

You Dems cried about having the White House "stolen" from you during the "hanging chads" episode in Bush/Gore, yet through your lawyers, you got thousands of overseas absentee ballots disinfranchised, because "they'd be a few days late getting stateside." BULL-manure!

Your side KNOWS that active dury military folks PREDOMINATELY vote Republican, because of the screwing theyve always gotten when the dems have been in power. (From LBJ--forward).

2000 was going to be VERY close and both sides knew it. It was VITAL that the overseas military votes NOT get counted. It was DISGRACEFUL, Ex,.......they VERY PEOPLE who PROTECT your rights and way of life...........and all those votes got tossed aside..........and not because of US!

2008............not only has the media been on your side...........but those of you who got "robbed" in 2000, were "innocently silent" as ACORN was gathering up every illegal registration they could....amd we never heard anything from YOUR side even after we all saw on LIVE television, members of the Black Panther Party outside the poles trying to intimidate white voters from entering the poles. You don't see even the DIRTIEST of Repubs doing something like that.........I guess that's "different" though, eh?

OUR side doesn't NEED to appeal to ILLEGALS. And it hasn't been OUR side that objects to "Proper voter I.D." Why is that a hard issue with the left?

Oh yeah, the Dems are always having things "stolen" from them.

Nothing against you personally, Mike, I believe you're ok............I really do. But your PARTY has a HISTORY of election fraud that does NOT warrant just "taking Barack's word for anything." His hard and fast roadblock of that hospital in Kenya does NOT help his argument, either.

If he's ok....all well and good. But this isn't for a city council position. Given the integrity and sheer magnitude of the office he's been elected to, if there's a legitimate question about his QUALIFICATION to even RUN for the office, it needs to be put to rest. This is NOT some trivial "sore loser" issue.

Additionally........Ex-Intern (and please feel free to check THIS out).....you MUST be an Indonesian citizen to go to SCHOOL there!) So, how did he do THAT? And if he actually WAS an American citizen at the time, would he have NOT had to have it RENOUNCED first?

Please explain to this paranoid old right-winger how that works, so I too may know.

You know....the Republican Party I originally joined 35+ years a go, is a vile piece of crap today by comparison, but even at THAT, we're not quite in the same league with the left. We still have a small conservative base that DOES have scruples. Most "Independent" votes come from this group, because most Independent candidates stand better than a lot of our GOP general membership does on the issues.

You guys will never understand that, because you put party over country. Always.

But Ex-Intern............it all goes with the job. Whether we're talking about Slick Willie & Monica, Nixon & Watergate or Obama & Kenya, the President is scrutinized at a higher level than anyone else..............and he SHOULD be. He has the highest level job. He wanted it. And when he gets it, he gets ALL of it. He gets the dog food along with the steak. If there is a skeleton somewhere in his closet, as there ARE with MOST of us...he should have thought about that before he ever ran.

The White House is the biggest one in America. The most powerful seat, and as "Tricky Dick" and "Slick Willie' can tell you...............you can't "pass gas" without SOMEONE hearing it. If you're gonna do it, you have to do it better and cleaner than anyone else, because EVERYBODY's watching you!

This needs to be cleared up. This is a CONSTITUTIONAL concern, and definitely NOT the trivial matter you guys like to dismiss it as.

The "Messiah" will fix all that is wrong with the USA as well as other places. Why worry? In a little over a month all will be well. The seas will part, the burning bush will come to life and all farmers will be able to tap a stick and produce massive amounts of water. It is ALL good. We shall all be saved! God help us, really.

Hey.......I've NEVER defended Bush on ANYTHING except his wanting to drill in the artic when he first took office. The Dems blocked it, but now say they favor it (only because it was politically correct to do so during Obama's campaign).

We can banter back and forth all day about Obama's legitimacy, but I'm sure we both know it'll get swept over in the end.

It all may well be prophesy, as it was pointed out to me, not too long ago.

To the rest of you out here locally, don't forget the 10th and 11th at the fairgrounds

And if we're holding Obama responsible for the Blank Panthers in Philadelphia do we get to hold McCain and Palin responsible for the Pittsburgh staffer who cut up her own face and filed a false police report alleging an Obama supporter did it?

It's only been "my" party since forty-five days before the primary, as Pennsylvania's cut-off is thirty days before the primary, and mostly then so I could vote against Clinton and for a guy who right now appears to be unfortunately very cautious in pursuing new directions in policy.

I have every intention of re-registering in 2010 if I wish to vote in a Republican Senate or gubernatorial primary race. Ah, the freedom of being willing to jump through the asinine hoops of a so-called "closed" primary to vote for the candidates I think are the best.

And in 2000, I voted for McCain and Nader. I don't have to defend the tactics of Gore or Bush in the recount, or your example of questioning the inclusion of military absentee ballots - as I remember it they backed down from that position when Lieberman couldn't defend it - for the somewhat obvious reason of being indefensible - on Meet the Press, anyways.

I can think of any number of reasons for Obama not to sign a consent form - not the least of which is still the weight of evidence he was born in Hawaii already available. How much time should he spend helping people, whose goal is to prevent him from implementing any policies and to pursue ANY unverified rumor - even multiple, unrelated rumors while ignoring contrary evidence - to achieve such a goal?

Has Obama verified the authenticity of any Kenyan records for himself yet? For all your conspiracy rantings isn't it JUST as likely at this juncture someone may have planted records that clear him, and wants his signature to the release of records eventually exposed to be bogus?

Both sides are just as prone to crookedness. George W. Bush's little brother was on the Chinese dictators' payroll. They funnelled $2 million to him through a position at Grace Semiconductor, despite little Neal having no experience in the field. They also supplied him with prostitutes. Where was the conservative outrage been over this state of affairs? You and a handful of others may criticize Bush but most of his critics are johnies-come-lately upset they've lost power.

Also, why did the media cover this for one day and then promptly forget about it? If they were nearly as liberal as you claim they are they'd have spent the last four years beating Bush over the head with it.

Nice post Mike. I agree with most of what you say. However, the requirement for citizenship to attend school was not true back in the late 70's or early 80's in Indonesia. I'm not sure what the requirement would have been when the Messiah went to school there. I have personal experience with that situation. Money talks.

Mike,

Well said as usual, happy turkey day to you and yours and to Exintern as well. We all have so much to still be thankful for at this point in time so let's enjoy it while we can. As far as the whole birth issue.. as far as I can see it is a loose loose situation either way, no matter what comes of it, it will NOT be pleasant. Just like life the true facts will eventually come to light, how about we ALL hope and pray that nothing insanely bad happens because of it.
